Yes, MF DOES work! If you can stick on the plan, it is a really good one in my opinion. I was not able to stay on it and found myself cheating every weekend, but a lot of people have a lot of success with the plan. It is also very healthy so you don't have to worry about not getting the stuff your body needs every day.

Yes it does work. But, you will have to make permanent changes in your eating and exercise lifestyle if you want to keep it off afterward.

Thanks for all your answers. when you are on MF plan, can you eat something else or just only MF meals? By eating those foods, you can lose weight, rite??? I need to lose 30 in this summer. i usually not exercise much. i tried to work out but no time ( i know it not a good excuse). I may try MF plan. let's see how many weights i can lose in one week.

You eat their meals 5 times a day and your meal once a day, but your meal is a lean and green meaning there are specific things you can have. I found myself looking forward to that lean and green meal all day. :)

Medifast (and other meal replacements) were designed for people who have more than 50#s to lose. As they are in the business to make money, these products are now marketed and sold to anyone.

With 30#s to lose, your weight loss will not be as rapid as someone who is much heavier. You could expect to lose about 2#s/week IF you eat only the 5 Medifast meals and the one healthy meal of non-starch veggies & lean protein each day.

It is a very restrictive diet and for it to work you cannot go off eating other things. It is also very expensive, especially if one does not stick to it. Then you have to learn how to eat correctly to be healthy and remain thin.

Dieting is not easy and there are no shortcuts. With 30#s to lose maybe a plan like South Beach might be better? It would cost you less and if you stayed on the unofficial Phase 1.5, your weight loss probably would be as fast as Medifast with that amount of weight to lose. Plus, you would be eating in a healthy way that you could use for the rest of your life.

Just my thoughts. Good luck in whatever diet plan you choose. :)

hi all ! Do I need come to center or just order online? I came to MF center today and asked about the program. They told me that i have to pay $ 630 for consultation that i will visit every week to measure body fat. it will be a year. plus i have to pay 70-80 a week for meals.

I want to ask that does any of you visit the center yet? if i order food online, and stick with the plans , will it work?

janellody 06-01-2009 08:54 PM

I never knew of any "centers" I just ordered it all online. I am sure going to the centers is cool and helpful but it isn't needed and I am sure cheaper if you don't go. You can go to the medifast website and order it. I also ordered a lot of mine on ebay.. although I don't think that like that much but hey I am a poor college student...

hey, i'm a poor college student, too. i visited MF website, and i don't know if i order whole package or separate. Which one do you refer? Is it better order on MF website or on Ebay?

janellody 06-02-2009 01:16 AM

Well I personally ordered all of mine on ebay... I never ordered any from the website. It was just a lot cheaper on ebay if you find the right deals. Also craigslist, got some free stuff from there from people who didn't like it or couldn't do it for various reasons... my mom ordered hers from the website a few times, though. I'm sure MF wants you to order from their site ;)

I ordered the 2 month and 2 free weeks kit. If you can pull the money together, it might be worth it. I'm not a poor college student anymore, but once was. I did the Ramens and mixed veggies thing.:D You might also want to check out WonderSlim from Diet Direct http://www.dietdirect.com/ It's a little cheaper and some of the foods seem to taste better. There is also more flexibility with fruits and such. I found that the money I saved on groceries made doing the program a push as far as my budget was concerned.

Whichever way you go, you need to start preparing yourself for life after the weight loss(I know, there goes Operator harping on maintenance again). But, you don't want to go thru this just to wind up back where you are with a little extra to show for it.

Good luck, whatever path you take on your journey.
