Default Jumping back in after taking a MediFast break

Hi Everyone,

I always lurk more than post, but you guys are awesome!

Anyhoo, I took a break from MediFast for a good amount of time. I was getting very bored with the foods and I wanted to switch up my meals a little so I could do some more running. So my running is back on track, so I'm going to taper it down to get back in the MediFast saddle and get these last about 30 pounds off.

BTW, during my dieting "break", I had NO weight gain at all. I ate very healthy, didn't overindulge, and I find that very encouraging! Sometimes there is at least a small rebound when coming off a diet such as MediFast, but I'm convinced that if you do it properly and eat right most of the time, MedFast really leads to success.

To be perfectly honest, I would probably just do straight calorie restriction if it weren't for the fact that I have a good amount of Medifast product left! It got me through the major weight loss, and I'm impressed with it.

Just thought I'd share!

Wish me luck on the last 30! And best wishes to all of you guys, of course!

Good luck, Purple Playdoh!

I was greatly relieved when I found after stopping MF that I didn't magically start gaining it back. Maintaining MF weight loss is do-able. My life took such a turn for the stressful, that I just stopped being focused on being healthy, and made choices that caused me to gain weight again. Immediately following my first loss with Medifast (which was around 40 pounds), I kept it off mostly by exercising (running) regularly for 6 months. Then when my life went roller coaster, I didn't/couldn't(?) put the appropriate amount of time and energy into my health. Once I stopped exercising and resumed old stress-eating patterns...well, you all know what happens....

I just remember, though, that my first time on MF, I found myself really worried that after following the plan strictly and feeling successful, that it would all disappear once I stopped eating on the MF plan. For anyone that is around that has that fear, let it go. It's just not the case. You can lose weight efficiently and quickly on MF, and have the same odds as you would individually for keeping it off after any diet.

(Playdoh knows that--we are both returning to MF for more success.)

Offering my confident farewell to your last 30 pounds --
Carol.

I'm 49 pounds into a second go round with Medifast. I lost alot of weight the first time around with it but when I got to my goal, I got stupid and went back to my old eating habits. People, you just cannot do this, with Medifast or any other program you are on. Maintaining your weight loss is all about deciding what you want more, the food you use to eat and the way you use to eat it or your new slim trim figure. You cannot resume the old ways or you will regain, trust me. I will always miss the way I use to eat but I am so sick of going up and down my entire life and its just not healthy to do that either.

I've tried for years to restart Medifast and this time, 6 years after the first time, I finally did it. I am close to goal now and I cannot wait to be there! Best program on the market I say!
