Default Introducing Myself

Hi...

I have spent the last day or so reading through these posts. I used to be on this site years ago, when I was last dieting and I found it useful and the people on it supportive. I am looking forward to posting here again.

I have been on Medifast before and had great success (I lost about 60 lbs). I actually got close to my goal weight, but stopped exercising (and went off medifast) and gained my weight back. Then two years ago, I got really sick and over the last two years have gained an additional 120 lbs.

I originally decided to go the diet-to-go route, but after about three weeks could not keep the food down because I could not stand eating vegetables three times a day, and did not like a lot of the food. So I decided to do a combination of medifast and diet-to-go for dinner (which is lean and veggies instead of a salad).

I hate cooking, so the dtg helps me keep from eating fast food, and the medifast is the ready to drink which makes it easy for me to grab and drink when it is time for my meal.

For one week, I was on frozen meals that had a lot of carbs (I thought it was veggies and chicken when I bought it) so I gained. I know that carbs are the route to weight gain and part of my problem was that I was addicted to carbs and was extremely sedentary when I was sick (in bed).

I have no problems with cravings on the medifast plan except that I really wish I could have fruit. It is not difficult to stick to the plan, perhaps because my stomach has shrunk and when I finish the ready to drink I am full. I also drink a lot of water.

I started Medifast about two weeks ago, and started dieting about six weeks ago. I am not sure how much I have lost because I never weighed myself when I started. I know that in the last six months I have lost 23 pounds, and expect to see more rapid weight loss with Medifast.

Anyway, I realize I am just rambling on, so I will sign off for now. Just wanted to get a little of my history out there, and to say hello.
