3 advils, one chicken breast, and a cup of green beans and my headache is GONE. OMG, please tell me this ends soon!!!! I'm having major will power. Today I resisted popcorn (my grade level popped a bag of movie theater pop corn.), I pulled my chair back and watched them all eat it!!! I resisted m&m's in the office....just walked past them. Tomorrow will be the big test, Fat Friday. I hate it, it's sooo much unhealthy food. Tomorrow I'm thinking of not even going into the teacher's lounge.
I apologize for any and all grammar mistakes..... I can't think straight! LOL |
Question re KETOSIS & regaining lbs!
Sincerest congratulations & thanks to all who've lost weight & posted here, inspiring weak sisters such as moi! I've been sampling Medifast puds & bars in the last few weeks, & eating 1000 - 1300 (more or less sensible:D) cals. daily, without committing to the whole MF program. Staying even relatively low carb has always been impossible for me, although the few times I've done it previously, I've lost 10-15 lbs in 3 wks or so, before throwing in the towel & IMMEDIATELY regaining weight:p. I understand that Medifast has a transitional program after you reach your goal weight, but isn't there a big chance that you'll quickly regain much of your lost weight after you start eating a few more carbs?
|
I just started, so take my info with a grain of salt. I think the key is transitioning. They provide advice on how many weeks you should take to transition. At first you start adding additional veggies, then fruits, then dairy, and last whole grains. You are doing this very slowly and with each phase you are slowly stepping off the MF meals. I know that my plan when I transition is to join weight watchers so that I can continue to monitor my eating habits.

Hola, Hope2be
That plan sounds sensible & maybe even doable! My sis-in-law lost almost 200 (!!) lbs on WeightWatchers in the last 2 yrs - she was 302 lbs & is now about 115 & is in her 50's (that's when diets don't seem to work!!) Will soldier on, & possibly try MF fullblown very soon. (PS - I taught jr hi for 6 yrs - the teachers' lounge is where the evil happens!! All those spinsters:) with no one to cook for, bringing in their gooey wares...)

Mavesse: That is so awesome!!! The biggest reason why I didn't go the WW route was because I literally need the structure of MF. I need the "You eat this at this time" kind of routine. Again, as I get closer to transition, I will start going to WW to help "school" me on portions, etc.
I have had NO cravings in the 2.5 days I've been on MF. I've watched my family have ice cream, sat around the lunch table with everyone eating popcorn, walked past the M&M's, and even went to a buffet and walked past everything to the salad and grilled fish. :) |
We need more West Coast chicks here!! LOL I'm still awake and you chickies are all in bed!!!!
I keep thinking about tomorrow and the tables full of horrible FATTY foods. I'm thinking I'll have a shake for lunch and stay in my classroom. I really HATE eating in my classroom, but I can't go into that horrible place of FAT. Here's the kicker, next week I have to bring some of the fatness. Think they'd like a tray of pickles and celery????? LMBO!! Night chickie girls... |
Hi! I'm a West Coast Chick! I'm in CA just North of SF.
I am waiting for my MF order to come and I'm grazing through with some previous MF shakes til the rest comes. I am also attending WW but it just hasn't "clicked" yet and I'm impatient. I've done MF before for a couple of months losing 34# then went off and well, you know the rest of the story. So here I am again. I also plan to use MF as a good quick start and then transition back to WW. Of course MF is so fast, I may just stick with it to goal. It would sure be nice to finally GET to goal this time! :) |
Third Weigh in Results
Hi everyone!
So I weighed myself this morning and I was at 197.6, which means a loss of -2.4!!! Yeah! Definitely not as much as I would like... But I am in the Onederland and I keep my eyes on the prize... So, I have lost 11.4 pounds in 3 weeks... Can't complain... Even though i was hoping for more! :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::cb: |

I had never done this type of diet before and really didn't know if I'd be able to do it. I am just so thrilled that this is working for me! One of my daycare parents brought goodies in this morning and I haven't even been that tempted to eat them. That being said...I am feeding them all to my daycare kids as quickly as possible! Sunday is my weigh in day...I'm hoping for 4 pounds this week. We'll see. :crossed: |
I had already decided that I'm going to use WW for maintenance but y'all have convinced me even more. I loved WW for the flexibility, but I knew I wouldn't lose very fast. When I decided to do something this time, I was looking for something fast and easy. This, in many ways, is both. I don't spend a lot of time planning any meals. With WW, I spent an inordinate of time obsessing about what I was going to eat - which really didn't help.
I'm going to transition right into the Core plan. To me it's an incredibly healthy way of eating and follows right along with the MF transition plan. No weight lost in three days, but it'll come. I'm having Boca Burgers for dinner with turnip greens and cauliflower. Have a super duper weekend everybody (like I won't be on here tomorrow...)! ;) |
Hello girls.
I lost 2 pounds this week. Oh well. I'm going to bed. |
That's great Michelle!! The scale is an odd creature, up, down sometime for no reason. You are doing great and you don't feel well.
Congrats Flo!!! Magnolia, that does sound like a good plan. The scale will budge. This AM my scale gave me 3 different weights, it hasn't done that before. Frustrating! Andie, sunday is my day too and will be the start of my 2nd week. :dizzy: I am so glad you are all here! It's helps sooo much. PS How do you measure your lean meat? I have been using the palm of the hand and thickness of a deck of cards rule. Sometimes I think I have eaten too much doing that and I cut out the 5th MF meal. |
Me again, just found this on the MF site, what do you think??
1 cup Cottage Cheese (I use 1% but you could use non-fat also) 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce (low sugar, low cal) 1/4 cup non-fat or low-fat mozzarella, shredded Italian seasonings to taste (I used a little garlic, basil, oregano, pepper They stick it in the oven and put it over zucchini. |
Popping in to say Hi  Haven't been able to get on to this site for almost a week :( so I just gave up after a while! Will go back and catch up but
sounds like everyone is doing great :carrot: Keep up the good work :D Take care and have a great evening! |
