Can you just omit carbs out your diet and still lose, or is it better to follow a diet plan? Thanks
I don't think there is any way you can totally omit carbs from your diet. Lots of vegetables have carbs. Peas, corn and carrots are actually very high in carbs.
I think you have to become an informed consumer. Go to library or book store and find a book about low-carb way of life. I think alot of people do a 'modified plan' of low carb. I know this is what works for me.
I started out with "The Zone" by Barry Sears and the first book was very complicated. It actually was the second in his series and was more about "mastering the zone". A "Week in the Zone" seemed to be more my speed. I have found a good book by a Canadian couple that explains all the diets and lists their pros and cons, and lets you decide yourself. They don't have a 'real diet' that you follow, more all the guidelines that you need to be successful.
So try a library or a book store. The internet has a ton of stuff too.
Hope this helps you.
