Smile Daily ~ Thursday ~ October 4

Hallo everyone!

I started my day with some nice hot coffee (decaf of course) with cream and scrambled eggs. I have a pair of pant on that did not fit for a long time, size 16!!!!! WOW
They are a bit tight but what the heck! They fit.

I noticed the scale moved 1lbs down, not allot but at least I did not gain that pound. The problem that I had with water retention is gone, now for the last week. Does it usually go away after a wile or will it come back?

I must complete an evaluation report on a tender today, the deadline is tomorrow. Still waiting for the results of the blood tests. Remember the friend that I told you about that joined me on Atkins decided that it is not for her. Te talked to a few people and they advised her not to follow a low carb WOE. They told her she could get kidney failure, headaches, high cholesterol etc.
I told her that what works for one person does not mean it is going to work for all, and I have no problem if she quit, I am going to continue until I get my results from the doctor and do as he advise.

Well, I have to start with that tender………..

Talk to you later

Love ya lots.

Angry

I will not start painting til I post!

hmmm....checking my bags and I don't seem to have any duct tape, but I am loaded with glue, wonder under, embroidery thread and of course the dreaded staple gun...Casey...take your pick!

Hensa! way to go getting into those 16's!!!! hope your dh's birthday was great...and sorry I got so mixed up..I should drink more coffee before I post!

Jennifer (jhp) I will be sending you a pm soon, but I sure do agree with Jenny! (come to think of it...I always agree with Jenny!!!

When is Linda coming home? I sure have enjoyed her posts about her travels! Tippy, glad you are feeling a bit better, I hate that bronchitis stuff!!!

As David Letterman said, The Mets have blown the pennant race (thanks to those darn Braves!) so I guess things are getting back to normal around here! The little guy picked out some cute ghost goodie bags for his class for Halloween...I was going to make these elaborate things what? am I nuts? Don't answer that! The big kid and his school did a "Rock and Read for the Red Cross" Very cool...all the kids in his school dressed in red, white and blue and collected money from friends and family and sat in rocking chairs and read for 15 minutes. It was very cute watching all 27 kids in his class "rock and read" for 15 minutes all at that same time and the whole school collected almost $10,000 for the red cross.

There are rumblings that they may spring Jiff out of the nursing home very soon! Such good news since she is doing really well! Hopefully surgery can be soon!

Painting is going on and on and on! Did run into a bit of a problem yesterday...some woman beat me to buying the last 2 6 foot wooden trees (the ones that you put lights into) Boy! did I have tree envy!!! Did you know that you can not paint and eat at the same time? Food really gums up the texture of the paint...believe me I have tried!!!

Sorry this is such a book...I just wanted to catch up with you all! AND! I am eating lowish carb...hey! how 'bout that!!!!

Have a safe day my fine chickie friends!!!

Love you guys!

Morning Ladies,

Halloween is coming and I have not started costumes for the boys . Darren wants to be a ninga like his neighbor, so I might just buy him a costume, which I hate, but I guess it does not hurt once in a while. We have a new temporary Halloween shop in town and I think we will need to check it out, pronto.

What will your little gobblins be wearing this year?

Hensa congrats on the 16, I am proud of you. Sorry you lost you partner. I am sure you can do it on your own, and besides you have us!

Oh Peachie you are a riot! I love the rock and read idea, sounds like a lot of fun. I can just picture it. Hope you soon find a cure for that tree envy. Please use caution while painting, I know the tension being crafty can bring. Howze our Jif doing?

It was great hearing from Ado Annie yesterday. I do not know how teachers do it. You must have so much on your plate, juggling students and family. Best of luck to ds and his soon to be football champs!

Ruth, howze the little mama doing, do we have a do date?

Wishing all an op day.

jenny

OK, flying inhere to say HI and HOW ARE YA and then I think I might have to be off to the hospital. the baby hasn't come yet but hte docotr said that she may break my SIL's waters today! If that is truly going to happen I have to make an emergency run to my grandma's to drop off Miree, pick up my mom along the way and get to the hospital! Right now anxiously awaiting a phonecall from my brother to tell me all systems are go!

OK, I'm going to throw this out to you--what do you think of the name Macguire as a first name for a girl? My cousin and his wife named their baby girl Macguire Lee. Personally, I think it sounds too boyish. you just know she's going to be called Mac!

Anyhoo, glad to see our Annie back and filling us in and keep updating us Linda--when are you coming home? And howdy do to all our newbies!

Default Good Morning, Everyone!

Wowie! I slept in this morning, had breakfast, walked the Little Mother and then came in here. I guess Hensa (size 16!) is our official "rooster". Congrats, Hensa - it must feel good.

Pooky, let's hope today is the day you get to be an Auntie again. Babies are just such wonderful little creatures - they always astound me.

Dondar, speaking of babies, Hershey is doing fine and rounding out. When she sits in the begging position, she really has a tummy! She is due Oct 31 but will go back to the Kennel the 21st to get used to sleeping in the puppyroom - quite luxurious, by the way!

Peachie - I hope you are not doing a Pooky extravaganza when you paint! Just plain, OK? Please let us know when Jiff gets sprung. Where will she be holing up when she gets out?

Sheesh! After 9 and I have not started my day! Some more harvesting and some office work are on the schedule today - which is gonna be warm and sunny again. I'll take it!

Default Good Morning Chickies!

Good to check on the gang this morning!

I am taking my mom to lunch today for her birthday so I will have to try to get a walk in this afternoon.

Hope everybody has a great low carb day!

God Bless, Cathy

Hi Everyone!

Well, the mornings here are definitely getting cooler and cooler. The moon was the most gorgeous orange last night. And, so big!

Jenny, not to worry, I haven't started a halloween costume yet either. My dd wanted to be Kanga (from Winnie the Pooh) again this year, but the costume is too small. Now she has no idea what she wants to be.

Pooky, do you think that baby is ever going to come!

Hensa, congrats on another pound! That is wonderful! Keep up the good work! Pretty soon those 16's will be too big!

Ruth, how's the harvest going? Will it be done soon?

Peach, good luck with the painting!

My day is not overly dramatic today. I think we will go get some shoes my dd, who keeps growing and growing. Why can't babies just stay babies!

I hope you, and those to come have a super groovy day!
