Pouring rain this a.m. and the Little Mother is still in her bed! Her bladder is much better than mine. Having to pee outside may be influencing her - do dogs do Kegel exercises?

I am off to Kingston for an appointment this a.m. and have to leave shortly. I hate driving in the dark and the rain! However, I do have wipers and lights so I'd better just get over it, right? It's a re-check with my periodontist who is a real early-bird.

After the appointment, I have errands to run in town but also just may work in a stop at Penningtons store and the giant Loblaws supermarket. I sure could use a new top or two and maybe some nice fresh fish for dinner.

Coffee is ready and I'll just leave everything out for you. Maybe a Western omelet this a.m.? MamaJ can cook.

Default Good morning all

Morning ! Just got off my treadmill. I am determined to get up and walk on it 3 days a week, that is a start! My darling children slept all nite..this is a rare occurrence!!

Off to work today...another day of depression, we may have to cut back, keep your fingers crossed that I am not among those cut....I have to cut 3 from my department..it is so hard.

A good friend of ours was let go yesterday over the phone...can you imagine. She was on vacation and called to check in and they laid her off over the phone. Very heartless.

Other than work I have no big plans.....spending as much time as possible with the kids and DH. Take care all. Have a great day.

Ruth have fun at the market.

Mum and Kirei I am thinking of you both!!

It has been pouring here all night, and I haven't slept well. So into the shower, and double on the coffee!

Hi Ruth, get yourself something nice!
Hi Scooby, I'll be thinking of you- not a good time to be laid off!

Hi everyone else-

Morning Ladies,

I am feeling a bit better today. Caught a cold bug that has been around here lately, runny nose, sore throat and plugged ears. Boys just seem to have the sniffles and do not seem as bad as me.

We have a free evening tonight. WOW! I have heard that theatres across the country are offering to donate tonight's proceeds to the disaster fund. Sounds like a good idea, but I am afraid of becoming a target. I am nervous about attending large gatherings, thinking we would become a terrorist target. Very Sad
I know I should not think that way, but as a mother wanting to protect my children, I cannot help having those fears.

Ruth, I finally read my pm, and replied with another attempt at my email address. I am anxious to see those url's!

Have a great op day!

It's a gray day here as welll, with rain coming down off and on. I've got a day full of meetings (I can feel my butt spreading further as I think of it!) including a doozy this afternoon that begins and 4 and ends at 10. Of course, we'll move long enough to put food into our faces.

I'm having a real problem getting back on program. I know it will happen... but it's been tough. I'm not sure why I'm resisting it so.

Well, enjoy the day, ladies. Hope you're not...er... COOPED up like me!

Default I'm baaaaack!

Well, I can tell by all the posts the last few days we've been a busy bunch!

Ruth, I was waving madly from the train on my way to Montreal, did you see me?

Linda! Hope you're having the time of your life! Glad to see those little updates on the goings on in Scotland!

Mum2five, my heart goes out to you. Been there and done that myself and it's nothing to be ashamed of, it happens to the best of us. Just think, as you let this man go, another one more deserving of you is on the horizon!

Happy Belated Birthday cathyxxx! Hope you had fun!

ZAN, nice to see you back! They've all been so good to me whenI have fallen from grace, surely there is more room on the repentant and returning wagon?

Hey scooby, crossing my fingers and toes so nothing goes down that's too terrible for you. Hard decisions to make as to who is to stay and who is to go...

And a big hey how are ya and hugs to Peach, Jiff, Janice, Sue, Jenny, Dottie, Chickadee and I'm sure I forgot someone in this, but waving hi back!!

Montreal was fantastic, so good to see my friend and then she laid a bombshell on me--she got engaged! I am so excited for her! Got to the train station in Toronto and I found the latest issue of Today's Parent and there we are in it! two pictures even! THEN, I got home and my dh had bought me a new corner computer desk, a 17 inch monitor and a new ergonomic keyboard. Isn't he sweet? To top all of that off, I got my fall bulb order from the greenhouse and I can plant away like a silly thing! My oh my, just so much excitement while I was gone, but let me tell you I am happy to be back!

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick check-in. Running late today. Nursing two snotty noses on my little girls. Oh what fun!

Staying OP, no exercise, but going to try REALLY hard this week to get a least one walk in. Been so lazy lately.

Take is easy, ladies. I hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Grand and Glorious day here in the mid-west, A great harvest day, and we are almost done!

Hi to all, glad to be back, it took me so long to just read a couple of threads yesterday that I had no time to reply! lol

Taking my oldest son to playschool today (gosh, you know he is four and time passes so quickly. when I started here it was Feb 29 2000, and Drew was just a little gaffer then, but watch the tears when my baby, Buchanan starts playschool!) he is so excited to go, its just one morning a week, but he was so excited last week he was in the van at 8:30 a full 1 1/2 hours before it starts! And I was looking for him, wondering and calling his name, only to look outside and see him buckled in the seat! Now lets see him be so eager when he is my oldest ones age, 14 and in highschool! lol

Low carb is going great, I am drinking my water, and today I pick up my mini trampoline, which will be great for me.

LOve to say Hi to all, but as usual have to run, and fast!

Suzanne

Keep on working the program girls, it works!

Greetings from Edinburgh. Today it was cold and windy...the wind quite cutting. We took the bus downtown, only about 10 minutes away, with plans of touring Edinburgh Castle but after walking a short way up High Street with the wind freezing our ears, we decided to pay a visit to the Scottish Museum instead. This is an enormous building, the older section quite grand housing natural history exhibits with lots of stuffed animals from all over the world including endangered and extinct species, plus other interesting exhibits. We skipped much of it in order to go into the newer section which encompasses all of Scottish history on several floors with a marvelous view in every direction from the rooftop terrace. What a fabulous city it is simply oozing history on every street and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. I'm learning that four or five hours of being constantly on my feet is more than enough for me and it's not my feet that hurt but my hips, darn it.
Came home and cooked up a chicken stir fry with rice for the working couple. Shelley and I weren't too hungry as we'd stopped at the Museum's tea shop for tea and goodies. I confess I gave in to temptation and had a wonderful Scottish scone with real cream and strawberry preserves. Worth every carb but, needless to say, it put me at the top of my allowed WW points. Once again I'm hoping that the unaccustomed physical activity will counterbalance the extra carbs.
Lisa & Greg have a little 2 bedroom flat up one flight from street level. It's only about 400 sq. ft but they've fixed it up really cute with some of their African treasures. Sainsbury's grocery store is right across the street in a strip mall with several other shops. Sainsbury's has every kind of food you could every wish for including a lot of American brands. Prices here are very high for just about everything though. For our two cups of tea, my scone and Shelley's tart today, I paid over 8 pounds which is over $16.00 Canadian. Luckily, the Museum itself was free.
Ruth, if you want you can copy and share my posts with anybody you want. I can't get into our gardening website because I forgot to bring my password. I'm also unable to get into my Scrabble games which really burns me up. Oh, well, my opponents will just have to forgive me for the delay. Some of them post on our gardening site, Ruth, so you can pass this message along to them, if you don't mind.
That's about all for me today, folks. So nice to be able to keep up with all of you while I'm away. Hope everyone with colds, flu or kidlets with the snotties feels better soon.
