Default Daily, Wednesday Sept. 5th

Just starting us up chickies, going to put a large pot of coffee on today and clean out the cups!

Cups are clean and coffee's on! Am up bright and early this morning as my wee one is awake and is excited to be going back to preschool today! I am so excited myself--a free few hours to myself!? Almost unheard of these days! I might actually get to put some more finishing touches on her bedroom. y neighbour's daughter was sick on the weekend and she just wanted to rest so hopefully this weekend we can get it completely finished--won't that be nice?

Nice to see everyone out in full force and in the competition. Ahhhh, nothing like renewed energy! DH and I are doing well OP but I went out this morning and he had gotten into the Diet Coke over night Looks like a big omelet for him this morning and some coffee down his throat and he'll be as right as rain--and oh yeah, a bottle of water as I escort him out the door!

Have a great day chickies!

I will be out tonight- nothing exciting- I am taking the Defensive Driver safety course, that reduces your insurance- with two cars in NY, I take any discount I can get!

So I'll check in on Thrusday- have a great "hump day" chicklets...

Good day ladies,

Boy it feels good be be back home at 3fc. Thanks for all the welcomes. Guess what after all this time I finally have home access, so I will be able to stop in on the weekends. I am excited about the halloween challenge, I need a little competition to boost my dedication.

Sue, so sorry about your job and your gentleman friend. I am sure that things will work out for the best for you.

Pooky, how lucky for you to have dh joining you, that should really help a lot.

Peachie, hope your dear sis is doing well, I am thinking of you both and trying to figure out a way for my company to send me to NJ for a while, our headquarters is in Peapack.

Anyone heard from Phyllis or Adoannie lately?

Staying op and drinking water!

Default G'Mornin'

Hi, everyone

DS started his new middle school today. After two years in a private school that he decided last spring he hated, he begged me to go back to public school. My only reservation (besides the potential “It’s OK to quit” message I’d be sending) was that the schools in this city at that level are notoriously bad. I was able to get him into a new one (three years old) that holds a lot of promise. Took him there this morning, and it was like a whole new beginning on so many levels. I really hope this is what he needs. We hung around the cafeteria for a while with the other new kids, until he said “I want you to leave now.” I said “Consider yourself hugged and kissed and slobbered over.” (He’d have been mortified if I’d actually DONE those things!)

Sue – so sorry about your job. Jennifer is right, though – this is the time to really watch what you eat. You need your energy now more than ever. See what your company will offer you in the way of severance – know that you can negotiate. It’s hard, but try to see this as an opportunity. I've known some nurses who got retraining in a specialty when something like this happened.

Pooky – great idea low carbing with the dh; It’ll be great to have a partner in crime, so to speak. Try not to compare your results, though. Mother Nature had different plans for you two, and his weight may come off faster at first.

Dottie – good luck on that Mayo, but be careful. I posted yesterday about a few “debunking” sites, but really try to listen to your body. I get nervous when I hear about eating as much as you want per meal, then nothing in-between. That could be hours and hours on my schedule.

Hi to Rachel, Jenny and all the others yet to post.

Still off/p over here -- did not go food shopping last night as promised, as I had too many back-to-back things going on after work. Gonna try to get through today without too much damage, then restock the cupboards tonight. I am looking forward to having more healthy choices in the house. I have had a dull headache since the weekend, and I’m sure it’s because I’m not eating well … too many carbs. Send your op energy my way, chicks!

Have a good day …

Barb

Good Morning!

Nothing much going on over here. Busy day at the office but what else is new? I don't think I mentioned this, but I'm doing an extreme l/c plan called Stillman's in order to get these last 25 lbs off. It's l/c, low calorie & low fat. I started Monday & will try to do it M-F and Atkins on weekends. You can eat lean meat, eggs, fat free cottage cheese, farmer's cheese, pot cheese & that's about it.

Pooky - Good luck to DH. My DH follows this woe also & he cheats a lot but has lost 53 lbs since 6/00 so I'm really proud of him.
bes - Hope the new school works out for your son
Peach - Enjoy your pampering. Got my hair highlighted & chopped this weekend & I feel so much better.
Ruth - Hope you test went OK

Hi to Scooby2, dottie, Jenny & all to come.

Have a great day!

Jennifer

Default I'm In Monitor Burn-out!

I know I posted this a.m. but it sure isn't here now. Is it possible I deleted my own post? LOL! I am just so hopeless!! Anyhow, it was long-winded.

Re the test - well, the right ovary that was removed in 1959 is there! This accounts for my great weight gain because we all know that an ovary weighs 70 pounds. A medical miracle! There are more tests in my future but I'm no gonna fret over this. Life is too short to waste time on that junk.

First piano lesson since June this a.m. - I seem to have regressed! Good thing my teacher is patient. (She is also a good friend and Hershey's original mother.)

Haircut this afternoon in Brockville. This will be another day when I spend 2+ hours driving. After the cut, I'm going to wander the shopping centre and look at fall stuff. I have that urge for something new - besides white gym socks!

I made a list of garden tasks over coffee this a.m. I have hidden it so DH doesn't panic! Will just do one thing at a time.

CAtch you later - gotta run.

Today is my 37th wedding anniversary. Got up at 3 am to see DH off on a trip. He'll be working about 5 hours north of here for the next few days. I'm afraid at that hour neither one of us was thinking "happy anniversary" thoughts. So, tonight I'm joining a widow friend for dinner. She's grilling the chicken and cooking the corn on the cob and I'm bringing the salad and dessert. I made a light version of peach cobbler (sorry low carbers, this isn't for you. It's even a whopping 4 WW points so I'm having to be very careful with my points today).
Ruth, how can an ovary that was removed 40 years ago suddenly reappear? I'd sue.
Well, I have to go and do my grocery shopping. Running out of legal snacks here and we can't have that.

Hi girls. I am doing better today, I am in shock a bit still, I can not believe it is cosing but I have made effort to get my employees reemployed ASAP and my clients to transfer over to them. I need to do 8 visits on them for the next 30 days and they can become full CHHA's. or the last few weeks will be for nothing. I have been beefing up my resume, and it is looking good. Thanks Peach I might just show up next to Jiff, would that be a nice suprise. thanks all fhr the encouragement. I am sure that there is something out there but I would love to ahve a nice desk job and lots of money My dream job!!!!

Linda the peach ......uh .... stuff sonds great. I am sorry that your anniversary is seperated. that is such a great time 37 years!!

Ruth what a woman how many overaies do you have???? I knew those little buggers weighed a ton but seriously let us know what the new tests show.

Jennifer where did you find Stillmans plan? it sounds interesting but very strict.

Peach what color are you going??? and my kids are off today too. but i drove then so i could talk to their teachers.

Bes what kind of retrainig did those nurses get??? I would love to do that but need income to subsidise myself. I can not keep the house over my head if I do not.

Jennie Annie poped in the other day, I can not remember if Phyllis has been around I think not. We are sure glad you are back.

Scooby some things that kept my kids up were suprising lack of sleep at nap time, and the biggie was eating late, I found that i had to feed them right away when they got home or soon after because if they ate late they would not go to sleep till really late.

Pooky way to go on staying OP!!! and boy we can not wait till the roon is done i want to see the results.
