Hope I can shed a little light on the subject...ketosis is your body's natural chemical reaction to the absence of carbs in your diet. As much as you have blood tests to find out what your blood sugar is if you're diabetic, the ketosis strips you can buy at a pharmacy will tell you if your body is in this state. LC is by definition-low (not NONE) carbohydrate. Your body uses the excess body fat for energy and that is how you lose weight. Instead of eating it (cakes, cookies, rice, potatoes etc...) you are losing the weight. The way you get out of ketosis is when you have too many carbs in your system which that means you've been eating way too much of the good stuff! Your body will continually be in ketosis if you watch what you're eating by stay on program and drinking as much water as humanly possibly. By flushing out your system with water you are continually relieveing yourself of body toxins and excess fat.
