Starting us up. Back in a bit.

************************************************** **

Another gorgeous day! Sunny and coolm enough that I can do some garden tidying without dripping! Fall is in the air.

Did not eat enough yesterday - especially veggies. I worked a Bingo 4-7 and DH cooked. Liver and onions without any veggies! Had a bit of pasta with it and drank wine (my fruit?). So strange to wake up hungry this morning.

Today is More Pickles Day - pickles are my life! Am getting to the stage where I want to just grind everything up, throw in vinegar, boil it and call it End of Season Relish! I can keep up with our own produce but my neighbour keeps giving me veggies as a thanks for using our water. I will probably appreciate this more in January.

Tonight I drive to Syracuse to pick up Hershey. She and Simon have spent a wonderful three days together. The vet tells me Hershey is a "real little flirt". We flew her from Philly to Syracuse to beat the holiday weekend crush - dogs do get lost on busy weekends. Ottawa is half the distance but could not book her in. Guess I'll be pretty tired Friday as the flight does not get in until 11. The joys of doggie ownership.

Catch you later - scrambled eggs are calling me.

Good Morning Ruth and all those to come!

Just so you all know about my cutie chicken purse--it's my daughter's and it was given to her by my father-in-law sent especially from Korea. Let's just say the chicken purse is well traveled! I would also like to point out that it is a stealth chicken purse--it looks cute and cuddly, but can be retrofitted for iron beaks and steel talons at a moments notice!

As for my daughter's bedroom--no it isn't finished yet but I am taking a "brain break" from any activities and commitments this week. This summer has been a very busy one and I am tired. I guess we all need a retreat sometimes, right?

Plan is going well, I am taking down more water and flushing out the system. I have had more servings of vegetables in the last two days than I think I have ever eaten! My neighbour has these beautiful cucumbers and I have been the recipient of them. My daughter loves them too--can you believe that she can eat a whole cucumber at one sitting? She's only 2!!

Anyways, relaxing again today, of course the mandatory few loads of laudry but not much on the agenda. Have a great day everyone!

dottie

Default Good morning!

We're still raining in Houston! It feels a bit warmer this morning than the past few days but still a welcome break from the heat of the summer.

Ruth~~I know that you are glad to have Hershey coming back home! She'll probably run you silly when she gets back to her meadow!

Pookey~~Yes, a brain break sounds great! I'm feeling some mental fatigue today! Looking forward to pictures of your completed project!

Dottie~~WTG on your 2# loss! I have to admit, I'm hooked on Splenda! I don't use much in the way of sweeteners, but that stuff is great!

It's taken me about 20 minutes to post this with office interruptions, so if I've missed someone.....

Doing a bit of fly lady stuff, laundry and bill paying today. Feeling a bit blue and not into much more! But life is good and this too shall pass.

Peach~hugs to you and Jif!

Where's Jenny and Ynaught hiding? Phyllis, you out there? Annie, you surviving those 30 munchkins?

Have a great day all!

I really wanted to post yesterday, and I swear the computer just wouldn't let me!! I tried honost!!
I'm still confused about this two daileys and the wagon thing, can I just ignore all that??
I have made it to Curves everyday this week. I know that doesn't sound like much, but just walking in there all alone was a HUGE accomplishment for me!! Let alone the going back!! I love going, at least once I'm there! I like the people alot!
Starting to make some friends around the new neighborhood!! Yesterday one of the moms at my little ones preschool invited me to lunch at her house on Friday!! And one of the ladies from Curves invited me to lunch with some of her friends today (couldn't make it )
I think in the last week I have almost finished of an entire bag of Nestle Butterscotch baking chips!! Small bag at least!! I couldn't get them in Nova Scotia and was dying for them!!! I won't buy them again!!!!
Have a lovely one ladies....
