LCFS Week of Oct 17th

Hi,

It's cools off at night, the temps get into the 50's, but it warms up nicely to the low 80's. DH & I went out for breakfast this morning, I was wearing jeans and along sleeve shirt, DH was in shorts and a T/shirt. He just kept looking at me and shaking his head.

Anne, glad to hear from you. Maybe if enough people start complaining about  she will not last very long. It must be very hard for you to go into work each day with someone like that for a boss. Are you writing all the harassments like Nikki suggested? If so, that will help too. People are putting up their Halloween decorations here too, but to me they look out of place. Halloween to me is very cold temps, not summery weather. But, I suppose by next year this will seem like fall to me too. ;) You speaking of Christmas decorations, DH & I went to the grocery store this morning and they had Christmas wrapping paper out already.

Hey Nikki & lynn, hope your having a good Sunday.

Aleka

nikkic 10-17-2004 04:31 PM

Good afternoon,
It's a beautiful fall day here, cool, but sunny and a light wind. The trees have all changed into the height of their glory. I have done very little today, but I did do WATP 1 mile walk. It was kind of hard to finish, I'm really out of shape. But, I finished it and I felt great when I was done. It really is fast, isn't it?
I'm going to the Dr tomorrow and have a physical. I keep having extreme bleeding with my periods and it is just getting worse. I hate going to the Dr, but suppose I can't put this off any more. I am getting the dreaded mammogram too. :o
Anne, I had a boss like that once. They didn't fire her, but moved her up in management. That is the way the government, especially the VA, works here. They never seem to fire anyone, no matter how bad they are. They just get a better job. If  does get the boot, it may end up being a good thing for her too.
Aleka, your weather sounds great. I would be wearing the same things. At least, it's good to be prepared.
I have to run and take DD to work, have a good Sunday, Nikki

aleka 10-17-2004 05:10 PM

Nikki, good luck to you tomorrow. :goodluck: Do you have fibroids? That could be the cause of your heavy bleeding. Also, perimenopause too.

Aleka

nikkic 10-17-2004 09:55 PM

Aleka, about 10 years ago a Dr told me I had fibroids. I suppose it's a combo of that and entering menopause. I'll let you know how it goes, I'm not looking forward to this visit. Nikki

aleka 10-18-2004 06:48 AM

Good morning,

Today is the day I'm starting over. I've decided to start walking again and I'm going to start doing WW Core program. I've had enough of gaining weight.

Nikki, congratulations on finishing the WATP 1 mile tape. :high: That is a great start. I had been diagnosed with fibroids many years before I had a hysterectomy. From what I've been reading lately there are so many options for treatment now than when I had surgery. Again, good luck today. :lucky:

Anne, you probably aren't too thrilled about going into work this morning. I will be thinking about you and hope you have a good day.

lynn, how was the auction on Sat.? Has Mya gotten over Morgan being gone?

I'm off for my walk in a little bit. It's still dark here, it doesn't get light until around 7:00 am.

Have a great Monday everyone.
Aleka

nikkic 10-18-2004 07:03 AM

Good morning,
Aleka, I was thinking about the different treatments available and I think I'm more worried that they would put me on some kind of hormone therapy than do surgery. Guess we'll see what she says.
I decided to start my day off with Body Flex again and then do the WATP afterward. That way, I'm getting a good stretch before hand.
Aleka, good luck on the new programs :D That sounds very sensible and something that you can do for the rest of your life. I will be starting on flex after Friday. I should be getting all my ebay things and plan on joining on line in a few days. Are you going to meetings or will you be doing it at home on your own? I am also really tired of gaining weight and so is DH. Last night, he asked me when are we going to start paying better attention to what we eat? We had pork tenderloin sandwiches (battered and fried) and seasoned french fries. I know, it's like the worst thing you can possibly eat  He had indigestion all night, so I suppose that is the last time I will be making that anyway, no matter what diet I'm following.
Hi Anne, keep your chin up. :)
Lynn, good morning, hope your having a good day!
Well, better go see Greer, got to be at the Drs by 9, Nikki

ANNE D 10-18-2004 09:00 AM

Good Morning Everyone:
Nikki, when I first started having bleeding from **** some years ago the
doctor told me it was fairly typical at "my age" I used to be terrified the bleeding and clots would be so bright and so bad. The light at the end of
the tunnel is this.....Mine are now very light. I can't beleive these are
my cycles!!!!
Aleka, you are right! I am not thrilled to be here today  At least I
haven't encountered the beast  yet this morning.......

Guess what!! when my husband was walking me to the bus at 5:40 am we
saw a skunk :fr: We often run into racoons but there has been skunks around
lately too!! Our weather is so cold today I am hoping the critters take note
and prepare to go into hibernations
Talkl to you all later.
Anne.

alynn 10-18-2004 09:33 AM

Goodmorning All: I am having trouble posting so will keep this short. I tried to post 2x yesterday and 1x this morning so will post this to let you know I am here and reading posts even if I am not posting. I will try again but this is it I am so frustrated.

alynn 10-18-2004 10:19 AM

Well I hope this goes though. Yes Anne it is very cold damp and dull here today. The dog is the smart one, she went out and did what she had to and went back to bed. Funny you mentioned the skunks, last week we went to To. on Airport rd. and must have seen 8 or 9 dead ones on the side of road. This must be their stupid time. I am very pleased about the ban on pit bulls. For you other ladies Ontario has banned owning, selling importing or breeding of pit bulls in the province. If you have one you can keep it but it must be muzzled in public. I think the ban should have included a few more breeds. Nikki hope your Dr.'s appointment goes ok. I'm with Aleka sounds like fibroids and remember all to clearly the **** of a period. It's been 3 years now and I wish I had had the surgury years before. I LOVE hormones they keep me sane. I tried cutting back when Aleka was talking about it and it was ****. My blood pressure is now all out of wack and when I had a vision of shotting DH I know it wasn't working. He is still alive and I am back to taking them daily. My membership tp Curves doesn't kick in until Nov.1 so am doing the WATP 2 mile for abs, it is my favorite. Went to another auction yesterday and got a head start on xmas. This one was differant than others in that everything was newstock from bankruptcies going out of business itc. Anyway you bid and when the biding was over they would annouce how many they had and you put your card up and got the product at that price even if you didn't bid on it. I picked up a toy I had priced at $129.95 in Toys R Us for $25. A air pop corn maker that looks like a old fashion theatre popper that was $89. in Den for Men for $20 for DD's party room and another toy that is $29.95 in the stores for $7. A knife that was $59 in the knife store in the mall for $7, I couldn't beleive my luck. I will go to the next one and get there early enough to check out the stock better. Xmas could be cheap this year. Well so far so good must get on with my day and it looks like I am going to be able to post this post

alynn 10-18-2004 12:52 PM

Back again!!! These are two great sites for WW . The first 1 www.stompc.com/journal/wwrecipes This site lists 14 good sites plus scroll down for more. The second site www.angelfire.com/journal/wwrecipes has 1100 recipes with points.

nikkic 10-18-2004 02:09 PM

Hi again,
The NP scheduled me for an ultrasound in the morning. I've had those before and I can never seem to get my bladder full enough to suit those people.
This bleeding has been getting worse all the time. I have to use tampax and pads and change them every 1/2 hour. Then at night, if I sleep a few hours, I have to hold a towel (with a pad and tampax) between my legs when I go to the bathroom or else I bleed all over the place. It goes on like that for 4 days, then I continue to bleed like a regular period for 3 weeks. My hair is falling out rapidly and I read that when you bleed excessively, your hair stops growing, so I'm getting thinner every day. It has always been fine and thin, it's just getting worse.

Lynn, I tried the first site and can't find it, maybe you mistyped the address? I did go to the second site and was thrilled to see so many recipes, thank you for passing it on

I got most of my WW stuff I ordered from ebay today. I suppose I will be starting in a couple of days now. We have eaten most of the bad stuff up. I still have diet food from before that I can use the rest of the week before I get groceries. I have gained 7 lbs since I quit low carbing. Even if I wasn't losing with that, I sure wasn't gaining like I am now.
Nikki

alynn 10-18-2004 02:57 PM

Sorry Nikki :o :o I screwed up the whole address, here I go again www.stormpc.com/ww/ You talking about your period brought back MANY bad memories. I found a disposible underwear in the tampax isle that stopped the leaks so you could get to bathroom without towel. I also set an alarm clock for every 1 1/2 hours. I would think your fibroids are so many and so large that the ultra sound won't show anything. Hope you are getting frequent blood work because you must be enemic by now.

aleka 10-18-2004 02:58 PM

Nikki, I've had those ultra sounds too where my bladder had to be full. Just before I had surgery, the surgeons office wanted me to have another ultrasound. When I left the office, the girl at the desk told me to have a full bladder. When I got to my appt. I found out I was to have an empty bladder. :censored: :censored: I had been holding on to it for so long that I couldn't empty it out completely, so I had to schedule another appt.  Did you have the ultra sound already or is it scheduled for some other morning? Glad that you got your WW material so soon.

Anne, what a terrible thing to discover when you went to the bus stop this morning. :snooty: When we lived in NH the only time we'd see a skunk was during warmer weather. I would say it should be almost time for the animals to go into hibernation.

lynn, thank you for posting those websites. I clicked onto the first one, and like Nikki couldn't get the page to come up. I'm almost tempted to go back on the hormones, but I think I will tough it out. I'm not sleeping very well, I keep getting hot, then cold. Sometimes just get chills without the hot flashes. I can tell I'm getting crankier than usual. I had been on them 11 yrs. Now that you're back on hormones has your blood pressure gone down? What dosage are you taking for your hormones? When I stopped taking them I was on .3mg, which is the lowest dose.

Aleka

nikkic 10-18-2004 04:06 PM

Here I am again, waiting to take DD to work. The ultrasound is in the morning at 8am. I think I might be enemic and she did do lab work today, so should know by next week. (Why it takes so long is beyond me). I don't know why, I never did think of those pads for when your incontinent of urine. That would be much better. I was thinking about adult diapers, and that is just insane to have to use something like that for bleeding. I hope I can get something done soon.

Anne, we have skunks all the time around here. I would think in the city, they would have to be a real rare sight. I wonder if they are rabid? One thing about them, they have no clue about traffic, so they will not live long in the city. We have dead ones by the road alot. Raccoons don't seem to understand what cars are either.

DH is now up, so better go spend some time with him, Nikki

alynn 10-18-2004 04:22 PM

Hi Again: I have spent the day on the computer except for a walk in the park with dog and a little house work and prepping dinner. Nikki, couldn't some of your weight gain be fluid to feed the fibroids. Am I making sense? You have to be enemic. Now I have been playing on WW sites to figure out the core plan. I understand the plan except for when they say you have to count bread or something how much are you allowed and what do you count and were do I go to find out how to count. I have the WW stuff from DD except for the new stuff. Good luck tomorrow Nikki

aleka 10-18-2004 05:10 PM

lynn, sent you a PM

Aleka

aleka 10-19-2004 06:18 AM

Good morning,

Nikki, good luck to you this morning with your ultrasound and hope you're not too uncomfortable on your ride over. That full bladder is the worst part.

It seems like there are an awful lot of dead Armadillos (sp?) on the side of the road down here. Like raccoons, they don't seem to understand what cars are either. ;)

Hope you all have a good day.
Aleka

nikkic 10-19-2004 10:53 AM

Sending you all a PM, Nikki

aleka 10-20-2004 06:47 AM

Good morning,

DH has an appt. this morning with his truck. A few days ago he got a recall notice about his tailgate. Apparantly they're having trouble with the tailgate because they have a tendency to fall off with a certain amount of pressure. So, he's got to have something replaced.

Nikki, how are you doing today? Today is Wed., one day closer. Hope you're feeling better. You haven't left my thoughts or prayers.

lynn, did you get the food for Core? It does seem like an easy plan to follow. The hardest part for me is paying attention as to how satisfied I feel when eating. I practically have to teach myself how to eat again. I used to just shovel it it! Last night for supper we had grilled cheeseburgers in lettuce leaves, veggies, & mashed potatoes. I've missed mashed potatoes. I left quite a lot of the potato on my plate because I discovered I was satisfied, where other times I'd just eat the whole serving. Will you be doing this fat free like WW wants you to? I will probably do the fat free cheeses and sour cream, but I don't think I'll do the fat-free salad dressings, as there is just too much added sugar in them. I will do low fat or Paul Newman's Oil & Vinegar and count the points.

Anne, how is working going so far this week? Have their been any new developments with  as to her being called to task by the higher ups?

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Aleka

alynn 10-20-2004 07:54 AM

Goodmorning All: I am going to go low fat like WW. I found a fat free mayo yesterday and will use that as a base for some dressings and I will use EVOO and vinegars and flavors for others. Yes I was able to get a complete list when I told DD about it she got excited and thinks she will join to get the stuff. I knew if I put the bug in her ear she would jump at it. She is always losing and gaining the same 10 lbs. I have company for lunch today so must fly but will be back later. Thinking of you Nikki

nikkic 10-20-2004 08:00 AM

Good morning,
It's a new day and I feel better. I appreciate the prayers. I was just reading a morning message from Dr. Weil and he was talking about the power of prayer and how it's been proven that it helps people. I believe it does.
DH called from work a number of times last night, he finally figured out I was upset about the testing. I didn't explain all of it to him, I guess I thought he was at work and it wouldn't be a good time to go into a lot of detail.

I have a question about how to figure points for recipes. I have a recipe for a chicken dish that I got from Flylady the other day. It came from a book called Saving Dinner. All of the recipes in this book have the fat, calories, fiber, etc figured out at the bottom of the recipe. I used my calculator and first figured out how many points it would be by looking up the ingredients in the food companion book and dividing by the number of servings in the recipe, I got 5.6666 points (I even accidentally left out points for the apples). I then used the numbers for the calories, fat, etc at the bottom of the recipe and came up with 3 points. So, which one is the one to go by? I was hoping they would be closer, because it would be so much easier to figure points if all I have to do is go by the recipe equivalents rather than look up each individual ingredient. Is this common or is the recipe figures off?

Hey, I found out yesterday that McDonalds has great coffee. I never got their coffee before. It's very rich and filling. I think I am now addicted to it and will have to sneak over there to get a fix on a regular basis.

I got the plastic up on the garage windows last night. I still need to get it up on the house, hopefully this weekend I can get it done.

Better get a shower and get my day going, take care, Nikki

aleka 10-20-2004 09:06 AM

Nikki, glad that you're feeling better today. That is a good question about how to count points. I've always counted points by the recipe rather than by the ingredients. Sometimes a different brand of food that isn't listed in the book may have a different point value because of the calorie, fat, & fiber content. Sometimes if you calculate the points for a certain food, say cereal for example, then look it up in the book, sometimes the points may differ. Our leader explain in that case, go by what you have calculated with your points finder. Have I confused you?? :?:

Aleka

nikkic 10-20-2004 10:31 AM

Thanks Aleka, I think I understand. Your saying that I should just take the fiber, fat, & calories from the recipe as they have them calculated and figure my points with that, right? That makes sense about brands being different, since the same brand can have different ingredients in different parts of the country.
I like that recipe much better if it's 3 points and not 6 ;)
Nikki

aleka 10-20-2004 11:17 AM

Nikki, Yep, just figure the calories, fat, & fiber listed in a recipe and you're all set. I too like 3 points instead of 6 ;)

Aleka

alynn 10-20-2004 12:35 PM

Well I'm back again. It is 12:30 my time and my friends are due at 1. I have everything done, even the table laid. I am having broccoli & cheese soup with a type of reuben sandwich. Not low carb or core in fact not good at all. I will have half a sand on rye with soup. Made brownies for dessert but that won't tempt me at all. Soup is legal without cheese. Glad you are feeling better Nikki. Opps just heard a car door, my friends are early back later

nikkic 10-20-2004 12:49 PM

I figure if I start now, I should make it to your house for a late lunch (around 3 or 4am), Lynn. I would eat the brownies myself, I love brownies.
Well, I'm having rice a roni for lunch, it's a San Fransico treat, you know
Have a good time and enjoy!
Nikki

ANNE D 10-20-2004 05:41 PM

Hello Friends:
Work is the same ol pain in the backside  There was a meeting in Finance
today and  told the rest of my co-workers that Tanyas position would
be replaced by Farida. This is a young girl who works across the road in
Finance 1/2 days. They have made her position a full time one. She will
be 1/2 days with me and 1/2 days across in Finance. I immediately sent  an email saying I need to have my position re-evaluated. Lets
see what she says. Farida will be coming over starting Nov 9 at 12 noon. I
take my lunch from 12-1, she takes hers from 1-2, we will only be together
from 2-3 which is when I leave. She will stay until 4:30. I really am annoyed.
The job was never posted. A very good friend of mine who is trained as
my back-up never even got the chance to apply. It makes me sick :p All I
know is I am doing the bulk of a 2 person job and I am not going to take this
sitting back :nono: .

Nikki, I am glad you are feeling better today. I thought about you throughout
the day at work.

Today is my twins birthdays. They are 15 so I am eating pizza and birthday
cake. What can you do!!!

Hi Lynn, the weather is stinko eh?

Anne.

aleka 10-21-2004 07:07 AM

Hi everybody,

It was another hot day yesterday, temps in the 80's. But, it didn't seem as humid as it was on Monday.

Anne, good for you for standing up for yourself with  :high: That wasn't right not letting your friend who was trained as backup for you not to get a chance to apply. Does Farida know anything about the duties of your office? If not, who will be training her? Keep us posted. A belated Happy Birthday to your twins. :hb:

Nikki, I went into the WW site yesterday and one of the posts, someone asked just about the same question you did yesterday, only I think she was making something from scratch. You may have to search a couple of pages for it. It's called "Which is more accurate". Maybe that could help you too. Click onto their topic of Questions of Points (R) Allowance" (or something like that). I will be thinking of you today, hope you hear something.

lynn, how was your lunch yesterday? It sounded yummy!!! Hope you had a good time. How come foods taste so much better when they're not legal?? :D

Well...gotta get going for my walk. I hear the birds singing. Oh ya, speaking of birds. I saw a Hawk yesterday afternoon in the lot in back of me. I was hoping he wasn't looking for his meal near my yard. We have some cute rabbits who come into the yard and eat something in the grass. Then the garbage truck came through and I think it scared it because he/she flew away. After a while the birds came back to our feeder.

Have a great day everyone.
Aleka

nikkic 10-21-2004 08:43 AM

Good morning,
I have an appointment on Tues to talk to the Dr about my tests (it was made after my last appointment), but since she should have the tests today, I am going to call her and ask to have the results today. If I had to wait till Tues, I think I'd go nuts.
Aleka, we had a red tailed hawk sitting on our front porch last week. I put up some bird feeders in the yard and our yard is covered with birds this year. I guess the hawk decided it was a good place to hunt for sparrows. Then yesterday, I was hanging one of the feeders and there, under the bushes, close to the feeder was Tony, the cat. I guess he thinks I've invented a new way for him to hunt too  I am planning on moving the feeders away from there today. It was kind of funny the other day, he came up to me and meowed and a bunch of feathers flew out of his mouth.
DH says that the lower tears of Iowa county farmers are getting a bounty together for mountain lions. I never in my life have seen mountain lions in Iowa before the last few years, but south of here, they are being spotted fairly regularly. The DNR doesn't want them destroyed (of course), but people are seeing them coming really close to their houses and are getting scared. I would be too, although, I do feel sorry for the cats. They are being crowded out of their natural environment by people.
Anne, Happy Birthday to the twins! The cake is a requirement, isn't it?
That's rotten about the job not being posted. Sounds like  might have hand picked who she wanted. At the VA, when something like that has happened, I've seen people get lawyers and sue to have a chance to get the job. Well, we are sue happy down here, it seems. But, sometimes, you do have to stand up for yourself. I am really glad to hear your doing that with  Good luck :)
Aleka, I'll have to look that up later. Wow, they really post on that site, it moves fast and furious
Morning Lynn
Have to take DD to the grocery store, so better get a shower, take care, Nikki

alynn 10-21-2004 11:54 AM

Morning All for the second time  Yep was sitting reading what I had just typed heard a click and and puff went my message tried to find it in history but the page came up with no message. To say I am pi---d is an understatement. Had a great day yesterday. My friends were here for dinner too. When I realized how much we were doing in the afternonn I put a roast in the slow cooker and off we went.Their closing on the house as been delayed for 3 weeks so they are renting a cottage from our son's best friend, actually they are paying the utilities so that is quite a deal.I have all the core stuff here and started today.Later I am going to check out sites for recipes. One site says it is similiar to South Beach so will check them out as well. Also said Curves is similar, I didn't know they had a diet will check them out. Anne, you go girl. Your work place enviroment is so bad what do you have to loose? We teach people how to treat us so we can't let people run over us. Well of I go to have a shower and start my day. I mean it is 11:45 my time . Later

nikkic 10-21-2004 12:03 PM

Lynn,
I have the book from Curves, I bought it at Walmart a year ago. I remember thinking the diet looked like a well balanced, easy to do kind of thing. They say to have a protein drink once a day, they call it a shake and talk about how delicious it is. Of course, you can use any kind of protein powder, but to get the one that tastes like a milk shake, they say you have to use their protein powder. I (being a big sucker), bought the protein powder from my local Curves and used it once. It wasn't any better than any other protein powder and I thought it was even worse than some. The milk shake wasn't that great either, sure couldn't pass for a real milk shake. If I was going to follow their diet, I would do away with that protein drink and replace it with some real food. Other than that, I think their diet is pretty good. Anyway, that's the way I remember it, Nikki

nikkic 10-22-2004 07:45 AM

Good morning,
No news yet. I had to take DD to the store yesterday and when I went back to get her, my battery went dead while I was waiting for her. Luckily, my youngest DD was home and came and picked us up. Later, when DH was awake, we went to jump the car and then, the battery had recharged and it turned over. In the meantime, I wasn't sure if I'd missed the Drs call or not, so I called over to the clinic to ask them to have her call me. They said she wasn't in today and wasn't going to be in until next week. I asked if there was another Dr that could give me the results of the test and they said they would have the Dr on call call me. That never happened. So, maybe she'll call today. I have got to get groceries (it's like old mother Hubbards in my kitchen), so I suppose she'll call while I'm at the store.
I have the worst head cold. I don't feel like exercising, cooking or eating. I am really sick when I dont feel like eating.
Will write later if I have any news, take care, Nikki

aleka 10-22-2004 09:04 AM

Good morning,

Nikki, sorry about the battery in your car. Does this mean you'll have to get a new battery? Maybe you can call the clinic again when you get home from the grocery store. Where did you pick up that awful head cold? Hope you're feeling better soon.

lynn, I've also heard that Core is somewhat like SB diet. The only difference I can see is that SB diet is more low fat where Core is fat-free. I really do like this WOE. I use low fat cheese rather than fat-free. I made those chips on SSizing, out of low fat cheese the other day and they didn't turn out too bad. When done they're not the same consistancy as regular cheese, but they taste pretty darn good. I'm thinking of trying it with fat-free cheese, hoping it won't disintergrate (sp?)

Anne, how are things going at work?

Have a great day everyone.
Aleka

alynn 10-22-2004 09:52 AM

Goodmorning All: I find this is the best idea for a diet so far. Except for the FF part it is what we have done on low carb anyway. I am still looking for my WW stuff, I think I left it at the trailer. I will get DD's next week until than am sticking to the guide lines. DD and I are off to our son's to paint this week. Our grand-son and daughter-in-law are off to the States to visit family so this is a good time to do it. The house is 2 years old and still has just the builders paint which we know is crap. It will probabley take all week as we want to get the interior done and it is a 4 bedroom 2 storey so it will be a challenge. Yesterday we cleaned the outside furniture and put everything away, it looks so empty on the deck. The leaves are falling quite rapidly now so winter is just around the cornor. Everyone have a great weekend. I will keep touch on DS's computer

aleka 10-22-2004 04:31 PM

Was lurking on the WW boards and saw this site. Went into it and it looks kinda interesting. www.barbosdietkitchen.com When the page comes up click on Enter. When that page comes up scroll down and clock Recipe Archive. There are quite a lot of WW recipes for both points & Core.

Hi,
Aleka, I'll have to check that site out.
The Drs office called this afternoon, very close to closing time, and said that my Dr is out of the office, so they want me to wait until Monday so I can speak to her about the results. This makes me think either 1)the other Dr just doesn't want to take the time to talk to me, because the results are normal or 2)the results are not that good and I'll need to follow through with further treatments. DH wanted me to call back and demand to know, but I didn't. Right now, I guess I don't want to know till I have to know.
Well, that's it from here, I'll talk to you all tomorrow or the next day, Nikki

Nikki, maybe that Dr didn't want to give you the results because your Dr has instructed him/her not to do so. You know how office politics are sometimes. I know this gives you 2 more days of concern and it just isn't right.

lynn, hope you and your DD are having a good time painting your DS house and enjoying your visit. I bought some fat-free cheese and made those chips :p :p I think the low fat cheese comes out better. Someone posted a recipe in the Core forum about making your own potato chips in the microwave. You may have to search for it. I've made them many years ago, you can add your own spices to them and they really are quite good.

Anne, it's the weekend and you have a couple days to relax. Hope the last few days have gone well for you. Has your weather improved any?

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Good morning,
Yes, office politics can really screw things up. I decided to be patient and just wait.
It's a beautiful day and it's warmed up some too. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. I have to finish my grocery shopping today. I can't seem to do it all in one day, because my ankle just won't go that far anymore.
My head cold is getting better and that's a relief. DD gave me a mask for Christmas last year that I had forgotten that I had. You can heat it or put it in the freezer and put it on your face. It helped a lot.
Oh, I started counting points today. I think of all the things I got from Ebay for WW, the little calculator has been the handiest. It sure makes counting points easier.
Have a good weekend, Nikki

Goodmorning All: It is a beautiful day here also. DH & DS are tapping and cutting in, I don't have the patience for that. Will be going to a leach free park with DD later. I am so happy to say I found my WW stuff including the points calculator. It was in the basket were DH keeps his cheques etc before they are filed. He asked me to get a cheque for him and there they were, God knows why. Of coarse he pi---d me off when I said there they are and he goes I knew that were there. When I said "why didn't you tell me when you knew I had been looking everywere"? He than says"I didn't know that was what you were looking for" He is lucky I am back on my hormones or he would be dead  Any way off I go to paint, Back later

Are all men created equal? They sure do act the same, so I think they all are related and probably from Mars like the book said. I can sure see my DH doing that too.
Hey, I just tried V8 Splash diet tropical blend and it's not half bad. It has 15 calories in 10 oz, 120% of Vitamin A and 160% of C and it's sweetned with splenda, in case your bored with whatever your drinking right now. I can't say I would drink it all the time, but it's ok for a change.
Nikki
