Default LC Daily chat September 26, 2004

Hey ya!

Happy Sunday - Did everyone have a nice weekend?

Just back from taking Melissa to the train station (so her bed is free now, Dottie! lol) - it was a nice visit. She was a bit quiet but I understand since she has to be 'on' at school/in the dorm so much of her time that this weekend was a great time for her to just mellow out and relax. We all went out to eat and movies Friday night, shopping for art supplies, computer internet board, Walmart stuff on Saturday and then just hung out and talked, etc. today.

Sorry so brief but we need to head off to Bry's game -

Kel

Smile Good Evening

Well.... still packing, moving, organizing, cleaning. YUCK, there is no end of cobwebs or dustbunnies! I will be glad to be done this move. My little man is ill with cold, so no daycare tomorrow, he will accompany me to the new place, and I will unpack and clean with him, also need to do a storage run, dump run, and who knows what else. Feel a sore thick throat coming on, body aches. I will go for a flu shot this year, I ended up with pnuemonia last 2 yrs running.

I must confess, I ate a TOFFEE DONUT from Tim Hortons, actually I ate 2............. . I was running on E and needed a quick fix, and sugar seemed to be it. Well at least I stopped at 2. HA

I will be offline for who knows a week or so. I need to get organized and settled quickly our weather is starting to change here, the dampness has started in the morning and at nite. My weight is on the downward tip right now. Lots of stress with moving and sorting through ur life. I am now 156lbs.

Well off I go to end my day, and plan my route for tomorrow. Happy Healthy Thoughts to you all.

You know, I think that is what scares me the MOST about the possibity of moving: THE MEGA CLEANING. lol - Hang in there, Meowna, just think how great you will feel when you are on the other side of this.

My, my - the coop is v e r y quiet lately. Don't abandon me!!!!!

Whoa - I'm one whipped puppy tonight. Still recovering from the weekend, I guess and then a full day a TWO different clients, to the post office to mail off some stuff Melis left at home (somethings never change) over the weekend, then home to cook dinner and do some laundry that I didn't get finished yesterday. But I'm in my comfy robe already (it's 8:00) and prepared to veg for the rest of the evening.

Hope everyone is well.

I am here Kel and Meona!
I have been pushing my WOs. with the kids in school til 4 I get a who lot more done. I am feeling less bloated but I can't let it go to my head because I have a few pounds to loose. I have been ok about food. I am not following a program per se but I am watching serving sizes...Yesterday i did my LONG Wo and when O was done the neighbor called and asked if I wanted to go ouy for a walk. It was a slow 2.5 miles but I am sore today.

So life is slow here, getting a little bit of paper work done and waiting for the contractor to start on my office.....

Meona, it will be ok you will see. just don't forget to take care of yourself in all of this. Just think...everything you do in the new place is what YOU want to do!
Kel, I was glad to see you and Melis are doing well, When I went to college i thought my mother had NO CLUE lol, now we are good friend but I needed to break away then..
So hang in there you two, life has a way of working out.

Off to take the kids to school and do the eliptical (if my legs will move )

Just checking in. This fall weather and gorgeous sunny days has lofted my spirits so I'm doing lots of sorting and organizing and cleaning. Gotta get the den ready for winter. I might even start to cook porridge.

Lucy's six pups are absolutely adorable! I kind of wish they were here instead of in Morna's puppy room half an hour away. I've taken several pictures but none are good enough to post - a pool of ink with six blobs attached! Hershey is still hanging in and looks as if she is going to have fifty pups - a watermelon with boobs. She is on "maternity leave" from her clinic and nursing home job and seems to be enjoying the rest. Her schedule is: sleep, eat, get petted and hugged, go outside...repeat.

My damned knee is still giving me major grief (torn cartilige since mid-July) so I've not been walking for exercise or even doing much gardening. This morning, after my bath, I'll tackle some of the garden chores. My helper Sarah got a job, dammit!

Kel and Meowna, L144S is right - life does have a way of working out. I did the divorced parent role and completely understand. It does get better.

Have a great day, Carbie Chicks.

Morning chickies,
very wet here this morning and rain all day. I have to work anyway so who cares right?

Good to see you Ruth, I am sorry about the knee problems but don't those pups make it all better?

So I am trying to accountable for my exercise. I over did it onMonday with a killer on the eliptical and then a walk with the neighbor so I just did a short one yesterday, I will drop the kids and come home an WO then go to work.

Other than that life is moving....DH and I are going to vagas for a golf tourney and my MIL is coming to take care of the kids. We have not been away together in a while and we are both looking forward to it, I just have to find time to pack!

Ok keep dry for all of you stuck in the rain belt and enjoy the sunshine for those that are not

just wanted to drop in quick- I am at work, but have not been getting computer time at home-

things going ok, I am pleased to find myself loosing weight. L, it is portion size for me, too. Plus skipping the snacks. The only exercise I'm getting is going up and down the stairs more often. Work is very busy and tense- you have to be "on" all the time, and managment jobs are being cut. Bery nervous!

that's it. home is quiet. I have a killer headcold, just that heavy, stupid feeling, and oh so attractive red nose from blowing. honk.

Meowna, hang in. It'll be nice to have all the de-cluttering pay off later, I still find things from moving last year that I should have thrown out. It good to just have what you need...hurry back!

L, Kel, Ruth and the missing ones- nice to see everyone!

*Note to self: DO NOT watch Survivor while deep in the effects of PMS or you will be in danger of crawling INTO the TV and choking a witch.

which witch did you want to choke Kel? Were you happy with Mia going? I am relieved, because the thought of having to look at her bones when they REALLY start staving in the last few weeks was getting me nervous!

Not much here- I got MEowna's killer cold- throat, ears, nose, headache, chest ache. Went to the Dr. yesterday and started anitbiotic- I never do that, hate to take them. But with MIL in the house very susceptible to everything from chemo playing with her immune system, I felt I'd better kill all the germs I could find. I am bleaching everything in sight. She is doing OK< but weak.

I am working 1/2 day today in order to get in some sleep this morning. That's it- nothing on for the weekend, mayb e get out and take a walk!

have a good one,
dottie

Morning ladies,
Did my WO last night and got a short one in this morning. We are going to the local fair tonight and I know I will walk for hours.

Science project egg drop this morning. you know the routine, make a container and drop it for 3 stories and see if the egg survives....

Landscapers are back to replace the plants we took out over the summer to do the yard. 5 cute guys, should be done today

I have some work to do, finish packing and then I am off for the day....
be well,
-L
