Good afternoon everyone

Sorry I've been away a bit but I've been attacked by the morning sickness monster! I am now on meds to alleviate that. I was so sick with Miree that I vowed I would never go through that again if I didn't have to. Thankfully, the drugs work and I'm feeling much better.

However, have been craving fruit, and fruit juice like you wouldn't believe. Clearly babies love their fruit!

Hope everyone is well and happy and keeping themselves warm in a ll the snow!

Good morning, Chicklets. It's a chilly, gloomy day here on the Wet Coast but no rain (or snow) at the moment.
I've been trying to organize my office (3rd bedroom) which has really gotten out of hand junkwise over the past few years. I cleaned out the closet which was a depository for all kinds of household stuff that didn't fit anywhere else (gift wrap, boxes from new appliances, crafts and supplies, etc). Meanwhile, I had no place to put office supplies. So the other day I went and bought some wire shelving units and have put them in the closet for my papers, envelops, invoices, check forms, etc. Still not finished the job but showing progress. So, with all that going on, plus trying to get our year end ready for the accountant (finally finished that too), why, oh WHY would I suddenly decide that the bedroom dresser need cleaning out? Now I'm halfway through that job too! I really need to learn to focus.
That's why I'm not even going anywhere near my guest/craft/junk room at the moment just in case the spirit moves me in there too.

As for eating, I have been taking the advice of someone on another board to decrease my protein and increase my fat intake for a trial period. How exactly to do that is a bit tricky but already I've noticed an increase in energy (hence the cleaning frenzy) and less hunger. Trouble is, this morning the scale was UP not down! I even went swimming yesterday for the first time in ages and had a good 1 hour workout. Could I perchance be waterlogged? I'm getting really ticked at this whole business and, if I didn't feel so much better on low carb I'd just shove it and go back to pigging out on anything and everything.

Pooky, glad you're feeling better with the meds. Keep us posted on new babe's progress. Did you know that we became grandparents again in November? #2 daughter had her first, a baby girl on Nov 12. Sarah Lynn. We went to meet her in Scotland over Christmas and fell totally in love. Sure wish they lived closer.

Sono, I hear ya about lack of funds. Just had a call from hubby's friendly banker saying he was overdrawn. Well, of course he is. I haven't written him a pay- check yet for January. Naturally I made sure that I got paid though. LOL So, it's a rush trip to his bank for me today.

Leenie, been up to not a whole heckofalot!! I will tell you, tho, that I absolutely do love my job - especially now that the other tech has finally quit and gone! It means I get more shifts (and therefore, more $$$ - always a good thing!!) My dear youngest grandbaby (Emma Zoe) is gonna be 1 tomorrow - cannot believe it! Where on earth does the time fly to???? Please DO post a pic of Princess Gracie......

Pookie, I know that it is so far from LC as to be on some other planet, but when I was preg I suffered terribly from morning sickness - the only thing that helped me even a teeny little bit, was a couple of saltine crackers even before I picked my head up from the pillow in the morning (of course, way back in those olden days - remember, MY baby was 29 in November!! - we didn't have the various meds that are available today) It's good to see you back here, I really hope you're feeling your old self soon!

LindaBC, when you are done organizing at YOUR office, would you please come here and help me do mine? I've been attempting to do it since August!!! I get going for about 1/2 hour, get distracted, and then that's it for another couple of months!!! I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

L - Temple school committee? OY! better you than me!! I was on our Temple board (actually treasurer for 3 yrs, recording secy for 3 yrs and just ol' trustee for 4 years!!) for ages, and it was a lot of work, and a lot of bull, too! I hope your dh got home safe........ when it rains in NYC, the cabs just seem to disappear; and only come back out when the sun is shining!! It hasn't stopped raining since early afternoon. It was so bad, that the street around the corner from me looks like the North Atlantic - with chunks of snow and ice floating in it!! DH told me to avoid that street, cause the water was up to his doors: silly man! He drives a little convertible - I drive a Honda Pilot!!! NO PROBLEM for me! Actually, tho, it took me about 50 minutes to get home today, and I was only working 25 miles away!! Oh well, I am home now and dh made me a (definitely NOT) Margarita! whooo hooo!

Have a good night all.........

Oops - checking in late tonight.

Pooky - When I was PG I always craved oranges, oranges, oranges. I would eat at least 3 a day. The very funny thing about this is the fact that when I'm NOT pregnant I can't stand the taste of oranges!

Promise I will post more on tomorrow's daily - today just got away from me! You aren't the only ones I neglected, tho. I came in to sign off my computer and Melis had stuck bright pink post-its all over my computer screen and keyboard with FASFA written on them! (that is the federal aid paperwork that needs to be done so they will give Melissa $$$$ for college)

Nite-nite

Kel
