Design, the left egg shows whether you're online, if it's got a yolk, someone is online, no yolk=offline. The right egg with the exclamation mark is used to report a bad post by a forum member. Hope that helps, if you hover over the egg icons it will pop up by your mouse cursor Enjoy your jello!
I make my own jello with a recipe I got off another board using kool-aid and sf davinci syrups. Let me know if you would like to try it cuz personally I like it better than sf jello. I know jello is not named on the list for induction so it depends on how strict you want to be.
I have to say though my favorite quick treat is whipped cream with davinci syrup in it. You can do any flavor you like and it is way better than it sounds. I put off trying it when people were telling me about it cuz it just didn't sound that good but I was wrong about that.
Hoping your home is not too much of a mess after the flooding.
I'm doing the original 1972 version of the Diet Revolution. In the list of allowed Induction foods, Dr Atkins says sugar free gelatin is allowed. You can even have a dab of whipped cream (artificially sweetened) but in this original version, you have to limit the amount of cream you use while in the Induction phase of the program. 3 tsp per day of unwhipped cream which to me, translates to about 1 tbsp of whipped. (I use a rounded tbsp. LOL)
For the whipped cream you just use enough syrup to flavor it. Whip the cream and then add the syrup for flavor.
Jello
1 envelope Knox Gelatine
1 small pkg. of UNSWEETENED Kool-Aid
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup sf davinci syrup
0 carbs
In a bowl combine the gelatine and kool-aid and add boiling water and stir until dissolved. Put syrup into cold water to make one cup then add and chill.
Top with whipped cream.
I prefer this to jello cuz it has a little snap to it. Really good too if you add berries (after induction.)
I also will top it with 4 oz cream cheese softened (4 carbs), 1 cup heavy whipping cream (whipped) (6.6 carbs,) and 3 packets of Splenda or Sweet n Low (3 carbs), mix ingredients together to make thick topping, spread over set jello. Carbs vary by thickness of spreading. But if evenly spead the jello will serve 12 (double recipe above) so this should be about 1.2 carbs per serving.
I just tried the Davinci website but they tell me they don't ship to Canada. They have such a terrific selection of flavors too, dang it! At my current low carb shopping site in North Vancouver, they only have three flavors and the shipping charges are the pits.
Thanks for sharing the recipe, Bunnababy. I'm assuming I could use Crystal Lite instead of the Kool Aid??
