Default Mighty Monday 2/2!

Morning!

Wet, windy, wild here today. Bry has tryouts for the high school baseball team all this week (I think I'm more nervous than HE is) - wonder if they will go on as planned this afternoon? Probably, bit of rain and wind won't stop those coaches.

I bought a new vehicle on Friday! I'm going to have two teen drivers in the house in about 6 months and my old Oldsmobile just wasn't going to cut it. They sure wouldn't be able to help me out with the driving if I always had our only car. I was looking for a used Tahoe, 02 or 03, but found a great internet deal on an 04 with lots of GM discounts ($4k!) and ended up spending just a tiny bit more than I originally planned - but on a new one, not used! It is great to have a vehicle that my teen boys FIT in again (SH took the 02 Yukon XL Denali).

Gotta hit the showers - bracing for a busy week ahead!

Good Morning Kel....and all to come!!

Kel~sounds like a really good deal!! Good for you!!

Lets see, not alot happened over the weekend......we had a really busy saturday at the store, which is very unsual for January. Saturday alone, beat the entire months sales of jan. last year!! Maybe its the new paint job???

DIL took a nasty flip at the grocery store yesterday, and ended up at emergency for a few hours. She tore something in her knee, and is now walking around on crutches.

Bought the new Eating for Life book by Bill Phillips. Excellent recipes for BFL. I suspect anyone that is doing low carb and has increased their carb intake would benefit from it as well.

I think thats all thats new

Have a great day everyone
Robin

Busy week here too with long rehearsals every night gearing for performance on Thursday. See my journal for the gory details!
Sunny so the groundhog WILL see his shadow. Oh well! We don't get Spring for over six weeks anyhow - although I do remember it came in February once! Or did I dream that?
Super Monday to everyone.

Morning Kel and Robin, and those yet to come........
Wow! it's almost warm here.... 36F!!! can you tell that winter has gone on much too long???

Kel.. great deal on the Tahoe......... good for you! Doesn't it feel to get up and do it for yourownda$nself!!! YOU GO GIRL! someday, somehow, someway that stbxsh is gonna get his own back, and you are going to be just fine - heck! you ARE just fine!

Robin - great news on the business for the month........ I guess now you won't think about closing for January next year, huh? Hope dil's knee is better soon - it stinks trying to get around on crutches, been there done that! (and still have the crutches in the basement, "justincase")

Well, it's almost noon... time to get ready to go into work for the late shift. I've been such a busy "housewifey" type person today (sooo unusual for me!) - so far I've done 2 loads of laundry, cooked a couple of meals (to freeze for late work nights).... AND delivered the last of the payroll taxes to the last client! OY! I'm tired!

Have a great day everyone!

Ooops, Ruthie, you snuck in on me there! Good to see your shining face! I'm gonna have to check out those gory details!

Hello!

No school today. Ice and snow. It's supposed to be clear tomorrow, but if it drifts, we may get one more day off. The snow is like a white velvet curtain coming down. It's so pretty. DH is thinking of calling in tonight, if it still looks nasty. He could use a day off and the factory he works at never closes, no matter the weather.

My best friend called this morning and kept me on the phone for (and I'm not exagerating) 2 HOURS. My end of the conversation consisted mostly of m-m-m, really? no kidding? uh-huh, right! Oh well, everyone needs to vent.

I started a big pot of veggie soup while I was on the phone. It turned out really good, but how can you ruin veggie soup?

Have a great day, all!
