OK chickies, I am most definitely not a happy camper here - even tho I DID get in my exercise for the whole month this morning!!! Last night it took me 1hr 20 minutes to get home from where I was working yesterday (a whole 32 miles!!) due to freezing rain and sleet, and when I woke up this morning, it was to approx 11 inches of snow on my 165 ft of driveway!!!! DH is sick, so guess who was out there this morning for 1-1/2 hrs?!?!?!? AND, my boss does expect me at work today (bless ( ? ) 4-wheel drive!!) ARRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the blasted plow just came thru again....... all my work Altho, the good news was that a couple of times when I looked up from the snowblowing, dh was standing at the door w/a hot cup of coffee for me, and when I came inside, he made a cheese omelet for me without me having to ask!!!
Anyhow, enough ranting, I better get in the shower....... have a good day chickies, and any of you who got socked - stay warm, dry and safe!

Sorry to hear about the snow sonogranny. I used to hate shoveling the driveway and then have the plow come through. Then for a while my neighbor across the street would see me outside shoveling and would come w/his snowblower. Then the dude living behind us now takes his truck and plows us out. I've got great neighbors!!

*shutters* I just don't know HOW you guys live with that cold/wet white stuff day in day out. I would JUST DIE, I tell ya! (any Will & Grace fans out there?)

What other morning chat are you referring to, Brenda? The LCFS thread for the week? That is a group of 4 (or so) ladies that have posted together for a while now.

I have the morning off to go to Crack-A-Back doc and makes some phone calls, etc. I've got to make one to my lawyer, too. *frowns* SH has started trouble up again. (I just KNEW the last 3 weeks have been calm like the 'eye of the storm')

I've been doing fairly good (for me!) with my eating. Meat salads for lunch, no time for snacking during the day and minimal sugary stuff in the evening. When I get home from work (before I gotta hit the road again to take kids here or there, etc.) I've been grabbing a big spoon of PB and that seems to tide me over so I'm not consuming every junk food item in sight until I can get a decent dinner in me. It's not perfect but I'm making babystep progress in the right direction and THAT is good enough for me right now!

Have a great day all - STAY WARM!

Kel

Nearly noon here and I am snowed in - well, not really as I've been out the lane a couple of times. It's still coming down so who knows.

I went to rehearsal last night despite the storm and managed just fine - just have to pay attention! It was a bit disconcerting when I thought my lights had burned out. Then I realized they were still covered with snow despite all my snow brushing before I left. Duh! You'd think I'd smarten up!

Sonogranny, what a good DH you have! I like the image of coffee waiting. I came in from shovelling and mine asked me if I was going to make coffee! Grrrr!

Lady A - cherish your neighbour! I have a "lad" who ploughs us out but he went and got a day job! He'll be around early this evening.

Kel - hang tough! Been there and done that and mopped up the mess with the T-shirt.

Happy White Wednesday! Cute title!

Afternoon Ladies

Ok.....remember one of my new years resolutions, was to get a handle on my stress????? Well, Im not doing very good! Yesterday I got 2 emails from my ex. Now they werent his usual condesending notes. They were actually pretty good, and thoughtful! (shocking but true) the problem is ME! Just hearing from him, sends me into a tailspin. Ive been op and exercising so good Ive been so proud of myself. What do I do last night???? I blew it!! big time!! I dont need to get into the sordid details......lets just say Krispy Kremes were involved! So today, Im crankier than all ****, because Im pissed off at myself for what I did, and I let him get to me again!

So....today is a new day....and Im not going to let this get to me! Think if I had taken him to the cleaners I wouldnt be feeling like this??? HA! Ok, Im going to go take my cranky self and fuss with the store...its not quite done yet. (almost)

Wish me luck ladies.....we HAVE control (right?)

Robin, is there any way you can block your exSH's e-mail message? Just send them to nowhere land? Who needs the agony?
Kel, my sympathies to you also with your ex-SH problems. I guess you just have to ride this out. Let the lawyers handle it and try to stay calm.

Ruth, you and Sono also have my sympathies. I don't envy you the white stuff. I hope you both get all dug out and that you don't get hit by more. We were supposed to get freezing rain this morning so I cancelled my pool session and then it just rained, as usual. I was comparing our high/low temps with worldwide and we are very similar to Milan, Italy right now. SOmehow, I'd rather be there. At least they have sunshine instead of rain.

Still no movement on my scale, even though I'm totally OP. I'm beginning to wonder if the scale has rusted onto 272. Here's my Atkins '72 menu for today.
3 bacon
2 egg omelet with 1 diced mushroom and 1 chopped green onion
I only ate half of it.
1 Diet Revolution roll with butter.

Lunch
Spinach salad with sliced mushrooms, green onion, sliced turkey, bacon bits, parmesan cheese, 1/2 avocado and o/v dressing.

Dinner (planned)
Ground pork/veal patties
Chopped raw cauliflower & peppers with o/v dip

diet jello w whipped cream.
