Morning Tummy, I've got a snowblower but no backhoe However, coffee is hot and fresh!!

Life has been very hectic around here, but I am still OP I can hardly believe myself! The scale isn't moving, but it WILL! My chest no longer feels like it's gonna explode after I eat (total carb meals you know the ones: pasta w/garlic bread, and LOTS of it??? ) I'm also starting to feel better about myself for actually doing this, and not just talking about it...

Oh well, I guess it's time to get the day started........... to all coming in later..........

Ffffffrrrrreeeeezing here too - maybe because the darn woodstove went out last nigth! Sometimes I feel like I should give up on this pioneer stuff and just burn those commercial firelogs! Too bad I have five cords of wood sitting there.

I thought of you, Sonogranny, this morning when I saw my two darlings nestled on the captains chairs in the kitchen. They are so happy just to be near me and I can feel the love. Everyone needs an adoring doggie!

Tummy, why the heck did our ancestors settle here? And if you are central Canada, what are we? You know Toronto is the centre of the universe.

Have to schlepp the garbage and recycle stuff out to the road for dump run pick-up. I've cleaned a lot of wine bottles out of the basement - we used to bottle our own - so that will give the village something to gossip about.

Have a lovely day and stay warm.

Speaking of center of the universe...our phone books 2 years ago had a picture of the sign that designates the geographical centre of canada (It's about 20min. east of winnipeg) and in the caption it said the same thing, "And I thought Toronto was the centre of the universe" Too funny!

Good morning.

It's breezy here in SE Iowa. About 30 degrees. Not bad. But no snow. That sounds good to someone buried under several inches (feet?) of snow, but it's not good for the farmers around here. We haven't been getting much percipitation of any sort this winter.
Ruth - my friend used to have a wood stove, and then went to a wood furnace. They are a lot of work to use, aren't they? But I guess you can look at it as a lot of calories burned! And a big wind won't blow out your wood stove like it has my pilot light, before. I guess there are plusses and minuses to everything.

I've got to go get ready for first period. Have a great day!

Oh Ruthie.......... are you trying to make me jealous? I so much want one of those lovelies to own me.......... not to mention, also to warm my freezing cold feet!!! dh will be staying at dd's house tonight (he has a class tonight which ends at 10:30 pm, and then an audition for a print ad tomorrow a.m. in NYC) so I really could use a footwarmer
Ok, it's now time to get dressed and out of here for work - boy, my patients are sooooo lucky they have a nice tech: I keep the gel in the house overnight and then warm it up before I put it on their cold skin
btw: how come my # of posts hasn't changed in a while?

Smile So glad to be here!!

Hi everyone. I'm new here....been lurking for a couple of weeks. I have learned so much about lo carbing!

Started beginning of January and have lost 9 lbs. in 2 weeks!!! Been doing strict Somersizing....it's so easy....but no carb meals.

My hubbie and I recently moved to the Oregon coast...and although it rains alot there is no snow!! I lived on the east coast most of my life....don't miss it. Lots of yummy seafood here too!!

I'm not much of a talker, but I want to make some new lo carb friends here. Hang in there...I'm cheering for all of us!

Welcome Gypsy, hello ladies.
I did my WO this morning and took a nice long shower too. It was so nice to have ALL of the hot water to myself. DH's grandmother is in for a visit so i spent some time with her today. She taught me how to knot and I am making a fun fur scarf! It is easier than I thought, just never did it before.

Gypsy, I live north of boson and boy are we having a very cold winter! I am not sure i would trade rain though, I love my leather shows and the rain just makes them look really bad..lol...
off to help the kids with homework and knit a little more before i forget....
