Default Lo Carb and Curves! Newbie!

Hi all!

I'm a newbie to this site, but not to Curves and Lo Carbin!
My name is Pat, I'm 47 years old and till last year, did not have a weight problem. Till I quit smoking that is.

I've gained over 30 lbs in the past year and have decided to quit whinin' and do something about it. Sooooooo, I joined Curves and started a lo carb wol.

I'm looking forward to all the support here!!

Thanks!

Pat S

tippurr--bless your heart. my husband, who has been on atkins just over a week, was going over what he ate today. he was clicking along and mentioned that he had a dr. pepper, our fave. i asked him if he knew how many carbs one dp had in it. i thought he was gonna cry when i told him 40. he said, "i didn't even think about it." i told him that was ok, because i got off plan today too. my landlord's wife brought over something for me to try--mostly bread in it. turks are very sensitive about having their food or drink refused. so, i had to do what any good southerner would do--tried it and enjoyed it. she knows very little english. i know very little turkish. but we do exchange foods from our different cultures. anyway, long story to say i understand. have a great day!
