Hi Peachie!

Not much new happening with me, I had a wonderful dream about eating my fav chocolate last night!! I wonder what it means??? I just might have to go look it up.

Im still op and doing good, getting my workouts in without too much of a fuss. Hubby joined me the other day and did some weight training too. Now, I dont know if this is a good idea or not. I wanted him to, but after watching him......I lost alot of concentration, and miscounted many times. Mind you it certainly is nice to watch

LOL Robin, darn distractions, how are you supposed to concentrate? Glad everything is going well on BFL. I am doing the weight training part of the program as I didn't know where to start when I wanted to take up weights again. It's hard but I've seen results a lot more quickly than the way I used to lift. Hope you're starting to see some results, it's a fabulous program and sure makes a lot of sense.

Peachie, ty for the referral to the WLS announcement. Hope everything goes smoothly for her.

Well, well, getting back into my routines, which feels utterly fabulous I might add. Do have one banger of a headache this morning but with all these meds it's truly no wonder. Life is great, work days are long with all this sniffling but alas, it could be so much worse. Even ate breakfast for the first time in 4 days so I guess it's looking up.

But time for work, must run, and ty Linda for the body flex info, I now understand, sometimes I sure take awhile, lol.

Things are proceding apace around here - whatever that means. I am on a holding pattern as far as weightloss goes but am trying to make healthy choices, not all low carb but healthy. Harry is still in neverneverland but we are coping. I am trying to get out with the Girls for a walk twice a day. They are my comfort and joy - just always so upbeat and happy about life!

Thanks for starting us up, Robin. I intend to start BodyFlex today. (My idea of a start will be to get the box out of the car and into the house! I promise I WILL start to use it as soon as things settle a bit around here.)

Exercise - now there is an area I need MAJOR help with. I work all day and by the time I get home, I don't have the energy to do it. I KNOW - if I would do it I'd have more energy.

I guess that is my goal for this week - to try and get SOME exercise in - I'm going to try and post any exercise I get with my food journal, so I can keep everything together.

I use to get up and go to the health club every morning and work out. Maybe I need to join - the guilt of paying and not using might help me. I use to also do aqua aerobics after work twice a week - stopped that when the chlorine made me break out. I dropped my membership because I went back to school 2 years ago and haven't started up since I graduated. Plus working full-time, it was way too much.

Ruth - I forget what type of dogs you have. I currently have a 1/2 cocker spaniel 1/2 springer spaniel and my daughter wants a Yorkie - does anyone know anything about them. I can't find any for sale around here, the ones on the net are over $500!!! Way too much for my budget - any suggestions would be wonderful - she doesn't know I'm looking for one to surprise her.

D rowland, if you don't mind having a rescued Yorkie, you can check out http://unitedyorkierescue.org/lookingforlove.shtml. It is a site for adopting rescued Yorkies in various states. Adoption costs range from $100-300. I'm a believer in rescuing animals. I had to put down my Springer Spaniel around Thanksgiving last year at the age of 15. He was 9 when I adopted him from the Humane Society. He was one of the best dogs I have ever owned. These animals just need love and attention. If you prefer to get one from a breeder go to http://www.shooterdog.com/ctrlus.htm. It has a list of breeders and information about them. There are some breeders listed for Illinois. Good luck in finding a Yorkie for your daughter!

My neighbour has a rescued Yorkie - an adorable little critter who seemed to come without any problems. I really support the rescue dog efforts and sometimes feel a bit guilty about my two breeding Portuguese Water Dogs. Well, they are rare and we need more but I keep thinking about all the poor furries without homes and feel badly. That's why I keep writing cheques to the Humane Societies, I guess.

Morning all! Not feeling so well today. Achey all over and feeling pretty green. Blah!! I am at work, but would seriously like to go home. Of course today is some huge meeting with lots of stuff that still needs to be done for it by 2pm. Hopefully I can make it till then and then go home.

DD was a little more receptive last night. We're just taking everything one step at a time. DS, who is in Kindergarten, had his first day of the aftershool karate program. He rode the activity bus home, but didn't arrive home until 6:30 pm Karate was over at 4:30!! Made for quite a tense few hours. Seems like the bus driver, a very grumpy old man, got confused and lost on where to drop the kids. Anyway, lots of phone calls later and some moments of wondering if I should be panicking, the boy made it home. Boy was he tired, thristy and hungry!! I don't know if he will ride the bus again unless the have a different driver.

I really need a quite, normal day today. Don't have a clue what or if I will be able to eat today. Water is the only thing I've been brave enough to get down so far.

I donate to them too and always wish I could do more. I only have one dog but wish I could have more. I love all dogs. I'll have to look up your breed of dog on the net as I've never heard of it. I can tell from your postings that you love your dogs as much as I do. My problem with breeding puppies would be that I would get too attached to let them go. I'm a fool for puppies.

Good morning, ladies...

Well, I've been busy since I got back in town, so hadn't been around to post. Apparently, I failed to drink enough water while out of town. I weighed in at 314.5 on Monday. I got back on Thursday, and weighed that night---at over 320. I only had one day that I *think* I hit the 20-25g range, but stayed well below 20g the rest of the time. The only thing I can think of to account for this was not drinking enough water. As of last night, one week later, I'm at 314 even. Whatever I gained came off very quickly.

Big stir-up and happenings at home lately, too.

First, my sister got hit in my car while at a gas station yesterday. Fortunately, just a dent and no major damage. It will be a royal pain to get the dent out, but that's all there is to it. The guy who hit her had no insurance, so he gets to eat a (minimum) $260 ticket.

Second, my brother and sister are moving out---sharing an apartment three ways with my sister's fiance. Needless to say, this has my parents....well....not in a very good mood, to say the least. At least I view it from a positive standpoint--they have no respect for helping out financially at home, so they will now get to learn the hard way what it takes. Even if they move back in in three months, they will have had at least *some* taste of what it's like, and, maybe, gain some more respect. Besides, I need the room at home!

Hey Brad, did you fly on your trip? If so, that might have caused some water retention. I can't remember why, but I know that I was always told to leave my shoes on when I flew because they might not fit when we landed...

Today has been stressful, had Rob to the doctor for bloodwork at 7:30 am, went to IHOP with Cody for bacon and eggs, hold the pancakes, then Cody to school, then back to get Cody for the cardiologist, then to pick Rob up at his doctor after his tests, then Cody to school, then to feed Rob before his sugar hit rock bottom, then home here to wait on a phone call about Amy. She is in a lot of pain, but the WLS went fine. I'm pooped. And no time to exercise before I get Cody from school before our haircuts! What a day. And to think I planned on working today as well, but finally asked off last minute. What was I thinking!?

Turtle, run, run away, it felt fabulous to leave at 1:30p.m. today. Heck, my darn staff kicked me out. The cold is waning but my asthma kicked up a notch today and goodness I sounded horrible, and then there's the whole couldn't breathe part.

Jennifer, glad Amy's made it through ok, that must be a real relief for all of you.

Welcome back Brad, home safe and sound. Might have even been all the eating out that did it too, extra salt, who knows but you sure bounced back in a hurry.

Going to go lay down after another few cups of coffee to help with this darn weezing.
