  • Boy was I naughty today!

DH convinced me that we could skip the beach without ruining my child's future Neither kid wanted to go and the weather was going to be a little cool for a beach day.

It was a perfect "amusement park" day, not too hot but sunny and comfortable. With much trepidation (DS can be a handful and he can be anxious about "scary" things) we headed off for the crowds & roller coasters. We had a blast all day long and DS loved the roller coasters, even the ones where the bottom dropped out of MY stomach

However, I did have a bite (or two) of DD's fried dough and then after the kids had pretty much walked my feet off (let's alternate rides at opposite ends of the park!) I had a soft-serve ice cream with chocolate dip.

Ah well, we had a blast, the kids are finally tired out and DS was an angel all day.
  • Wow What a tough few days!!!!!

I have been out of town on work stuff for the past three days. The good part of that is that I can eat out all the ime and eating out is easy for me, just a salad of some kind, or grilled meat, not a problem. Ale away from the fridge, at night so nothing to eat except the low carb snacks I brought along!

The bad part, eating with a group at lunch and dinner, restaurants not always my choice, but I was assertive and spoke up that I would prefer not to eat chinese or mexican. And the snacks!!!!!!! Break foods at meetings were: Bagles aand cream cheese, doughnuts and CHOCOLATE everywhere! Cookies and pastries too! I really was not interested in eating it, but stress ( listening to tlak after talk on "No Child Left Behind") eating was a bigger battle than cravings, but I resisted the WHOLE THREE DAYS!!!!!! Drank ALOT of water and more diet pop than I should have, but it was trade off and I think i won. Back to normal feels so good!!!!
