Default Atkins Morning Start Bars

Has anybody tried these? I have tried two flavors and they are GREAT! I had Cinnamon Bun first. The coating tastes like a powder sugar frosting. YUM! Today I bought the Apple Crisp and they are soooooooo good. They don't taste artificial and they are really crispy. It feels like they have rice krispies in them.

Has anyone tried the other flavors?

We just tried both of those this weekend - very big fans! They're a nice alternative to eggs (again).

For the Apple, it is
170 calories
13 g carbs
6 grams fiber
1 g sugar
1 g sugar alcohol
4 g glycerine
Net 2 carbs.

They are 6.99 for a box of 5, locally. Might be able to get them cheaper at Atkins. It's a good price for a 'meal' but a wee bit pricey for a snack.

Default Just my 2 Cents

It isn't a Morning Bar but I had an Atkin's S'mores protein bar and it was great! Personally, I thought the Cinnimon Bun Bar was a bit waxy. I'm a big texture person . Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to eat them I've just found the S'mores to be overall ...better. As a side note, my favorite low carb breakfast is the Low Carb Success Cherry Granola-it is AWESOME!!!!!

Thanks for this thread. I was wondering about them. I just (for the first time) the atkins bar and loved them. I hate the other protien bars, they are icky, but the atkins taste great. I'm going to try a shake tomorrow.

I'll now have to buy the breakfast bars!

Jennifer-It's a product from Low Carb Success. It's called Wild Cherry Nutrageous. It's not a bar but rather a Granola Cereal. I would have to say it's probably as good, if not better than any hi carb granola I have ever had(it has 2 Crbs /serving too). Let me know what you think if you try it.

Those items are not available in my part of Canada as far as I know. I've bought Atkins Advantage bars and find they verging on disgusting. SOmething about the texture...is that soy?
I checked on the Atkins Indulge bars and they are $3 for a tiny little nibble of a thing. Sorry, it's not worth it for me.
I've never even heard of the breakfast bars but I'm wondering if it would be worth a little jaunt down into Wa. to get some. I wonder what store sells them.

I didn't like the Advantage bars, either. One of them was ok...can't remember which. Ooh, Indulge bars are that high in Canada? I am thinking they are about $1 to $1.25 here.

I have found the Morning Start bars at two regular (larger) grocery stores, and at my local health food store.

Yeah the advantage bars taste pretty yucky. There is one flavor, I think Coconut, that tasted decent...but that's it.
They sell the Morning Start at mostly every grocery store in the diet aisles.

Hi,
On your recommendation I went out and bought both kinds this weekend. I like to eat a bar type of breakfast since I NEVER get up on time to make anything!!!!! and, although they are not nummy delish, they certainly are good and a great alternative for me when I head to work! I have had both, and not sure which i like better....both are good!
