Morning! Ruth!

Rainy and dreary here, but school starts tomorrow so I am happy! Hoping to get out and get some odds and ends for the boys but we seem to be running around dh's schedule and it is hard to get out!

Has anyone heard from Jenny (DonDar)? or Sherry (goodforme)? I miss them.

Food wise I am doing fine. Low carbing and eating little bits and I am feeling pretty good.

hope you all find a little piece of sunshine today.

Thanks peach, found my little piece then it went away. Should be a nice day however. Exercise done for today, it was weight day and oh it burns!!

Starting packing on the water weight today, yay, at least I had a chance to see 190 yesterday before the water hording began. Thank goodness for small blessings.

Hectic day of meetings at work today so I guess I will get nothing done . But alas, at least this eating thing is on track, one small measure of control in an otherwise crazy world.

Have a super day all.

G'morning, ladies...

Still losing, so still good. I've pretty much finished verifying that I'm 'immune' to the stalling effects of nitrates/nitrites, aspartame, shakes/bars, etc, so my choices are definitely plentiful.

I'm heading out of town for work next week. Fortunately, my boss and I have a pretty well set routine for our typical trips as to where we will eat, so I already know I'll be fine. This time it's Dallas. That means a Mexican seafood place and Papadeaux (seafood) at a minimum. Last time I went to Papadeaux, they had a special...two 1lb steamed lobsters, whole, for $16.99. Work pays for it, but that's cheaper than they usually run--and they were excellent lobsters! And then there's pho (Vietnamese soup) at Pho Cong Li. Plenty of good low-carb choices!

In November or December, it will be a trip to Amarillo. That means the Big Texan, by far the best steak house in existence. Plus there's a nice Thai restaurant with an excellent Thai seafood soup. And, finally, a good teppan room (Japanese steakhouse where they cook your food at the table). That means quality seafood and grilled veggies, hold the rice.

You know, I once looked back on how sad it was that the only thing to look forward to on business trips was planning where I'd eat. I viewed it as just another sign of gluttony. Now I have to look forward to it in order to plan for low-carb ahead of time. It's sort of an interesting irony.

Good Morning Everyone

Im back from travelling, and it wasnt too bad. We almost had a big ole black bear for a hood ornament. We were driving at night, and you couldnt see him until you were right ontop of him. He was standing on the shoulder of the road, and at the last minute he decided to go the other way .....thank god! Because there was no way we would have been able to stop in time, or swerve for that matter.

I met the ex's gf for the first time........and it went very well. She seems nice and thats all that matters. As for the picture of this blonde bombshell from paris I had in my head.......well, lets just say I dont know what I was worried about Even hubby made a few comments after leaving.....geez I love that man!!

Back to work today, Im going to start my fundraising programs this week, and hopefully get them out to the neighbourhood schools and daycare centers. Im hoping for a very busy 4th quarter!!

I read most of the postings I missed while I was away, and now I dont remember everything, but I do remember LindaBC's losses WTG Linda!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Thank you, Robin, and I'm sure glad you didn't hit that bear!

Brad, you've got me drooling here just reading about all the wonderful food choices you will have on your journey. LOBSTER!! Only in my dreams.

I was wondering where our missing Jenny and Sherry are too. In fact, I was going through our recipe files and I saw lots of names that I haven't seen here in a long, long time. Do you think they reached their goals and have moved on?

Today I picked up another 20 lb crate of peaches as well as 20 lb of Italian prune plums. The plums will be halved and frozen to make German Plum Coffeecake which my hubby loves. I will freeze some of the peaches in slices and preserve the rest.

Now, I need to get to work on my club's newsletter. Our first meeting after our summer hiatus will be on Thursday. We're supposed to be taking a trip to a honey bee operation after a short meeting but I think I'll skip the trip. Our next door neighbor keeps bees and I'm sick of listening to him going on and on about every detail of bees, hives and honey. LOL I can't eat the stuff anyhow so why even think about it?

good afternoon!

I tried to sign on this morning, but the internet was down at work. Today was weigh day. I stayed the same, but I got a visit from TOM today and I think that explains it. My size 28 jeans are definitely feeling looser, so I'm happy.

I have open house tonight at school, so I need to get back there. I hope everyone has a great night. Until tomorrow.
