We had a HUGE thundestorm at 5:30 this am. Lots yesterday too and I have 2 big dogs that HATE the thunder! So off to an early start. The shower dood guy is due any second.
KFS is back for her summer break so we will catch up later...
Another fly-by post, Chickies. The rustle of feathers you heard at 5 was just me dashing out to the Fair Hall to unlock the bathrooms for the Midway folks. The porta-potties that we got yesterday are out of commission! Don't ask how!
I have a few things to do today at home and on the road picking up money but it looks like we are in great shape for the Fair opening tomorrow morning at 9.
Hope everyone is doing well this week. I am wrestling with the carb monster. It does not help to have folks bringing fries into the Office but I'm OK so far!
I missed the thunder this morning, but I'm a heavy sleeper anyway. Just got home last night after 5 weeks in paradise, back to reality - I can't even see the dining room table for all the mail & bills & stuff!
The good news is I lost 9 lbs while I was away!! No scale so I just tried to eat OP (it's a lot easier with no grocery store and no restaurants :-). We had a blast but everyone was glad to be back in their own bed last night and the kids are glued to the tube trying to make up for lost time
We are home for two days and then off to Houston for a 4-day weekend to visit my SIL & family. I'm looking forward to seeing them but not to triple digit heat and high humidity. I have a hair appt today and I'm going to tell him the results had better be up to "big hair" standards
I'm so far behind on all your great posts, it'll be September by the time I catch up!
kfs, congratulations on the 9lbs gone!! way to go!!
I had a little sleep in this morning, when I got up, hubby had my coffee sitting and waiting for me on the kitchen counter Just lovely
My brother and future sil arrived yesterday for part of the day. They were going to the Eagles concert then driving the 2 hours back home after it. They would have stayed, but they couldnt find anyone to watch their dogs.
Found out that dad pulled a pretty serious muscle, or he may have given himself another hernia. He's going to wait it out a bit longer and see if it gets any better. He was riding a tracter and sneezed!! Of all things, and now he is off work in pain! He says it was a pretty good sneeze! lol He jokes about finding out
if he can get compensation because it was a sneeze due to the grass he was cutting at work I think he's just going to enjoy his time off! lol
Thats about it from here, I hope everyone has a great day
Robin
I am getting frustrated, not losing ANYTHING. I have been the strongest in my life these past couple of days. There are so many temptations at work and I am not giving in to any of them. And still, no loss. I am going to drop down closer to induction levels and see if that sparks a loss. I think it's water, but I just can't seem to shake it. Maybe I should count my sodium intake!
Ok, it's off to work I go. Have a wonderful ON PLAN day! Good luck everybody!
Thanks, Jennifer. I thought I was going nuts when I checked in just now!
Just back for a minute from the Fair. We did the draw for the kid's school work and a Grade 1 won it! (Every kid with 4 or more entries had their name in a draw for a $200 gift card at Canadian Tire.) Little Joshua was sort of excited - he said he was going to get his Mum a new microwave and a tractor for his Dad! Too cute!
Morning Everyone!!
We have gorgeous weather here today--house wide open--down to 58 last night. Great sleeping weather! (If only I wasn't an insomniac) I guess this nice weather is our reward for making it through that terrible storm.
Not much happening here today--got to get the house cleaned up. The lady who helped me pick out paint etc. a couple of years ago for my dining room, living room, kitchen is coming tomorrow to help me figure out what I am going to do with my bedroom and the main bathroom. I bought a new shower curtain and accessories and a new bedspread for the bedroom. I am excited about the change!
Tonight is DS's last summer basketbal game.
This weekend he has a 7 on 7 football tournament and then next week football camp starts so not much of a break, but I'll take it!
Ruth, hope the fair is a great success!
L, sorry that our storms headed your way!
Kim, glad you're back and congrats on the loss!
Robin, sorry to hear that your dad is having problems-that must have been one big sneeze!
Linda, Body Flex is a breathing exercise routine with some stretching and then some exercise with a resistance bar--it takes about 18 minutes and it can be done sitting down in a chair. I will PM you the details from the website where I post with other ladies doing it. Some of them have been REALLY successful.
Okay ladies, better get it going here!! Take care and have a wonderful day!!
DS, Chad, has been working on the puter hookup again. I think he's done - but as illiterate as I am, who knows. There are six at the dinner table, Shdh is sitting on the bed eating and watching the news.....ds Michael is riding dirtbikes and hasn't eaten yet...neither have I, but very soon. I am tired.
So, just a quick one from me tonight. I don't want to be just another lurker out there so wanted to say hi to all! Life is still real life but wanted to at least share with my friends that I'm alive and well.
Evening ladies! Made a FABulous roast today that got raves even from dd, who hates almost everything! I'm not sure how lc it is, but it's only got 1 onion, 1/2 cup mushrooms, and 1 can mushroom soup. It's good enough for my needs, and now I can have leftovers for lunch instead of fast food.
Hope you're all having a wonderful night, too busy to post, and will check in soon. Talk to you tomorrow!
