Finally Friday Daily ~ 7/10

  • Sneaking into the coup quietly....... coffee's brewing......

    WAKEY ~~ WAKEY !!

    IT'S FINALLY FRIDAY !!!!!!
  • Shhhhhhhhh, MamaJ! It's a rainy Friday here and The Girls are sleeping soundly after early morning potty and breakfast.

Miss Lucy is still not aware that today is haircut day. I hate to do it but am going to give her doggy tranqs so it can be done more quickly. She doesn't have a vicious bone in her body but thinks the scissors are a game and tries to bite them. We'll see what the tranqs do. Maybe she should be on them permanently.

I got my perm yesterday and am in the adjustment period today where I go into shock when I pass a mirror. I just need a few people to tell me it looks great and I'll be OK. It is not as curly (shall we say frizzy?) as last time when I had to use my curling iron to remove curl! Dan ususally does a super job but must have been PMSing in April when he did it last.

I made a few more slips yesterday on the SBD diet and am on the verge of slipping out of ONEderland. I'm hanging on for dear life and will be "pure" today.

Check in, chickies. Don't feel you need to say anything profound. I sure don't! I even bore myself!

    Happy TGIF!
  • Good Morning, I have an early morning question. I have been on Atkins 2 days(today is my third). Last night I woke with such a horrible leg cramp. I thought I read somewhere that to avoid leg cramps take a certain vitamin. Anybody remember reading that or know the vitamin.

    Have a good day!

  • Sure thing, RFP. Potassium is the solution. Magnesium is a help too but potassium will help the leg cramps. The Atkins diet is slightly diuretic and potassium is excreted in the urine so you need to replace it.
And welcome to the LC forum.
My dog Hershey is from PA - maybe we are related!
  • Ruthxxx,

Thanks for the welcome. I started LC a few days ago and so far okay. I seem to be having the same breakfast every morning, 2 eggs with cheese and bacon. Any other suggestions?

What kind of dog do you have. We have 2 black labs.

  • Good Friday morning chickies,

I am working on a cake job and getting ready to take the boys to Cedar Point (an amusement park in Ohio) for the weekend. They are so excited. It is a bit gloomy here and surprisingly cool, but it should be nice for the weekend.

    Have a nice weekend.
  • Welcome, RFP. I've also heard that Vitamin E helps with night leg cramps. My sis used to get terrible cramps in her legs at night but ever since she's taken E, they haven't troubled her, so perhaps a combination of potassium (which I've just started taking to combat weariness), magnesium (helps keep me going . and E would cover just about everything.

I did my water workout all alone this morning but it was lovely. Our indoor pool is quite new and has huge windows looking toward our incredible Coast Mountains. Today, all the windows were open so there was a fresh, warm breeze coming in. I didn't want to leave but I had to go and have x-rays done on right foot and knee which have been giving me trouble and bloodwork to determine if I do or don't have rheumatoid arthritis. Keep your fingers and boobs crossed for me, Chicks. I sure don't want that affliction. My aunt had it and she wound up (literally) twisted like a pretzel and thin is nice but she was skin and bones and bedsores by the time she died of it.
Now, I've played long enough and I have to go and bag/freeze a flat of blueberries before they start going mouldy. They are gorjuss though. Wish I could eat some but that's a no-no at this stage (sigh)
Ruth, don't you dare regress. You are doing so well on SBD and in Onederland. I've been bragging about you to everybody. Stay away from the vino, my friend.
That's all for now. Catch ya later.
