Morning Ruth and All to Come!!! It is also a beautiful day here in IL--I set my sprinkler to going by 5:00 so that I can get the whole front yard watered early in the day. We are still dry here--going to need to give all of my flowers a drink too.
Pretty quiet weekend--DH had a golf outing Sat. so DS and I went to see "Charlie's Angels" in the movie theater. I have to admit, other than the fact that I was envious of how gorgeous they all looked-I really enjoyed the movie. It was just a pure for fun movie, no thinking required--I needed that. Yesterday DS/DH went golfing and then went and did "guy" things--looking at new hubcaps for a possible birthday gift for DS next week. I miss the days of Legos believe me! While they were gone I did my Body Flex and 3 loads of laundry--it just doesn't get any more exciting than that.
Today will be spent staining and polyurethaning a door for the furnace room down in the basement. We finished off a family room down there 2 years ago, but haven't managed to get that door done....so, I'm going "nudge" DH along a bit by having it all prepped and ready to go. Other than that the usual housework--DS has football/basketball this a.m. from 6:00-10:00 and then we are going to watch his game tonight at 5:30. Hope it doesn't get too hot today.

Okay everyone-have the best Monday that you can!

*PS Sad to hear that Katherine Hepburn passed away--seems we've been losing a lot of the great stars lately.

Where the heck is everybody? Must be a long weekend.
We had a very warm Saturday and Sunday but thunder yesterday and off and on rain today.
Nice and cool so what did Linda do? Baked chocolate chip cookies...what else? LOL Ate a bunch of them too, dang it. They are now going directly into the freezer and forgotten.
Today is our #1 daughter's 37th birthday. Gosh, I feel old! She's busy today so I will be seeing her tomorrow. I will give her her prezzies and she will give me a new perm as the last one didn't take very well. Then we'll go out for lunch.
Tomorrow is Canada Day but I doubt if that will keep my hubby away from his work so we have no specific plans. Wednesday, back on the Beach for me.

I have been busy all day--honest! I steam cleaned the crapet this afternoon and this morning I had a doc's appointment in Orillia. So I haven't really had a chance to sit down!

Linda, sorry about the choc chip cookie incident--hate when that happens!

Annie, hoe your son wins his game

Hiya Ruthie!

Happy canada day- Linda, Ruth and Pooky!

Stopping in to say hi, waiting for DH to get home from work, so we can go to bed. I am so tired I could fall asleep at the computer screen...
Worked painting more at the house, I think that is how I will spend tomorrow, too, so I'll spare you the details! It is coming out well, though.
Eating is great as I don't want to cook and made big bowls of egg salad, tuna salad and a london broil, ready to snack on. With some sliced salami, cheese and supermarket shrimp cocktail ring, I have tons of snacks.
I am hoping tomorrow will be cooler, it was very muggy and hot here today.

HI LURKERS!

dottie

Hi,
I'm trying the low carb thing with my husband. My appetite is down, I don't see the numbers moving, but I know I'm eating less and the cravings are cut in half.
It is nice to be back to 3fatchicks
