Well, the Reality Fairy visited me last night. She brought a tummy ache, a bit of nausea and a slight case of the runs. I must confess I've been pushing the envelope on this so-called low carb version of WW. Too many extras have been sneaking in. Last night I munched away on croutons (!) while watching Hillary on Larry King Live. How dumb is that? The croutons, I mean. Hey what the heck is it with King and his steroid shoulders with the wide braces? He looks weird anyhow and that getup makes hime even more strange.

Anyhow the Reality Fairy removed the LC/WW spell and I am back on a purer low carb. I am still sniffing around the South Beach Diet but will do Atkins for two weeks. I doubt that I'll drop 10 pounds because of messing around so much with different "plans" but it's worth a try.

I did work in a bit of gardening yesterday - the cukes are planted - but had to stop because DH decided to burn a pile of clippings and smoked me out! Grrrr! Oh well, at least he did something out there. I met a guy in the store yesterday who said "Your husband must really put in a lot of work on your garden". I nearly kneed him!

Had a bit of a shocker yesterday when I went to check my front porch. The damned squirrels or chipmunks have been digging in my beautiful boxes! I re-planted stuff but still! Today I tackle that problem with mothballs, blood meal and fox urine, if I can get it. We'll have a stinky front porch but those tree rats are not going to get the better of me.

OK - get going. Haircut in town this afternoon and I still have not got all the summer things out of storage.

Summer is half here!! DD is done school and had a sleepover last night, with a bday party today. DS has his "graduation" (from his preschool) today and I didn't have to be out of the house by 7:15am this morning to make it all work!

Now if I could only set up the coffee maker ahead of time (it has a timer but I'd have to think more than 10 minutes ahead)

Janice I will say that although my SH has his moments (some times they seem way to frequent) His fantisies always are in the screen or on the paper. I have not a fear of them in the flesh. (he would definatley be dead if that were the case, but I am not sure that i feel better by being thrown over for the imangination rather than flesh)

as for the kids I feel for you. the kids here do similar but not as much as a grand take. they bought the puter with 1/2 of my money (I will pay you back when the tax check comes back) another 220 for insurance when they needed to get the newer car, another 180 for over drawing of the bank. And all this is to be paid back with the 125 tax check. Well that check came back and i asked for some and it still is not in my hands. I even over drew my accont last week 5 times for 125 in bank fees (How dumb can I be I paid a bill and I forgot about an auto withdrawn that came in and bam!!) They knew about it but what did I get- a bunch of garbage thrown on the floor that came from wrapers that they had bought new things for. I just peeked into the bathroom and I saw a huge pile of clothes as tall as me (NOT KIDDING) of dirty clothes. Guess who pays for all the electricity water laundry soap and everything???? Yea I feel for you with your anger.

I have been working for the last 3 days, and well, the house was in fair shape on sat night when I blew and today I have comapny coming over in 1 1/2 hours and the whole house is trashed!! I was too tired last night to even speak let alone clean!!!

well that is enough bitc#### I had better get things done NOW

Rainy rainy day again today(when will it ever be sunny?) and I have a few minutes before dropping dd off at preschool. KFS, dd has her preschool grad next week, I can hardly wait!

Found out last night that my aunt's dad (she's married in to my uncle) passed away. Funeral was Monday and I know that she's having a rough time of it. She comes from a family of 12 (!!!) siblings yet she's the one that has lived close enough to take care of her dad and mom in their old age. He had been in a nursing home for over a year due to a series of strokes and really, it was all just a matter of time. May have to get her a card and a phonecall.

Sue, glad the war is over--I personally hate it when dh and I fight.

Ruth, when you go to the hairdressers, ask them for a bag of hair or bring your own. Enough to put ontop of the dirt of all your planters. This worked for me, kept out the squirrels and keeps the cats out of your garden. (I put it all around the pond to keep the neighbourhood cats from getting to close and getting my fish)

Dyan, I did the dish soap thing, and Ive been using head and shoulders...I dont know why, but it always faded out my hair colour before. But it looks a tad better today. Hopefully a few more days, and I wont look like one of them goth girls

HI!! My meeting with the BS man was canceled after I fecieved the call lthis am from last night that he was coming an hour early then i got the one saying he was cancelling as he was sick. Thank God for small favors!!!

Fight with DS1 again this morning. What a way to get the anger rolling, but then I got the kitchen clean in record time sat down to eat breakfast and promptly fell asleep for 1 hour!! (I guess I needed that)

I did my hair color the other day and tried to do the one with the blond streaks in it but it did not work DD1 did not put it on thick enough. so now I need to get mre highlighting and do it my self. HRUMPH!!

Pooky I to hate when the fights goes on. but some times it has to be done. then he is great for a week or two then slips down but it usually is a while before he gets too bad. I usally do have to blow every once in a while to get things off the shoulders. It usually happens when money is tight and when I am over worked or very depressed about my self and my looks. (3 of the 3 this time) BUT the make up is very good!!

I've found a way to make a fortune, I'm going to clone my husband.

Yesterday he called me at work just to tell me he loved me, he did the laundry before I got home, he ran some errands for me, and I was checking on a item on e-bay that I had casually mentioned the night before and found out he already bid on it. (I'll have to act suprised when he gives it to me). He even fixed dinner while I was doing homework.

I need to go on vacation without him more often, or, the other shoe is going to fall at any minute, I'm not sure which.

So, when we deal with MamaJ's SHDH, we can clone Jeff, send him to all the women we know, gradually do away with all the SHs and eventually take over the world. Sounds like a plan for world peace to me.

Dyan I am all for that purchase. My DH is a good guy, but it would be nice to be treated like a queen onve in a while.
My pup (old girl) is fine. The toumor is cancerous. I have to wait for the biopsy to come back to see what kind and how invasive. But she is her usual perky self with a lovely bikini wax.

we endend up with a sleepover here last night. We went to the pool for the first time and the kids had a ball!
Little man is on a field trip to the childrens museum today and older boy is is at the same birthday party as KFS DD. accually she is going to get older boy for me snd we will meet later.

Tomorrow Older boy and DH are going to space camp with 4 other friends and the dads! I have a sleep over here for little man. I wish I had been smart enough to work out a mini vaccation for him so I might have had a little girly time.....

Can some one call me STUPID please???

I know I could not resist when she said why but I am working now 20 hour of OT this week when all is said and done. I just agreed to work 11p - 7 a this pm as the usual gal her mom passed thia am. I know it is for a great reason but I am tired I sat down to eat and fell asleep for an hour today. I have one of the gals coming in at 5 to help which will be great maybe i will not have to do so much but it still will be taxing. the other choice is a gal that has already worked all day today and has been treated for cancer and is still recovering. So tell me how I can say NO. (but that does not make me any less stupid just a softy!!!)

Sue - there's nothing wrong with being nice, or with OT, just don't wear yourself out. Let the house and family fend for themselves this week. (feed the pets though, otherwise they may starve.)

I got some sleep today. I layed down at 6 and with a few interuptions slept till 9. not bad. feel good and have dinner ready for when i get hungry pepers and kilebasa. I am going to leave early and have a salad at McD's (My new fav thing) with an extra chicken. I will have grilled chicken this time instead of the crispy although it was very good. shirt is drying or I would be gone by now. have a great day and ignore any thing I say in the monring I will be too tired to think.

DH was really understanding at this. given the circumstances who wouldn't. we are going to go to Binghamton in the morning on friday.
