I am excited to have 2 days off!! I am up early as this tiff with SH is still on. I had to laugh yesterday.

For those that had not read earlier not only have I been having him expect me to do everything in the house while he goes off fishing but he also has been looking at the bad sites on the net. Well I pulled a fast one on him last night. I pulled the browser security up and blocked all sites that may contain any sex, violence and anything else then I left the hosue not telling him where I went. (the kids were at the park.) I got home and the modum was all disconnected. Last time I did that he took my computer for 2 weeks. But he knew better than that this time I would have killed him. But bottom line he is still in the dog house and I am starting to make him feel guilty!!! (It did not block just the bad sites I put the controls so strict it blocked everything!!! ) Yea i know why do i not just talk to him?? well the SH blockes me out saying I have too much imangination, I am just too sensitive, I have nothing to worry about, and locks the door so I can not talk to him, and turnes the TV up. I have decided to start the cold war!! it may take longer but it does work. MMMMM does any one have any extra blankets?? it is getting below freezing in my bedroom!!

well today I am still home but I know it is still an hour before the next shift has to work. I have no clean uniforms either!! I do know who is covering my floor this day.

I have tons of things to do like clean the house (the part that DH did not do this weekend) I have laundry to do and several other things, sort my AVON, and get the bills out. I have the dairy Parade tonight which me and the boy scouts are walking in. 1 mile down and then back so I will get my exercise in. Not the kind I want but exercise just the same. i also need to sew the last 3 uniform tops that were never sewn they are cut out and redy for 10 months now.

You know some times I wonder if working is all worth it, but when i see the smile of my residents and if I have a day off they tell me they miss me and nothing goes right when I am not there. I get the cute smile and am called santy clause! (one of my cuties) I also have the director of nursing who also puts in mega hours, she is an over qualified nurse who is fantastic. she cries over the patients, when they start to go bad. has come in many times when she is off just to start an IV (she is fantastic for that) worries incessently abut the patients. then she always thanks me continiously for what I do. so how can I not give my 110% to these folks. I get frusterated when other people do not care or when SH razzes me and tells me just leave. "What did you get fired you are home early." Do they not understand??? I come home with my guard up and in defence mode that I prickel when I walk in the door. I am not a nurse because I do not care I am a nurse becasue I care!!!

Well I guess I get on my soap box quite a bit this am. teaches me right to start to clean before i post!!!

Wow, Sue! You are one great woman! Toughness and compassion are a great combination. Hugs and kudos to you.

K144s, I wish you and that cute little furry KFS a good girl day in Boston. One of these days I'll get there. I bet you do more than window shop.

I must explain about the dumb Bingos. I do not play and never have played the game. The Ag Society is a group of charity organizations that runs them as in sell the cards and distribute the prizes. I must admit part of my problem is seeing folks spend so much money on gambling when I know they are on social assistance and probably should be using the money for other stuff. In the other hand, who am I to judge?

Anyhow, yesterday worked out fine. Seven of us arrived only to find another group from another charity was already there and started! Our license was issued May 15 and theirs was newer but we let them have the Bingo. It seems the paid staff goofed in setting up the schedule! It was a gorgeous day so we all agreed to toddle off back to our "normal" lives. (We went out to Swiss Chalet for lunch and then shopped.)

Kevin came and finished the vanity installation, Gail did her usual super cleaning job and Harry BBQ'd salmon skwers for dinner with baby spinach. Monday was a good day after all.

I'm out to the garden shortly. I'm really hoping my neighbour will till for me today if it's dry enough. My replacement morning glory seeds have sprouted and I also have some snaps from Lurker Lorraine that need to go in.

Have a great day, chickies! And strut your stuff!

I am starting to get things in order here. Just had a talk with DS1's teacher (after a huge fight getting off to school today) and it seems that she is in agreement with me that some thing has to be done. I will not tolerate a child that screams at me and fights to get homework done. he has a paper on the counter for 2 weeks now that need to get done and he told me today that it was just notes that ddid not need anything done with it. Not so said the teacher. she finally believes me that he needs some thing. I am looking into the STAR progam (it is a program for kids that either give school a hard time or home) they go into what is nicly termed a controlled setting and the kids have a boot camp like situation where they are not allowed to yell or talk back to the parents or teachers and if home work is not done they are in big trouble. the have to dress a certain way, and are not allowed to deviate at all. they toe the line with no excuses and if I get lip all i have to do is call them and they will deal with him.

this child is exceptionally bright but will not sit down to do his work. i fight for hours with him to get home work done and some times find it hidding in the laundry room or behind the coat rack or even in the car under the seat and even whe it is done he still forgets to turn it in. his temper tantrums are getting more and more violent with throwing things and screamming uncontrolled. So I hope that this will help. I am worried as Ben who is my mild mannered one is starting to show the same problems with attitude (but not the home work thing) I want to stop this before it gets further.

Yea I do have problems here. No help from the other half, except more problems.

any one want 2 18 year old kids???

how about a 14???

how about a 10???

for now I will keep the 8!! but that will last only about a year then I will be willing to give him up too!!!

how about a DH that does not like to stand up to these kids??? (he has his own problems too) like fishing all the time and sitting on his butt, and the internet. other than that he does work hard at work and does not drink, nor crouse with "live women".

Geez it dounds like I am in rough shape. it usualy does not all fall at one time but this week it is. but I am standing up to it. now if only I can get though this with staying OP!!!!

for today while i have my sanity i will get some things done. clean laundry and try to weed the garden a bit and even see if i can plan some flowers!!! theraputic work!!!

Hey gals!

Nasus sorry your havin such a rough week! I will be sure to send a prayer out for your sanity. But my DH got caught on the internet too, and I too changed the settings but like you said, I could not even access Bank One Online, I mean what is up with that? So now he has to get me to put in the password, and he understands and does not get mad. He rarely uses the internet he was doing some research and that stupid man section on the front page is what catches his eye, he was like I am reading the news, I am like go to CNN.com if you want the news. But all is well now. So just put on some soothing music and enjoy your day, even if its housework.

Okay gals, I have an issue, Just let me know if I am being silly (I tend to do that, and then worry) I have weighed myself for 3 days no movement, but this morning I am up .5 lbs?!!! What's up with this? I have not been eating over my carbs and in fact eat less than 20 on most days??? Is this normal>????? Should I not pester myself thinking this is not working? I mean if it were Aunt Flo visiting I would be like yeah that is it. But she's not! In fact, her cousin Ovulation is here, Could that be it? Please let me know so I may relax at camp. The only thing different I ate was those Atkins bars (Yum) 1 a day. ...and that sugar breaker cheesecake on Sataurday, I hope that lady did not set me up! (oh, well enough babbling, some imput would be nice)

L1445, Have fun "window" shopping

Hello Ruthxx, I feel the same about bingo!

Well getting to work now, see ya

Default Morning Chickies!!

Well it is a rainy 54 degrees here today, I am sitting huddled at my computer with a blankie and I don't wanna go anywhere today!
But of course I have too!
I finaaly got my walk in last night-1 and 1/2 miles of combo walking and jogging-I heard that if you jog in short spurts to get your heart rate up it increases you fat burning potential-well I need all the potential I can get!

((((SUE))))-- Believe me I know all about the cold war! I live it once every coupla months in my own house....can't we all just get along? How old is the son you are having trouble with? Does he play off you and SH fighting? Some kids get worse when there is tension in the house-I know you already know all that....just wondering what age you are dealing with.

wantheoldme--some people find that those bars make all the difference-some actually have gained weight and had to give them up until later stages in their programs. I say quit obsessing over the scale, and know that all of our weight fluctuates, and .5 of a pound is not enough to get your panties in a wad over! Really-it could be water weight and you might experince the almighty SWOOSH of weight loss in the next week--so chill out girlie and enjoy your camping!!

Anyone read the Susan Somers book? I got it last night at the library, and just am not real impressed-I checked it out for the recipes, and decided to see how she differed from Atkins-well in my opinion the only difference is she is really pushing her product-it is almost disgusting...you can tell where her priority is! I never got that feeling reading Atkins--anyone else?

Well-probably ought do something around here don't really want to today as it is rainy and gloomy!

See ya all

The little twit is only 10!! tough age trying to be grown up but not quite even close!!!

As far as not allowing the net I am gone too much and he uses it to look up things for fishing (not that I approve but that is his harmless sort of vice) and I do use it constantly so I can not block him like that, it being a double standard. I would not have such affence of he was nice to me when he did that but he ignores me and then gets angry when things are not done nor does he participate in "fathering" the children. ( did tell him to grow up and be a father to his children!! )

Miss D it is fluid drink drink and then drink more then it will all fall off!!! and more too!

to take on .5 lb it could be just a retention of only 1 cup of water

to gain .5 lbs of fat you need to take in 7000 cals over your usage

Good afternoon everyone

Went to the drop in center this mrning for our usual fun and games. I have dribs and drabs of laundry to do but I think I am going to make my way outside and finish weeding out the perennial bed. I have some nice plants I bought at Home Depot I need to get in the ground. I am actually considering giving Home Depot a call since I want to get one of their shrubs called a Burning Bush--glorious red leaves and would look amazing at the end of the perennial bed. They didn't have any in stock yesterday but I was told they would have more in this week. Can't wait!

Sue ((HUGS)), I know you do the best you can juggling family and work but I hope you take some time for yourself to recover from the madness Remember the teen years are hard and whne they finally all grow up and leave the house you'll wonder why it's so quiet!

Robin, I need to paint my house too and I was thinking of calling College Pro painters--you know the students who do it? My house is HUGE and to paint it myself would take months. You are truly my hero!

wanttheoldme, Miss is right, avoid the bars since that is what may very well be stalling you out! An do keep drinking a ton of water, eventually the whoosh will come

Miss, way to go staying OP! I know it's been a real struggle for ya and just think--you've come so far and doing it the right way!

L and KFS, enjoy the shopping trip

Rachel, HB to your ds! Enjoy the party

Ruthie, glad you had an unexpected day off

Have a great day everyone!
