Hi,

I'm really new to this program myself but I've found there are guidelines you can find at: http://atkinscenter.com/howto/phase1.html

It does state:
"Overeat. You may have heard that you can eat as much as you desire of the acceptable foods. No so. Stuff yourself with steaks and cheeseburgers, and some of that protein will convert to glucose in your body. Instead, simply eat the amount that allows you to feel satisfied. "

I've found that in the short time that I've been doing Atkins (one week) that I am satisfied with less food. Thought that I'd NEVER say that in this life. <grin>

Hope this helps till a "pro" replies.
Cheers,

Jan

Not a pro, but that never stops me from jumping in

Jan is correct about not stuffing yourself, but definitely one of the NICE things about Atkins is, if you're hungry eat! I often find myself having a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack and it's nice to be guilt-free for a change. If you don't eat when you're hungry you are more likely to overeat later or eat the "wrong" things

Just my $.02....

There is almost no way that you can eat that much food in protien or in fat. add the carbs and you will stuff to the gills.

It is self limiting. Also some find they eat to little when they are OP for a while. so you do need to keep loose tract of the amount of food you take in to see if some thng is missing, or if you are eating too little. very few people have the problem of eating too much on this diet. (although if any one can do it it is ME!!)
