Talking TGIF!! Chickie chatter

just starting us up--getting a coffee and heading right back!

---------------------------------------------------------------------->

Got coffee in hand and a quick brekkie and out to the garden to do a massive weeding. Can't believe it's May already! 10 more days till M's birthday--I can't believe she's going to be 4! (OK, yes, I officially do feel old now)

On a brighter note, I seem to have lost the 2 pounds I gained over the salt incident in the Chinese food and I'm back down to 200. Oh yes, feels good to be back in striking distance of onederland!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning and TGIF!

Hey, what's with this rain? I had a few hours of gardening scheduled for this morning before I leave for my appointments and now I'll have to just goof off and drink coffee while I wander the Net!

What a nice surprise that weigh in was, Sherrie! Things like that sure give us a lift.

And Miss D., maybe the broccoli and cheese on fitday was a different brand from yours. Sometimes there is a lot of stuff in commercial foods besides the listed veggies and cheese - like bread crumbs, flour and milk powder. If you want to use the package count, I'd say add it to your favourites on fitday and don't get freaked out.

Listen to me giving diet advice! I really have not been OP since before Easter! I've been attacked by ju-jubes, cookies, tiny cheesecakes and crackers and the scale is showing it. I did sign up for WW and have been tracking points and am way over my allowance. And then I wonder why the scale is going up!
Get with it, dummy! I doubt that buying another diet book like the SB diet is going to help. Put your money into an attitude transplant.

I am off to town later this morning for a haircut but have to go to the Doc first for a BP check. It was high last time I was there - wonder why? "Harry's tests came back malignant, Ruth. Now let me check your BP." Um......

We are off to a farewell aprty for Lisa and her family tonight. They are moving to Kenora so we probably will never see them again. Kenora is not exactly on the way to anywhere unless you want to drive across Canada. I hate to see them go as they are good friends and certainly helped me out a lot when Harry was in hospital. I hope the party is fun and not too sad.

I'm rambling. Off for another coffee and then snoop around the Net.

Have a super Friday

Hello All1
Slow start around here this morning eh?
Well DAY 5 and still OP--last night had had the serious carb cravings-I sat down with some trai bologna and cheese and warded it off-I am so glad I did not slip!
Did I mention we are going to Cedar Point Tomorrow? That is an amusement park about 3 hours away. We are driving up and back all in one day-hope the kids can handle it-they can always sleep in the car-I am sooo worried about the food situation. It really is not feasible to take much with us as it is just a day trip, I am planning on loading up on protein in the morning and pray for the best as far as lunch goes, and maybe we will be out of the park and to a restaruant for supper.

My hubby got some sad news today-One his his best friends went to Hawaii with his family-mom/dad/wife/son/sister/bf-anyway something happened to his dad yesterday abd he died down there-not sure of the details as the fellow was healthy, but something happened in the ocean-don't know if he drowned or had a heart-attack-will find out the details later-he was such a great guy though and the family was a close one-prayers would be welcome.

Well guys some house cleaning awaits-(imagine that)

Good Morning Ladies

Pooky, good for you!! See, there had to be a logical explanation Im glad for you!!

Sherry... Way to Go!!!!

MissD... prayers and thoughts for your family.

Strange but wonderful news .........anyone ever have those calloused feet that you have to sand to get them to look normal? Well, I dont know why, but just last night I noticed and realized that I didnt have trouble with my feet all winter. Usually they crack and hurt etc. My heals are smooth, and the balls of my feet look NORMAL!!! How cool is this. Im thinking its this diet Ive been on. I started in October, which is also about the time I started wearing socks and slippers....so I guess I didnt pay much attention. My feet have emerged into spring, looking pretty darn good. Strange but wonderful!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Hello, everybody. Well, ever since my WI on Wednesday with a 2 lb gain, I've been on a mini binge but today I blew it big time with a restaurant meal at Applebee's. Clam chowder and fish and chips. Then I went and bought groceries and indulged in three (count 'em THREE) chocolate bars which I polished off while watching Y&R after I got home. GAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! No sense in blowing it half way I guess. I sure did OD on sugar though which is not good for my diabetes. How dumb can I get. BUT, in the immortal words of Scarlet O'Hara "Tomorrow is another day". At least I got a nice soft perm and a good haircut out of the day. LOL Now, if the Canucks win against the Wild tonight, I will still call it a pretty good day.
