So here I am one week later. I don't know how to feel about reporting that I lost the pound that I goained last week, plus one more. So now I weigh 299... A big 12 pounds from where I started on January 1. Not exacly what I had expected. I would have liked to have lost 20 pounds by now. Oh well. I guess it's the turtles life for me. Of cource my DH is down into the 280 by now and I am so jealous. I must admit that he works out far more than I do. I only got on the treadmill once this week and that was last night. DH treadmills and works out with weights, while I sit on the couch and watch TV. What the heck is wrong with me that I so DO NOT want to excercise??? Anyway, I am feeling under the weather today, so excuse my unenthusiastic post. I hope all are doing well.

I have a treadmill that stares me in the face every time I sit down on the couch to watch TV....... please don't beat yourself up - it's just a miserable fact of life that men lose quicker than women, even if they don't work out! Give yourself a break.... ok? {{hugs}}
Perhaps we should set more realistic goals for ourselves. Then we won't be so disappointed when we don't reach them. If you've lost 12 lb since Jan 1, you are doing very well, according to all the diet experts. That works out to 6 lb a month. At that rate, in a year you'll have lost a whopping 72 lb. !! Think about it. I'd be totally thrilled. Also, consider this. Once you've lost another 20 or 30 lb, you're going to have a lot more energy and will probably feel like exercising more so that could even speed up your weight loss a bit. Something to look forward to.
) He just says "Get on the Treadmill"! Sigh...
