Well, I haven't been very actively posting for the last couple of weeks. The reason is that I got very wrapped up in my eye surgery.

I had my surgery on Friday, February 21 and I'm pleased to say I can see perfectly now!! It went so much more smoothly than I expected - I had no complications, and by day 2 could see 20/20 at least - and certainly more clearly than I ever could before the surgery, even with glasses or contacts. I wandered around my neighborhood looking at the world with new eyes. It has been a mindblowing experience and I feel very lucky that I have not had even the mildest of problems.

The bad news is that I worked myself up into such a state worrying and freaking out about the surgery that I went totally, and I mean TOTALLY off plan for about the last three weeks or so and am just now getting back on track. I've gained back 4 lbs but I have recommitted. I'm glad to be back and will be around much more.

I'm so happy that your surgery was successful, Tilly. It's truly amazing what they can do these days. I have a friend who is nearing 70 and she has had surgery in each eye and now she can see perfectly for distance and only needs drug store reading glasses. It IS like a new world opening up for you.
Good for you getting back OP before too much damage was done. You'll lose the 4 lb real quick.
