Question Looking for ketosis strips

Hello,

I am looking to buy some strips that test for ketones. Does anyone have any suggestions on brands? Can you give me a heads up on price?

Thanks

I am in Canada so the prices are different. I'll move this to the Low Carb! Forum so the USA Chicks will see it sooner and give you input. In Canada thet have to be bought at the drugstore but I think WalMart has them in the States.
By the way, welcome to the Board. You will love it here!

You can order them online from www.atkinscenter.com or www.netrition.com

I got mine at walgreens, they have them in the diet section, but they are VERY expensive. So.....go to the pharmacy and ask for them there, I paid about $15 for a jar of 50.

Cut the price in half by cutting them into two lengthwise. It works the same.

Great suggestion, Ruth! I'll try it for monitoring once I'm in ketosis (otherwise, I'll think I screwed 'em up if they keep coming out negative).

I got mine at GNC for $15 (100 strips). They had a "Low Carb Lifestyle" display right in front, with Atkins products & the strips. Forgot to look for the psyillium (sp?) husks, though. If today is any indication, I'll need them soon!
