Question too much or too little?

i use fitday.com and went over my calorie intake, i know we arent suppose to really work on that but since its going really slow for me i wanted to check out what may be wrong...
all the days we carb-erific!! no more than 20g b4 fiber.
its the calories that get me,
some days i have over 2000 some days about 1000, is this a problem?
should i try to me more consistent? i find days with beef are higher calorie days. like tonight i will have 100%beef hamburgers
on a plate with lettuce. mmmm i cant wait.
but my calories will be sky high.
does this matter with low carbs?

It matters. At least to my body {oh, BTW - Welcome! before I forget}

I wrecked my weight loss this week by only eating 900 calories yesterday. My body hates to starve. I wasn't hungry (never thought I'd say that before Atkins) so I didn't remember to eat last night. This morning I'm up a pound and a half. There's got to be some connection. The bad thing is that I know how many calories I need to eat to lose (1350-1700) and there's just some times I get careless and don't pay attention to the details. It's like I'm subconciously throwing myself off the wagon.

I'd track in fitday for a few days and see if you can establish a pattern, then adjust your eating as needed.

Default Erocka! EAT!

1000 calories a day is to low for you hon! I know it's hard to get them in there, but try! I don't remember how many calories it would take to sustain your goal weight, but I would use that as a guide for how many you should have a day...

PS - BB & I just finished up big burgers with cheese, bacon, and sauted mushrooms! That's a great way to calorie up those burgers!

I find fitday doesn't work well for me, too much work I use Atkins carb counter, you can download it from the Atkins Center website. Also....up those calories!! I have to make myself eat sometimes because my appetite has dropped significantly since the second week. I got really sick after I started induction, had steriod shots, antibodics, etc and no appetite. I spoke to a counselor at the Atkins Center and she told me that if can't eat a meal, eat something very high in fat. She suggested macadamia nuts, be sure to measure and count carbs. I thought this was an odd suggestion as the book says no nuts during induction. She told me that they only say that because most people don't measure and over do it.

I agree with Ellie. I have no appetite most days and do make myself eat. I need about 1600 calories a day to loose and have started eating nuts on induction to boost my calories. I really don't like beef, and could exist on chicken, but make myself have some every couple of days. Just make sure to count the carbs on the nuts and measure them. It is way to easy to open a bag of them and eat a cup before you know it (can speak from experience)!

thanks all for your advice.
NUTS!!! i used to eat almonds every day 1oz=22nuts=5carbs.
i counted each portion and calculated them into my daily intake of carbs. but now i just heard not to eat them during induction? i really need to get the books and stop asking silly questions.
i used to eat them to give me a healthy snack. i have stopped eating them since monday. still no loss. i am being patient, but i need results, i am sure you all went through this, please ignore my ranting :-)
i appreciate all your help. i used the calorie counter and it said to maintain my wieght goal of 165 i shoud eat about 2024 calories.
i am now inbetween 1000-1700 a day.
this is very easy to do but very frustrating.
i will get the hang of it. off to the bookstore i go.
