Good Morning Leenie and all those to come!

I think I know why everyone is away--they were all tired out from posting yesterday!

Be back in a minute, gotta go grab my coffee...

YIKES! Just had a big long post and now it's gone! Grr... hate when that happens. Busy today too but not as. Snowed last night again--snowplow driver came and cleaned us out so this snow is just a sprinkle and easy to clean. M has home lesson, haircut, swimming, Mom has phonecalls, packing, dryclean pick up. Yup, whole lotta usual..

Have a great one everyone!

Hi all, just passing through.....this wisdom tooth thing has me in a state. Went to the oral surgeon yesterday, it will be next Thursday before I can get it out. This morning, I was scratching hubby's back......hit a tickle spot, he jumped and his elbow hit me square in the jaw. OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!! It sent me running.......hubby was so upset he hurt me, I thought he was gonna cry. But, I'm a woman.......I will survive!

Welcome to all the new low-carber's. This is a great place to be. Keep posting so we can get to know you.

To everyone else

Hi Leens and Pooky! It sure was a big posting day yesterday! I still have not caught up.

Leens, I liked your post about Woman. I do have a wee bit of a problem with the word "humility", however. No kidding!

Pooky, glad you don't have snow to contend with. We finally got ploughed out on Monday when Harry finally called another "lad"! I threatened to go back to Ottawa if the lane was not cleared when I got home! Why is it so hard to pick up the phone?

I don't see Taz here as usual. I hope that's not because of sad news about her kitty. Bad weather in the Maritimes these days too.

Hey, Goomba is back!

Sherrie, I hope you are feeling good today. If I remember correctly, I felt a bit draggy with a wee bit of bleeding for a day or so. You should be back "en forme" by Monday.

LindaBC, I re-read my journal from last March when I was on Xenical and it really was not that bad. I had only two episodes of "leakage" so hang in there.

Deb-kay, I can imagine how that hurt! Did you consider Himicide?

Lunch with my sister was great! Yes, Chez Piggy is really the name of the restaurant in Kingston. We lucked out by going yesterday as it was their 24th anniversary and they had retro-prices. I couldn't believe it as it is one of the more upscale restaurants in Canada. Joan claims lunch was so cheap she owes me another one. (I was good, by the way - a Thai salad with gorgeous shrimp on greens, a Caesar [the drink] and a cappuchino.) We did a bit of a downtown shop and I bought myself a wreath of twigs, kitty willows and small green leaves.
I must take a picture of it for RobinH and her shop.

Later today I am taking everything out of my closet and taking a long hard look at what I wear and don't wear. I keep putting off buying new stuff until I "lose some weight" but time is up. There is stuff in there that I just don't feel "right" about. It all fits and some of it is even a bit big but it's time for ruthless clean out!
Does FlyLady do closets? Can you Chicks relate?

Haircut this morning and lunch in town with Harry on a Christmas 2001 gift certificate for Eastside Marios. Pray for me! It seems that Harry wants to go out for lunch the day after I've just been out with a girlfriend.

Gotta get cracking. Will check in later after my third "city" experience of the week. I am getting soooo cosmopolitan!

Morning, should say Good Noonish, it is now 12:24 very cold and I am on my third cup of coffee. Dear chicks it is my day off so I had a wonderful sleep in, I have some work done and some more work to be done around the house. Miss I know what you are saying, we have a wood stove in the front room so I get wood dust everywhere and now is the time it must be cleaned.
Thank you to all, my Lucy is doing much better,A friend will listen to your deepest hurts and feel they are hers too. When I came home from work yesterday she came to meet me. Long story short, called vet, explained what a nasty girl she is,[bites, scratches,]put her on 81mil asprin every other day x3. I think she sprained a hind leg when she jumped off of the bed? If she still hurts next week, we will take her to vet. I love this cat, would give up my house for her. I went to TOPS last night I only lost 1/4 of a pound and all I could think of was that I know that I cried 25 pounds of tears yesterday???
Yea a tickle spot WTG,Deb.
Boy Pooky, you are a busy person.
Well to all to come I must say how are we going to keep up with that cosmo girl Ruth, the city 3x's? I havn't been to the city 3x's in the last 5 years, my life I thought was busy with this being the first week in the month, Fire meeting Mon,Aux. meeting Tue[cancelled because of ice storm]Tops meeting Wed. now Aux. meeting tonight, and I wanted to get groceries tonight.
Well my house dust is calling, will be back much later as I have an appointment with a tredmill and some dusting and make a plan woe, leaning more weight watchers, and then make supper.
love Tazcat

Good afternoon everyone.!
Not having a great day today so I will try to make this quick. Hubby and I have been on a waiting list for an infertility clinic and got the call last night about an appointment. It took 6 years, 60pounds gained and the pregnancy from **** to get our little boy so we decided to get help the next time around. I keep thinking that I will wait to I am in better shape to try again but I know hubby would like to get started. There is only a year between him and his sister and he wants our kids to be close in age too. Morning sickness does not sound that inviting again though!

Ruth I don't envy your closet clean out. I did so about a month ago. My sister in law came and helped (mostly herself!) but it was still hard. I still have clothes from high school that just don't want to leave.
Hope you all have a great day. I am off to keep thinking...

Default H Chicks

Guess I'll say Good Noon too. But, alas, I didn't get to sleep in. I had kickboxing this am. I'm starting to see small improvements in my stamina. Still on my week of evening shifts, so no real plans besides work and kickboxing.

taz Hooray for Lucy!

Ruth I would love to help you with your closet. I like doing that job but I've had no reason to do it for a long time. 10 more pounds and I will have to do it though.
Eastside...oh yum! There are none in Winnipeg and I miss it!!
Good thing though because pasta would be hard to resist.

Tammy That's quite a decision to make. I'm happy that my kids were close in age (2.5 yrs). My sister ended up with a 7 year gap. Yikes! The kids are close but it's more of a parent child relationship then sister brother.

Happy Cannuck Welcome. You'll get your resolve back as soon as you are up and at em again. I'm getting surgery in May so I'm a little afraid of falling off the wagon.

MamaJ Hoping a lot of sunshine comes into your life today. Hang in there.

Hello to everyone. Gotta get ready to drive.

Well, I don't know what's been going on in my head the last couple of days. After my bout of diarrhea due to Xenical, I have been on a junk food spree (but no Xenical). I found some chocolate from Christmas and scarffed it down and I've been eating salted nuts as if there were no tomorrow. In my head I know I have to get myself back on track and the sooner the better....but that little devil who is always lurking around keeps telling me to stuff my face.
I'm very discouraged. Atkins doesn't seem to be working for me and certainly not with Xenical. The 5 lb I lost in early January was probably just the excess fluids I'd been retaining. Since then, NADA.
Anyhow, glad to hear the kitty is feeling better.
Ruth, I'm so jealous that your dh even wants to go out with you. The thought would never enter Peter's head unless we had guests.
It's a gorgeous spring-like day here. Still cool but above freezing and nice and sunny. It's supposed to last through the weekend so I'm hoping to buy some stuff to spray on our fruit trees and get that done before the weather changes back to our usual rain.

Angry Good evening, I guess

Do you all eat only 20 carbs a day, or do some of you do more and still diet? I am finding that after staying on the Induction with Atkins for a couple of months, I am getting tired. I don't know if the secret is to add a few more carbs or cut back on some. I know I have added a few more than allowed in the Induction but not many.

Glad the cat was ok for now. Hope she doesn't have to go to the vet.

I live in Western Canada, in Alberta. The weather here is nothing short of fantastic. Of course, this will NOT help with the drought we are into. It looks like it will continue. Hardly any snow this winter at all, and today it is melting. Some strange weather from a country where 20-30 below is normal during the winter! It is about 36 degrees out there today.

Hey ya'll! Stayed in bed all day, feel like crap. Just cooked dinner, hamburgers with ranch dressing mixed in. YUCK! Too mushy, don't know how to fix that. Anyway, tasted good, don't mind the texture!

Hope you are all having a great day, I'm going to take a shower and go back to bed. This invalid stuff is for the birds!

Well I guess it will be my job to tuck you all in to your warm little beds each night. Dont worry I wont sing, God forbid I do that, you will all think your smoke detectors are going off and run naked from your homes!!! lol

Thank you all for the warm welcome back .. I needed it! Oh and Pooky dont ever think your words would offend me ... But I will tell you that I have taken steps to regain my saninty!! I demanded to have a Child Care Worker come into my home to watch the kids!! So now I get 6 hours a week PER kid!! So that means if I have four kids, thats a full 24 hours a week that I can chop up anyway I please!! YAHOO!! Only problem that I have been having is finding things to do I have continued to persue my interest in quilting .. but the classes I am interested in always seem to get cancelled due to lack of interest .. go figure. So I have embarked on a photo quilt to give to my parents on their 50th wedding anniversary. I have been toying with the idea of joining a gym .. I have never done this before and I think my anxiety about seeing all the little tight bodies fluttering around the gym makes it difficult for me. But I have to move it to lose it so tomorrow I want to go and check out the YMCA and one of the womens only fitness clubs .. just to take a look. It's so hard to find activities to do in the winter months .. I skidoo on weekends when I can but **** that just gives my butt a good shake As for the other winter sports most involve snow .. that we dont have much of. I hit the hill sliding with some of the kids .. they think Im nuts .. one kid had never gone sliding before. Any suggestions that dont have huge price tags attached to them?? Im game for anything about now.

Tazcat when I read your post about your cat I could sympathize with the fear and concern you had for your little one. I was so pleased to see that all is well with Lucy. I myself have six cats all of whom are getting up there in age with the exception of one. Two of them are disabled, Taz, has difficutly with balance due to brain damage .. and Goomba (affectionatly called Baby G) was born with a deformed leg. Cats will amaze you with what they can do and overcome!

Tammy good luck with your decision .. I know the end results will be well worth the effort
