I just got done reading all the posts from the last few days and you all seem like such a wonderful group over here! I'm starting Atkins and my boyfriend is thinking of starting it once he's read the book. I've read it and I'm ready. I've done WW so many times without success I feel like I could scream and I just want something to work. Anyway, I may need some guidance and may ask some silly questions but you all seem like just the right thing for me! Here's a quick run down of who I am, you may not want to let me in over here once you've read the gory details , hehe!

I'm 28 years old
I have a 7 year old daughter
I have the best guy in the world who teaches special education
I am a polysomnograph technician (sleep study technician)
I work 3 nights a week (12 hour shifts)
I want to lose 30 pounds
I love to read, camp, and be with my family

That's me in a nutshell, hope to get to know all of you!

I had to kind of chuckle at the remark about never meeting a Sam who wasn't fabulous. I used to teach ballroom dancing and I did a big swing lesson at a bar on tuesday nights. Well the bar decided to make up flyers to promote the lessons and they billed me as the fabulous Samantha (last name). Boy, you talk about a lot to live up too! One can only be fabulous so many times and then they get to know you, haha! My friends still tease me about those silly flyers! But I will try my darndest to live up to the name
