I'm well slept and now I'm ready to join the world once again. Yesterday was a terrible day. It started at 5am and went south from there. I'm think I'm on a bad luck streak. Started with Miree throwing up, then the dog barking her silly head off and wouldn't be calmed no matter what we did, then I broke a tall lamp, then thinking it was just the bulb I plugged it back in and blew a fuse for the room--the room the computer is in, then I get a call from dh and he ditched the car (thank God not hurt!), broke the bumper, rammed into someone's fence and it's going to cost me $800 to fix the car and we're still waiting to hear from the guy about his fence. This all before 9 am. The rest of the day has been me and dh trying to fix the problems all day. Parts have been ordered for the car for Monday (thankfully we can still drive it!), the fuse was repaired by late this afternoon (the fuse box is mislabelled and I can't even begin to understand the thing!), lamp is sitting in the basement and we are using our table lamp, accident recorded at the cop shop, and Mireee stopped throwing up and ate some macaroni for dinner! So what does all this mean? It means I was very tired by the time I had to go to bed but mostly grateful that it was working itself out. If there was ever a day for Murphy's Law...

Haven't stepped on a scale and my eating has been piecemeal at best. I don't over eat and I'm not constantly eating, just eating to exist, know what I mean? And no, it hasn't been entirely OP but I'm not too concerned since I am still eating OP meals when I make them.
Deb and Ruth, merging? So does that mean it's DebkayRuthxx or RebkayDuthxx?

Deb, I'm so sorry to hear about yet another one of your friends. ((hugs))
Ruth, take it easy on that wrist! Hope the Bingo went OK.

Jenny! How is a Superbowl party quiet?

Happy Anniversary Leenie!!
Mis, can you use that recipe with macadamia nuts? Dr. Atkins says they are the lowest in carbs and I usually ahve a can of them with me at all times to snack on

Robin, it's always the same here in Bracebridge--after all we're in the heart of cottage country and the economy relies on tourists! There's hardly a soul to be found on the main street in winter, so the stores are really empty. Any way you can consider closing down for a month to cut costs? My SIL's parents run a gift store in Fenelon Falls and that's what they do.
Dyan, that's so true about pg young women! My 19 year old cousin was 5 months pg when she found out--because the baby kicked her!
OK Linda, now I'm going to have to try the cocoa! Mmmmmm...
Oh Dottie, just enjoy the silence this weekend! Who ever said January was slow?
SHERRIE! Way to go!!
You have a right to feel proud!
Hiya Jiff and Peachie!

Have a good day everyone!

I am so jealous...I mean proud!!!! What a great feeling that must be.....
I think we are winding down with this babysitter/housekeeper - we have had her 2 years and she is deteriorating in performance - I have tried to talk to her but to no avail and she did not even call and say she was not coming yesterday....I am at a loss....she is costing a small fortune and I have spent the better part of the morning cleaning the house - which is her job. SOOOOO I am not happy!!!!
