Karen, I'd suggest you read a few of the books on different plans, particularly if the idea of eating higher fat scares you. (We do need 20 to 30 grams of fat per day to utilize the minerals and vitamins in our foods.) I see you are on Weight Watchers who do have a higher protein and lower carb option after 6 weeks. You might want to check it out.

Low carb can range from 20 carbs per day on Atkins to about 100 on some of the other LC plans. I think most dieticians recommend 60% of your calories come from carbs. That is NOT considered Low Carb!

Well I am not doing weight watchers anymore but its not all fat I wont use, I allow 30 grams a day to come from my dairy and all that I just meant that I dont like high fatty foods like cheese sauces , ribs, and other non carb sources that pack a wallop in the fat and sat. fat department. But 100 grams a day sounds ok!

Look into Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program by Dr. (s) Richard and Rachel Heller. The plan is basically 2 low carb meals a day and one "reward" meal, where you eat a balanced meal of equal portions of one veggie, one carb, and one protein. This plan may seem more liveable for you. You can check out the book at your local library to see if you like it
