Ruth, thank you for the link. I had to go to bed halfway through the show, but taped the rest. One thing I have to say is that I can't stand how Larry King interrupts people all the time. I almost felt he was bullying Dr. Atkins at times. I wonder if he feels defensive because of his own heart surgery?

I thought Dr. Atkins did very well and you notice there was no real negative feeling about the piece. Some of the callers answered my own questions, like the reflux question. I have no doubt that this diet, or a modified form of it, is the one for me for life!!

Did you hear the guy from Pensacola?? Kept trying to recognize the voice, to no avail. I wish we had a local support group. I know that there are other LC'ers down here, my LC gummy bears are always out of stock.

I watched the program and was very impressed with the good doctor's patience with the silly questions from Larry. I had to laugh when the WW rep. called and tried to challenge Dr. Atkins. Sounded like she was running scared. He really wasn't able to give much attention to each caller. YOu notice none of them were allowed much of a response once they'd asked their initial question. Too bad he doesn't have his own weekly tv show.

Best thing I learned from the transcript is that he eats Macadamia nuts--went out and bought myself a can to eat at work.
