Hello Everyone. I just registered. My friend who belongs to this sight recommended I come here and I have enjoyed reading the last few days. I have been on induction since Jan 1 and I am doing great. My husband started on Christmas day. My main reason for trying again is that I have Fibromyalgia and CFS and I am feeling better on the low carbs.
My only problem is that i am really sick right now with sinus infection, cold and laringitis so needless to say I am forcing myself to eat. Is it ok to take chicken noodle soup or the sort and drain everything except the broth and eat that right now? Are there any others that are good for when you are sick.
thanks a lot
Donna

If you're having just chicken broth Iwould say it isn't enough. I would boil a chicken leg, strip off the meat and add some celery, bit of onion, some broccoli or cauliflower or both if you like them and eat that. Have a big pot of it simmering on your stove and that way you can dip in when you're hungry. You need the protein and veggies. Avoid the package/canned stuff, they are LOADED with carbs (even just the broth!). Hope this helps you!
Thank you Pooky. I didnt realize that just the broth itself had carbs. Well, I didnt feel like going all out to make soup so I ended up having hard boiled eggs and ate a bunch of little things throughout the day. One thing that really felt good was taking about 6oz of heavy cream adding some splenda and about 6 oz of water. It tastes like a vanilla milkshake.
Thanks a lot

try to add a few eggs just drop then (cracked open like making poached eggs) and scrabling a bit as they are cooking. that will help get more intake and protien in so you will get healthy faster. just stick to clear broth if you are puking though.
