Hi all!! We are back from Virginia visiting relatives. We left early, early on the 26th. I have lots of catching up to do.

Pooky I did gather Rosie is missing......how awful!! I hope you find her soon.

Janice I saw your thread........like I said, warm fuzzy hugs for you.

Yesterday was my oldest son's 22nd birthday........we came home yesterday so we could take him out for dinner, but he decided he wanted to go with his girlfriend and friends. I can't believe this child is 22, I remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. Boy time flies!!

I see there are a couple of new people posting.....Welcome!!

Doggie is standing here with crossed legs and I need more coffee. I'll check in later.

Debbie

Default just a quick good morning...

have to finish getting ready for work. it'll be a short day. but i always figure why bother????

But i do have a few things to clear up.

one of the trainers at the gym has had her eye on me, and when she saw me last night, she ran for her appt book, and we're scheduled for next wednesday. she barely comes up to my shoulder, i doubt that she weighs 100 pounds, and she is SOLID MUSCLE with the softest brown eyes and a soul of iron. and she's a certified elementary school teacher on top of it!

and the two of us just chatter away!!! she said that as soonas we met [when i was thinking about joining and wanted to talk with a trainer], she wanted to help me. isn't that nice? she liked my stubbornness, she said

no new year's eve plans...,

hope you all have a wonderful new year, and may next year bring you much happiness and health.

Talking Happy New Year

Hello all! It's the newbie!

Well, Today is the last carbo-day for my DH and I. We start Atkins Induction tomorrow. I pray that this works for us. We will be weighing in, taking measurements, and photos I will share my "Stats" as soon as I have them, firghtning as they may be. I have well over 100 pounds to loose...

I have been browsing your threads and you have lead me to Atkinscenter.com and fitday.com. Two wonderful sites, I thank you.

Everyone have a safe and happy New Year, and here's to "A Smaller Me in 2003"!
Cheers,
GinaMarie

A late good morning to all - we are in holiday mode and breakfast is really late these mornings. Back on track on the 2nd!

Hi GinaMArie and welcome to the best Forum on the 3FC site. You will like it here.

Scooby, you must drive the way I do. I've not had a ticket for a few years but sure have deserved many.

Jiff, I wish I could get some of your motivation to exercise. It just seems like I can't get started! Maybe I need a brain transplant. Your trainer sounds wonderful - soft eyes and determination!

Debkay, sounds like a good trip. I looked at my son the other day and thought OMG, he's 39! He is still a kid in my eyes despite the good job and the mortgage free house.

Taz, it is almost balmy here today - 3C and the rain last night melted away that white stuff. I think we will have more by the weekend but we'll try to keep it here.

Janice, I read your yesterday post and really don't know what to say, I am so shocked. I know you are one tough lady and will come out of this mess OK. Keep strong and keep your self respect. (If you want a Chick posse, let us know!)

Pooky, I am thinking about how you must miss Rosy. Let's hope that she turns up once the holiday fuss is over. Libby got "lost" one winter night and came home at 5:30. We found out later she had visited a Christmas Party in the neighbourhood.

I'm feeling a bit lazy today but intend to do some "fall" cleanup outdoors. It didn't get done because of my wrists and because DH is very lazy when it comes to things like putting away potting stuff. The temperature is well above freezing so it won't be a cold miserable job. I also plan to work on my jig-saw puzzle (thanks again, LindaBC), and then decide which one to do next. MEW sent me 10!

The sewingroom door was left open last night to warm it up (no heat in there) so I may shorten the sleeves on a velvet tuxedo-style jacket to wear to the Party tonight. I dress for New Year's Eve - pearls, black velvet and cleavage! Not everyone does. I think it's great that folks can party in relaxed clothes but hey! It's New Year's! When else will we dress up?

I'm sure I've missed Chicks so a great big wave and a very Happy New Year to all!

Good Morning everyone and Happy New Year!

Hope everyone has a great evening--we are doing the low key thing since I don't feel much like celebrating. We still haven't heard anything about Rosie, I just hope and pray someone has found her and is keeping her safe and warm.

Ruth, have fun at your party tonight! And you're right, I miss Rosie terribly, not eating properly and sleeping very little. Worrying and hoping....

Welcome GinaMarie, hope you like this site and keep coming back!!

Rachel, thanks for all your kind thoughts, I know prayers go a long way! As for dumb speeding tickets--I was late for an ultrasound one morning and got pulled over doing 126 in a 100 km zone--don't ask me what that is in miles So don't feel bad!

Oh Jiff, that is wonderful!!!! Gosh, I'd better step on it to even hope of looking half as good as you when we all meet in May!

Deb, that's what children do--remind us of how old WE are!

tazcat, Happy New Year to you too!!

Oops, I did my post on the other New Years thread.
I'm trying to stay low...I mean low carb, low calorie but my will is weak. So far today I've had two slices of grainy toast with melted cheese and ham, a spinach salad and a piece of seafood pie, a slice of fruitbread and I haven't even thought about dinner yet. I guess I should seeing as it's after 6 pm.
Have a Happy New Year, Chicks. A big hug to all of you. I don't know what I'd do without all your good advice, friendship, laughter and tears.
