What motivates you?

  • The new year is approaching, and Ive seen it said...."A year from now you will wish you started today" So.......what motivates you to stick to your eating plan?

    Here are some of mine...

    -fitting into regular sizes
-tossing out the jeans that I can pull off my hips
-finding bones where I didnt know I had any
-finding out how sweet veggies really are
-taking a swig of pepsi and being disgusted with how sweet it is
-being able to walk for an hour, and want to keep going
-my daughter not telling me anymore that I have a fat belly(she hasnt done it in months)
-sitting comfortably in the movie theatre
-not worrying about wether or not I'll fit into the new rocker hubby bought me for xmas.
-putting on my "skinny" jeans, and thinking my rear looks pretty darn good
-not hearing the truck creak when I get out of it
-being able to go to old navy and buy my size
-sexy lingerie, and the fun that goes with it
-hubby's very proud look when someone notices my changes
-the look on my ex's face when he seen me after 4 months
-being able to cross my legs
    -having a lap!!!
-only 1 and 1/2 chins now!!! lol
-lungs that can take a deep breath without pain

Well, I could go on and on, anyone else?

  • Heres mine...I only have a few

Being able to workout without getting winded
    Seeing my muscles
Ease of working as a nurse
    Better choices of uniforms
    Feeling better about myself
    Being Healthy
  • Most of mine are purely vanity! I'm not ashamed, either.

*Getting my health back so I can play with my daughter and take care of my mother
*Pulling out clothes I haven't worn since high school, finding some of them too big
*My boyfriend telling me he can really tell WHERE I'm losing weight
*Finally having self esteem again (I forgot where I lost it)
*I can cross my legs again, too!

A hundred more little things you take for granted until you can't do them anymore, like running for the elevator without panting the whole trip up. Wow, this was fun!
  • Hearing the success of others !
