Default Menu's for Sat and Sun, 19th and 20th

I saw interest in posting menu's this week, and it is always a healp for me- it gets me planning better, and I can see the problem areas more clearly. I have to get some vegetables into me!!
:tomato:

b- bacon and eggs
l-salad with chicken
s-tuna?
d-salmon and broccoli
s-sf hot chocolate ( 'm trying to schedule a planned treat so I can resist driving through Dunkin Donuts this afternoon!)

Close to Induction, I could use a few days of this, that's for sure!

Default a food failure day for me!!!

oh well. it happens... read and be grateful that this wasn't YOUR day!!!

25 g protein shake [so far so good]

made 1 serving of hot oat bran [the box said it had 7 grams of protein per serving, so i figured that if i ate one serving, with some cheese on it, that i'd manage to hit 10 grams and everything would be fine. after all, how big can a single serving of this hot cereal be????]

the answer: a cup and a half!!!!!! the directions: mix 1/2 cup cereal with 1-1/2 cups water!!!! i mixed in only 1 cup, and it filled. over filled the bowl, and of course all i could manage was about 3/4 of a cup [with an oz of cheese], so maybe i got in about 6-8 grams.

ok. at least it stayed down.

and then lunch at a mexican restaurant. mom and i split the grande fajitas. i ate 3 shrimp, 1 oz or so of meat, 1 oz or so of chicken, a couple of bites of veg, rice, beans. not bad.

and then went to the farm stand and threw it all up!!!! i don't think i chewed it well enough.

took refuge in a decaf cappuccino.

and then a chicken wing [stayed down] and about 1-1/2 oz of cheese. and i'm about done.

so, let's add up the protein: 25 + 8 + 5 [from lunch, SOMETHING must have stayed down!!] + 5 [chicken wing] + 10 [cheese], for a total of 53 grams..

yeah. that's close to 80 grams!!! without a protein shake, there's no hope for today!!!! maybe i can squeeze out another 5 grams from the milk in the coffee?????

now, after all that, here's my question: MAY I HAVE SOME CHOCOLATE?????

tomorrow will be better.

Default Sunday morning plan for the day

Jiff, what a day you had! Hope today goes better!

for me today:

b-broccoli and mushroom quiche(baked enough for a few days)

l-chicken salad

s-?maybe I'll make some soup this afternoon

d-steak with whatever veggie looks good at the store this afternoon.

Yesterday was only so-so. Got through b & l, but snacked on Italian bread with cheese melted on it in the afternoon, and had some more bread with dinner- made garlic bread for DH, and had 2 slices myself. Also a 1/2 baked potato, but that was planned. I felt sort of shakey from low blood sugar a few times during the day, but I think that will subside after getting back on track, but is hard to deal with. I have to eat frequently in the beginning until the magic sets in!

LindaBC, how're you doing?
