The Zone

  • I was wondering about the Zone WOE.

Anybody follow it? I'd be interested in hearing about it. How hard is it to follow and understand?

I'm just exploring all my options before I decide what to do. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Right now I'm follow a low-fat plan, but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do.
  • I am thinking of following it. Do you read woman's world magazine?? they had an article about in their most recent issue.
  • Hi there- I just started the Zone today and what got me going was this little, and I mean LITTLE book I picked up called "A Week in the Zone". It simplifies the plan - and that's what I need - simplicity!
If anyone is interested, would love to get a support thread going here - I am a Sugarbusters believer, but lately something is not clicking and the Zone seems like a good alternative.
    What do you think?

  • HizGal, if you want some guidelines on low carb diets, read
http://www.3fatchicks.com/lowcarb/ Over on the top right hand side are links to summaries of each plan, most of which were compiled by very intelligent forum ladies.

Viv, I think a Zone thread would be great. If I were you, I would just start a thread and see who all joins up. Do a search on The Zone in the forum and see if anybody else has mentioned, and ask them to come to the thread and join in. Sometimes threads are slow to start, but it will gain speed.
  • Hello All!

I also saw the new Woman's World, and I am interested in learning more about "The Zone". Anyone doing this, if so, how do you follow it, and what kind of result are you having? Very interested in finding more out about this.

I'm thinking of buying the book you have, but am so tired of buying "diet" books that suck! Know what I mean?

I think a thread is a great idea. I know I would check it out often.

What bothers me about the Zone is the afternoon snack. I'm always on the go so I would need snacks that I could carry with me in case I didn't make it home. The Zone Perfect bars are out of the question with how much they cost ($2.49 each).

Does the book give any suggestions on that? Does it have any recipes? Does it give enough info?

If I am being a pest or asking too many questions just tell me to shuct up. lol

    Talk to you later!

  • How about borrowing the book from the Public Library? I do that all the time and then decide whether or not to put out the bucks.
  • I tried that, but The don't have it yet. I guess I'll wait for a while and keep checking to see if they get it in.
