What a sweet baby, Pooky! He looks like he'll probably look at age 75 or so.
Well, folks, I'm late in here again and don't really have time to make much of a contribution.
Weighed myself this morning and in the two weeks I've been on the Fat Flush Plan I've lost 5 lb. Knowing how slow my metabolism is and how I've struggled with so many other diets, I'm actually quite pleased. Even more satisfying is the loss of inches. 2 INCHES around my big gut/caboose/hips in two weeks. I won't mention the 2 inches lost around my poor deprived boobs. (sigh) Nice to feel clothes flapping in the breeze instead of flab though (but there's still a good supply there). :lol:
Today was Fly Lady day so I cleaned both bathrooms and did a quick Pledging around the house.
A friend of mine just moved into a new house and is downsizing and she offered me a very nice quality set of bedroom linens including queen size duvet cover, bed skirt, 2 shams, a round table cloth, sheets and even coordinating lamp shades and wall pictures, all for $150. I know she paid about $500+ for these just a couple of years ago in one of those fancy quilt shops. So, I took it home to try it out and see if I like it. The colors are perfect for my room but to be honest, the print is very similar to what I have now and I was hoping to get away from florals and into something a little less frilly. I haven't paid her yet as I just took them home on approval, but I'm worried that she will be mad at me if I tell her I don't want them. It really is a bargain but is a bargain REALLY a bargain if you have to live with a choice you're not ecstatic about. I sure hope she's not upset with me.
