Default Daily Wednesday, August 14 - HUMP Day

Good morning, Sleeping Beauties!

Not a good start to the day, I'm afraid. Hershey puddled on the dining room rug and Lucy joined her with a puddle in the kitchen before I got up! Stereo pee! I was up at 5:20 but I guess their bladders were full of the pool water they drank last night while I was contemplating the sky looking for meteor showers. This is not like my good Girls at all!

Anyhow, the rest of today will be good. I did the pie baking thing yesterday and took the second pie to my neighbour who was really delighted. Does anybody else out ther make pies? It seems to be becoming a lost art.

My company, the Nature Boys from the Bush, will be here sometime today. ( LindaBC, one of the boys is Tamarack from GT - remember him?) These guys, who are not a couple by the way, camp way back in the woods to get away from everything. They do this for a week every summer, usually when the Meteor Show watching is scheduled. This means they sleep daytimes so I have no idea when they will arrive.

However, the puddles are cleaned up, coffee is ready to plug in and I did make it to the Library yesterday. All's right with the world! Now, if the AC guy shows today, I will have a perfect life.

Hope your day is great.

Ruth, I understand about waking to puddles on the rug. Hmmmm? Maybe it was the thing to do last night, dd made a puddle in her bed. She has NEVER done that! Anxiety about school? Who knows!

I of course didn't get any sleep so I'm really dragging this a.m. Hope to drink at least 2 cups of coffee before work, so I guess I better go start the pot!

Ya'll have a great day, I'll check in with you this afternoon!

Good Morning Ruth and all who will follow.......
sounds to me like you have a lovely day planned. Enjoy your company, your good books, and your (only slightly) naughty Girls. Good luck with the a/c guy! About those pies: I've never been able to make a pie crust that didn't need to be cut with a hacksaw!!! I used to do lots of cake and cookies (which I no longer do, cause then I eat them ) . I don't know, maybe it's cause my mom didn't bake much (altho she made a terrific sponge cake!) so I never learned the knack...........

Right now I am suffering the aftereffects of going to the ballgame and consuming a beer, crackerjack and 2 hotdogs: my finger is so swollen that I can't move my ring! It's only been in the last 2 weeks that I've been able to wear it again, too!

Well ladies, have a lovely day!

Wow Sherrie...... you just slipped on in there! Wake up and have a good day!

Good Wednesday Morning ladies,

Love starting my day at the Y. I feel so fresh and energized when I shower and go to work.

We got some much needed rain last night. I love going to bed and with thunder and lightening. The boys handle it ok, although my oldest is beginning to become more frightened during storms. I guess as they get older and gain knowledge, things begin to scare them more.

Don is in religious ed this week and Darren is being bounced around between friends and relatives, he is having a great time. Yesterday he was selling maple seeds in our front yard, you know the propellers that fall from the trees. He was asking 17 cents each. He and his friend only had 2 sales. What kind neighbors to indulge in my boys project. He feels that these seeds are so very important, because they will grow to become trees and trees make oxygen. He is so kind-hearted. He even claimed that these seeds were more important than his new bike, which he loves, because they will help us breathe!

Ruth, hope your day gets better. I rarely make pies, my boys do not like pies so I would be the only one eating them. I love homemade blueberry pies, like my mom used to make. She does not make them anymore, she buys them You are right it is becoming a lost art.

Goodforme, hoping your day gets better.

Samsgrandma, wow great job in the weightloss! Hip Hip Hooray for you!

Hope everyone is having a great, op day!

Good morning early birds,

The water Park was fun but it was really hot! The crowds were unbelievable and I must say the lines were too long. So we swam most of the time and the kids really didn’t really mind. I wanted to go on more rides. We might try again at the end of August.

DH is taking the morning off. He will take the kids to their golf lesson this am. I on the other hand am going to get my eyebrows waxed, and then my toenails pained. I have until 1:30 today so I might go meandering this morning too. Anyway, I have no puddles this am, just trash spread by the birds on the driveway.

Later,
-L

Leens, you're crackin' me up! How are the party plans coming for Gracie's birthday?

Ruthie, hope you have a lovely day even though it didn't start that way

Jenny, sounds like you're in final prep for the kids to back to school, don't get too bogged down with the shopping crowds!

Samsg, Aaah, don't worry about having fun at the ball park, that's what it's there for! Now just get yourself back on your program and low carb it straight for a week and I promise you'll be just fine!

L, have a wooonderful relaxing morning! What a lovely way to start the day, a nice pedi

Sherrie, I bet I know what it is, she's probably tired out and readjusting to her school schedule and she sleeps so hard that she doesn't notice she as to go! Miree hasn't had a record week herself, 2 days in a row with a wet bed!

Can you tell I'm feeling mighty colourful today? Mainly because I figured out a computer glitch and I'm happy it's over now!

Got my obgyn appointment scheduled for Monday and hopefully he will change my PCOS medication to something my poor tummy can handle. I have stopped taking Metformin in the mean time to let my tummy settle down. I expect that things will be easier soon. Also, took a pregnancy test last night and it was negative I'm OK with it though, I start 100 mg of Clomid (fertility drug) my next cycle. Sigh...I wish this wasn't so hard...

Well, enough of feeling sorry for myself,I have a million and one things to do today and finally the weather is cooperating (cool, rainy) so I can get a lot done today!

Have a good one everyone!

AHH, the best laid plans...lol
Little man is flat out on the couch with i think a pinched nerve in his neck.... I have no clue how that happened. So I took older boy to golf lesson rushed to do the brows, back to get him..got him an egg mc muffin and went to get may nails done. He read his book and I have nice feet! the to the video store to rent a video for little man.

i think I will take him to the Chiropractor for some ultrasound this afternoon. it might help.
Anyway my relaxing morning is gone although the result is the same.

Hi Everyone! Didn't make it in yesterday and felt like I was going through withdrawel! DS was a real sport and went with me down to my classroom to get it set up and do bulletin boards. It was hot, but we worked from about 10:00 til 3:00 and got it all done. I was so grateful for his help and company. All of the rain missed our little town by a few miles so we are still dry here, but it is cooler. I was glad of that since DS started 2 a day practices for football today. They go from 7:00-12:30 with a 1/2 hour break. He is really exhausted this afternoon and I am letting him just lay and play Playstation. Don't usually do that, but I can tell he needs some recovery time. I started full fledge into FatFlush program today. I have to say that I am having real cravings, so that must mean I wasn't nearly as low carb as I thought that I was. Hope it works cuz I tried on school clothes today and even with all of my hard work at exercising NOTHING is any looser! I could bawl like a baby, but that won't help, so I won't dwell. Hope everyone else is doing well and having a great day!!

Hi everybody. I'm online earlier than usual but still missed you all by a couple of hours or more, I bet.
Ruth - you've gotta KNOW that I bake pies. How do you think I got this way. I actually make quite a nice pie crust and I really enjoy baking just about anything. However, due to my slight problem with carbs, this is not an activity I engage in very often any more. I did bake a nice batch of double chocolate chip cookies last week and didn't even taste a nibble. Most of them were sent off to Scotland with #2 daughter's birthday gifties. Happy to say they were appreciated by both her and her DH. Also, thrilled that the dress and two of the tops I sent her were a good fit and "acceptable". In fact, she said I "did good" which is high praise indeed. I can hardly wait to see her in October. So glad I thought of using my Aeroplan miles to get her a freebie ticket. She would have felt so bad to miss her best friend's wedding.
Sherrie if your youngster doesn't usually wet the bed, it's possible she has a bit of a cold. That always seems to make my bladder weaker. Also, has she been swimming a lot? It could be a slight chill. OR, she just played too hard during the day and was so deeply asleep that she wasn't even aware that she had to go.
Samsgrandma sounds like you had fun at the ballgame. I can't remember the last time I went to one of those. The food is deadly though. I'd be swollen up like the Goodyear blimp.
Jenny good for you getting to the Y. It's true that you do feel better all day with some morning exercise. I did 1-1/2 hour of pool exercises this morning. Some of it was length swimming, some of it was just water jogging and some of it was weight resistance. It was 1/2 hour longer than I usually do because I was waiting for a friend who said she might be late but she never did show up. Now I'm pretty pooped.
I like going to bed when there's thunder and lightening too. Neither of our kids was ever afraid of storms because we turned them into a watchable event. Of course, we also tried to teach them a little healthy respect for them too.
I think your little fellow is so enterprising. Imagine selling maple seeds to raise money! That is so sweet. A budding ecologist there?L- too bad about your kidlet getting a crick in his neck and messing up your plans. I hope he'll be ok tho. I also hope you get to have some time to yourself. It's so important for our mental health to have some "me time".
Speaking of mental health...uh....LEENS???? You gonna be ok?
Pooky keeping fingers crossed that you get some good news today.
Princess Jihan I hope you get your medical problems straightened out. It sure isn't any fun feeling under the weather, especially in mid summer. Take care.

Another hot day here. I have boiled some eggs for deviled eggs for dinner tonight. I have a cold bbq chicken in the fridge and the makings for a nice tomato salad. DH can have a couple of dinner rolls with his.

I went out and purchased the Fat Flush Plan book yesterday. It makes a lot of sense and I'm thinking of giving it a trial next week perhaps. It could be a major problem for somebody who is eating a lot of starchy things and likes a lot of coffee but those have been pretty much eliminated from my diet for some time. The only problem I might have with the plan is doing without salt. I do like my salt I'm afraid. I've been reading up on some other forums and some people have had fantastic results with this diet plan. It's supposed to detoxify the liver thereby flushing out stored fats. I'll let you know if and when I start it. I have to get some of the supplements first. BTW, some of the things the author suggests make good sense with ANY weight loss plan. She recommends natural cranberry juice diluted in lots of pure water - 8 glasses a day. How bad can that be for you? She also recommends Evening Primrose Oil and Flaxseed oil to help flush out those fat cells.
Anyhow, that's all for now.

Good afternoon. One more crappy day under my belt. I swear, I feel like I can't do anything right at work these days! Big boss called me 4 times to holler at me about piddly diddly stuff. I wish they would just get as fed up as I am and fire me! As if!

Anyway, off to bathe dd and fix dinner. Her grandma went to school today and ate lunch with her, so she of course spilled spaghetti sauce all over her brand new white shirt! Now she's starving, AGAIN! So, I'll talk to you guys later!
