Default The Weekend - May 4 & 5

Gorgeous morning finally!!!! It had darn well better not cloud over or I will have to speak to Management!

Putting in the Dog Garden area was one of the best decisions I ever made! The work was finally finished yesterday afternoon getting the fencing) and the Girls romped for about an hour while Harry and I sat on the deck, sipped Mateus wine and watched them have fun. Now we will see how my perennials in that area survive! Sure was great to just let them out the door at 5:30 this morning while I got their breakfasts ready. After they had eaten, I took my coffee outside with them and loafed on the deck watching the sunrise.

Hershey and I are off to do a wee bit of accounting work at the Office and then to the Church for another 2 hour blitz of cleanup. Hersh considers the Church her house and sits on the step and watches. After that (we quit at 10), I'll do some gardening here. The asparagus is up, by the way, so I now believe that Spring is coming. Looks like a BBQ supper tonight if the weather holds.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend! I sure intend to have one!

HI Ruth and those to follow!!!

Got back from AZ last night after the day from he**. Purposely took a 630am flight so I would get home early to be with the kids...both flights were over 2 hours late due to weather got home at 8pm. Gotta love Atlanta...thats were I connected. But in the big scheme of things it is not that big of a deal! Other than that it was a good trip.....

Was happy to see the kids little DD won't let me out of her sight. I have to go catch up on all the posts talk to you all later!!

Hiya Ruthie and Scooby and all those to come!

Today is just as gorgeous here Ruth, I can't wait to FINALLY get outside and into my garden!! I have some beds to prepare and some raking (infernal raking that's never done!) and I'm even going to mow the front lawn! (septic tank is underneath if ya know what I mean!)

Tomorrow is my friend's son's birthday party and Miree is so excited! She finally understands what a birthday party is and what you do there so it ought to be really fun for her. I hope the weather holds out so the kids can go outside to play. Skyler (the little boy) is just 6 days older than Miree and they are the best of friends.

Thanks for the encouragement on the job front, seems that there's nothing else to do but wait for a phonecall--gee Jiff, seems we are both in the same boat!

Have a great weekend everyone!

You guys crack me up!

I'm in Portland this weekend. My auntie is getting married tomorrow to her long time love. I am really happy for her because she spent many years married to a creep and then when he moved her out and divorced her, the transformation in her life was unbelievable -- she is so confident and independant. Then she met Leo and it was so obvious how much he worships her and she him. So, after 10 years together, they are going to try the knot! Wooohooo!

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Morning Ruth! Morning Scooby! Morning Pooky! Morning Susan!

Nice day here too! Scooby, nice to see you back home...missed ya in the morning!

Pooky, way to vent girlie!!! I am so proud of you for letting things rip instead of keeping it all inside and turning to the food things!!!! WTG!!!

Hey! Susan, is that an on line journal that we can read?

MIL is up, sitting in a chair and eating! WOWSER!!! She is one tough, determined chic! Love her! Dh will be home tomorrow and the boys are holding up with a little (well a lot) of help from Auntie Jiff, who smells darn good and could not have preformed such Auntly feats (feets HA) 6 months ago...love her too! She took the big kid out to dinner last night and tonight she will pick him up from baseball practice and come over here for dinner, with mom. Pizza for the kidlets and Mom, fish for Aunty Jiff and me.

Trip to toys r us this afternoon, the boys have been really good and staying asleep all night and that is a happy thing for this mom!

Sure wish I could catch up on the mountain of laundry before dh comes home! Oh well, we do what we can! AND I have caught a bit of flack for not being in communication with the step children concerning their grandma...BAD STEP MOMMY DEAREST (think...joan crawford?)...smack me silly!!!!

I am very grateful for being able to stay on program. Usually, in the past I would be eating my face off but I have been op and feel all the stronger for it!

Did not get to see the doc concerning my foot yesterday so I squeezed the heck out of it and got that darn glass out of there! I figured if I had to go to the emergency room like the doc's office told me too, I might as well give the squeezing a go (thank you Debkay for the ambesol tip!) and if it didn't work out they would have a REAL emergency on their hands! Happy Happy Happy Feet!!!

Too much info?!?!?! I am sure! Catch you chickies later!

Ok, get this...
After rearranging my entire home (ok, most of my home) switching dd's bedroom, moving dh and my things upstairs, building handrails and whatever else in our "old" bathroom all for MIL...SHE WENT HOME TODAY!!!!!
She apparently decided that she wanted her own shower, and they just got up and left this morning?!?!?!?! After FIL told me I needed to work on being happier! Oh, thats nice!
Anyway I think they'll be back in a month, which is fine, the rooms are already switched now, so all we need is to move clothing, but still, quite a job!!!
Maybe now I can get OP!!!! I was only cooking what they would eat, (think old time Southern food ie:FRIED anything and everything!!) Uggh!!
So now I'm off to do laundry until the sun goes down! Then go have a margirita in honor of Cinco de Mayo...Ok, don't speak Spanish, but think thats spelled ok???
Oh, will someone please explain to me how to attach a picture? I have never shown you all my perfect little ones!!
Take care all

We just got home from shopping AGAIN. Wowzers! We have a oak diningroom table, two leaves and six chairs that need redoing badly. The table has a formica top and it's beaten. We got an estimate of $1600 to have it redone. For God sakes, we didn't pay that much for the whole thing new! So, we're looking at new furniture and selling the old one. I thoroughly enjoy salesmen who think that I'm the little woman with no brains! Such fools. After I get done with them, they check if they have any testicles left.

Then we went into a kitchen gadget place and I found a pickle picker. It has four prongs that grab the pickle. Well, you all know where I and a group of other women went with that! DH finally dragged me out of there laughing like a dirty old lady.

Well, am off to do some odds and ends in the kitchen. See ya later, girls!

OMG TIPPY do not go near that sotre with that pickle picker!!

My friend and i have a saying we wait for no man!!! and she really means it!!! You do NOT try to pull anything over her!!! even her DH lets her have her way and warns the men to stay out of her way!!! It is sure funny to watch her go to it!!!

Peach yes it is an online jopurnal. I just need to use it. I am planning on building a web site too. but it may be a while before i get that far. it is from www.fitday.com i just been scared to use it as i have been not so good. so i am feeling better even though i have not been great, i felt that if i had it in my signature i would use it more and know that people can see what i am eating!! So nowi i will go and fill it in!

Talking Busy Beautiful Day!!!

Hi All

What a wonderful day we had today .. weather was warm but not too bad .. accomplished a fair amount today. Stained the patio chairs, started planting in the garden (well my friend & I did) It never looks like enough plants .. cant wait to see them all growed up Chopped down one of the stupid pear trees .. I dont like fruit trees ... too much like work to keep them fruitful I think if the weather remains good for the next little bit I will stain the deck and the fence .. they are both a year old and need to be done this year. Boy oh Boy do I have my work cut out for me I just hope all stays quiet on the homefront.

I took my DH's family bible in to see how much it would cost to restore it .. $500.00!!!! Now it is in bad shape but that much .. this guy does it as a hobby and of course for additional income .. sounds like a "hobby" that could make someone a nice little bundle as there are not many people who do this type of work anymore.

Well, I have to go and work on the pile of laundry that has appeared .. hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Good Sunday Morning!

Was out in the Dog Garden with the Girls at sunrise and gawked at a huge flock of Canada geese flying directly overhead. The Girls barked and I got decorated! They say it's good luck to be pooped on by a bird but this much luck I'm not needing! Anyhow, had another shower and hair wash and am getting ready for Church.

got lots done at the Church yesterday and planted more lilac bushes in the Dog Garden. Filled them in halfway, watered them in, had a tea on the deck and went to fill in the rest. Miss Lucy had removed them! They went back in, got watered in and now are inside tomato cages.

Gotta get into the respectable duds. Catch you later.

Default poor ruth!!!

what a way to start the day!!!! eeeeewwwwwwwww!!!!!

at least you know that it HAS to get better!!!!

hmm. let's see. what's going on around here... yesterday was very very busy. this work thing is for the birds!!!! mom and i did errands!!!!! i WARNED her that she'd have to be up and out early, and good sport that she is, we were out before 10!!! i had hoped for 9:30, but not bad,

and the running started, with a break for manicures and lunch, of course. we went to GNC, where i picked up a liquid vitamin because i'm having so much trouble with pills. girls, here's a warning... that MIRACLE 2000 liquid vitamin is FOUL!!!!!

if anyone knows of another one, please let me know!!! something that can at least be gagged down in fairly undiluted form, since i can't really drink juice either

and then, mom and i picked peachie's older boy up at little league practice. what a cutie he is!!!! and he had so many things to carry!!! i offered to help, but he refused. he seemed to get a little nervous, though, when i said that grandma gets to keep anything he dropped, and she's been wanting a new mitt!!!

dinner with peachie and da boyz was great. so nice to see them. noise and all.

and today??? should be fairly quiet, at least after i return that awful liquid vitamin!!! laundry, some rest. for tomorrow, WORK AGAIN!!!!

it's such a double edged sword. don't get me wrong, i love and need the intellectual stimulation, it's great to be getting out of the house and finally making some money. BUT, where's the dawdling time??? the occasional afternoon nap?? the sitting in the sun for an hour with a good book??????

reality bites!!!

here's hoping ya;ll have some great weather you can enjoy, even in the wilds of the frozen north [aka canada]!!!!
