Gee whiz! You chicks really reacted to yesterday's poem! The trampoline idea sounds great. Keep them coming!
Here's a poem that suits the weather for today!
"Cold, dark, miserable and glum!
Cold as the fur on a polar bear's bum!"
My Dad used to say that all the time and we kids thought it really daring - remember when "bum" was a bad word? Fanny was borderline and then there were "fronts" for boobs. See, I'm getting really old and dwelling on the past.
The fence is finally up and the gate is hung. HOWEVER (and life is full of howevers!) the gate is just the frame with no wire yet. I blocked off the opening with a door and the Girls had their first major romp in the Dog Garden last night. Kevin and his merry men come back this morning to finish - rain or shine he said!
Yesterday was Lucy's Evaluation Day with the Breeder, the Handler and a new Trainer. She got 10-10-10, dammit! She also got her first show cut amd my darling puppy is gone. Now we have to get serious about training to get her ready for her first show. Lucy looks fabulous but I certainly miss my shaggy ball of fluff. Remind me to get a mutt from the Dump next time!
We are taking the car in for its maintenance this morning at 8 and may take a look at an additional vehicle. My Focus is great but the trunk will not handle dog carrier cases. I am sort of leaning towards a truck again as I miss our old black wreck. However, it would be hard for DH to climb into so will probably get a wagon or a hatchback. Most vans I've checked out have the same climbing problem. The Dealer and his dad before him has sold cars to my family for three generations so I won't be pressured by him.
Back on track with food today after a horrible two days. That damned scale really can affect my attitude. I go up because of Chinese one night and cannot get back on track for two more days despite good intentions. Grrrrr! Started the day with a good breakfast today - yesterday I had red licorice for breakfast and it was downhill after that!
Gotta clean the teeth and put on enough makeup to look human. Then we are off to the dealer. I'll be at Lisa's this afternoon getting stuff organized for her homecoming - like groceries in the fridge and stuff cooked ahead. Her DH (a great guy) loves to BBQ so that will work out well.
Have a great Thursday!

But, will down it now and hope this yucky feeling goes away.

The good news is that I'm down 3 more ponds and it seems the lower dosage of Metformin is working for me. Not nearly as nauseous as I was.
