Despite the fact that I'm trying so hard to do and ask/say the right thing....I'M WITH YOU GURLFRIEND! Maybe the correct and comfortable response should be... Aww, gee, I would love to get together BUT I'm in the middle of a damned audit! Maybe next time? :lol:

This is such a touchy subject!!!

Tippy .... if he has not had counselling I would not go near him!!

If you are that uncomfortable ... you should avoid him. If your friend asks .. tell her you are uncomfortable. If she is a true friend she will understand.

People can change. I really believe that. They only do if they want too though. And God plays a big factor. I would also tell your friend I want to know nothing more of her sex life.

These things are tough Tippy ... but I think you have the right idea and I am very proud of you. ;)

OK, I'm a late comer to this discussion but having been in nearly the same circumstances (minus the killing and molestation but definitely a bad seed) this is pretty much how I handled it. I said that I would gladly see if I can "spare a night" where we can get together at a restaurant for a meal, but other than that time I am totally booked solid. Made no mention of kids and didn't bring pictures. I figured that out in a middle of a restaurant was a pretty safe place to be. And after that, you can leave knowing you saw your friend, endured her dh and then you can go home and have a shower!

Yup Pooky, and spray myself with Lysol spray. The thought of meeting this man gives me the heebie-jeebies.

What is really interesting is that he must make Jane happy. I know that because she had an aneursym, she can't do certain household chores and he helps her. Since she was diagnosed with diabetes, he keeps certain foods out of the house. On the other hand, once in awhile he gets drunk and she has to go find him and he usually has wet himself. GROSS! He has never been violent with her...!

Hopefully, she will continue to be happy but not around me or my family!
