Good morning, Chickies. Hope everyone has a coffee or tea.
I think I'll just go back to bed until Spring. I sure got used to that springlike weather and suffered mightily out there this morning. The plow "lad" pushed all the snow into a "mountain" beside the barn which delighted the dogs but not me when I had to climb it to go after them. Oh well, in two months or less it will be gone - I hope. Seems to me we still had snow in mid-April last year.
Now that I can get the car on the road I have a busy day planned. The first thing is to go with Hershey to visit the Nursing Home. There are several missing faces there so it will be a bit sad for me. I wonder if Hersh will notice. I may take in Lucy for a short visit next week - right now she is a bit nippy when she wants to play. Maybe I could drug her so she is sweet and cuddly for the old folks.
Then the un-fun stuff starts! My fancy dancy new puffer BROKE last night so I need to talk them into a replacement. We have a Christening at Church tomorrow which calls for extra prep and I need to get a birthday gift for the Sunday party. I am hoping my Avon order came in because I ordered a cow telephone which would be perfect. Oh yes - yesterday I broke all the coffee mugs from the Church so need to replace them today or go with styrofoam tomorrow - and I hate styrofoam! We have no water in the Church in winter as we only heat it on Sunday so coffee mugs have to be taken home and washed. I do it because I refuse to switch to styrofoam. Whine! Whine! I'm done now.
Re these DH's who are on the S-List - when they do come around, I think we should make them hair shirts to wear for a while as a penance. Since PETA would get after us for using animal hair, how about knitting or crocheting some out of steel wool? I'm sure Peachie and Jiff could get this organized. We might even be able to branch out and sell them to raise money for this website. Any takers?
Tried the Chicken Osso Bucco last night - it was darn good. I'll take another look at the recipe and maybe post it. Served it with pasta for DH and spaghetti squash for me and sprinkled it with gremolata - lemon peel, parsley and garlic. If anyone is in a real hurry, I can scan the recipe and send it email. Same for the Old Fashioned Beef Stew which I won't get posted today or tomorrow, I'm sure.
Sheesh! It's after 8 so I'd better get goping. Have a great Saturday.
Oh my it is late and have to do soccer with the little guys their first day!! this will be fun! much cleaning going on here today inbetween the soccer thing will be spending over 3 hours at the gym during this time I will let the boys swim and workout after theyare done!
DH went to the doc last night there was to muc fluid in the incisin wo we have to wait another week before they remove the staples. UGH another week of his grumping. I can not stand it!! I willrip them out my self and send him back to work!! I get the pleasure of putting a pressure dressing on which entails wraping the outter thigh up near his UUHHHUUMMMs with a tight ace. I just might get the "boys" stuck in the ace and see how he likes it!!! Right now it is all i have to do to not tie them up!!! OOOHHHH it sounds too good
well i had better get some coffee before my anger gets the better of me!!!
My Dh and DS are gone for the weekend. YEA!!! Peace. DD an I are going shopping for a few things and that is it. Worked on my resume some this morning, I need a new job.

Ruth, how on earth did you break all the mugs? Did they clunk against your metal bra again? I'm with you guys, I hate styrofoam. Yuck.
Not much planned for me this weekend except for DD's soccer and basketball games. Right now she's being such a pill that I may have to put her in the trunk to get her to the games (darn, I drive an SUV, don't have a trunk!)

Aaah.. finally able to get i here! Mys erver went down someitme this moring--I didn't notice becasue dh let me sleep until 11am!! On top of that--dishes were done and coffee was ready! Isn't he fabulous? I spent the afternoon making a replica recipe of Cinnabon's Cinnamon buns. I'm here to tell you they are NOT OP and definitely delicious! I am now cooking myself a hanburger patty with cheese to balance it all out a little. Water is in hand too--ahhh the price we pay for our sins, hmmmm????
Not much doing today--took down 3 garbage bags of old toys Miree doesn't play with anymore down to the basement for storage. And it still looks like Toys 'R' Us in here! Sheesh!
wow, sleep till 11am? I wish I could do that. It gets so warm here in the morning, we use wind circulation, rather than AC, so when it hits 90 at like 7am, well, you are out of bed in a flash...really, i tend to get up early say 6am so as to help DH out to work. I used to work down here, I am a retail merchandiser, and i dress windows and stuff. Now, i stay at home which is kinda nice cause i have lots of time to devote to me. In Venezuela the work week is monday thru saturday, so DH is just returning home now. Sunday is his only day with me so I take it off from excersizing and usually make a special meal for us...I ran today, it was the fifth time this week. I am so excited, this means i am really doing this regularly. It is the end of my third week, and the more i review my food choices and stuff it appears more than before that i am doing the the sugar busters thing right for once. my cravings are down, though i am allowing my self a treat of some kind every day, whether it is a hersey kiss (a Toblerone piece of the same size, they are cheap here...) or a bit of cocoa in my coffee. I am still making progress, and i don't feel deprived. I really want to make this change for life, so i am trying not to think of it as a diet...I want to be moderate about this which is why i decided against high protein. My nurse practioner warned me that i need to be carful due to my PCOS, so i am trying to be good...(Funny I nealy typed trying to be FOOD rather than GOOD.) I must be hungry. I am off to eat my cheese burger that DH is bringing home...
