Thumbs down Anyone else have this problem??? BBBRRRR!

O.K. I know I'm not silly because I remember this from the last time that I did low carbing. I am ALWAYS so cold!!! I mean my hands and feet feel like I've stepped out of an ice box!

I've taken my temp. and it's close to being normal. Anyone else have this problem. I'ts gotten to the point where the other day I was so cold that I took a hot bath just to get warm. What's a girl to do!?!?

Yup! I am very well-insulated and am cold when I strictly low-carb. I usually wear and extra t-shirt ubnder my sweats. It also helps to drink warm water and be sure you are getting lots of fat in your meals.

Default YEP THAT'S ME

BEEN THERE DONE THAT BOUGHT THE T-SHIRT!

I am freezing cold all the time! But my temperature actually stays a little below normal. I'm sure it has nothing to do with a slow metabolism and low thyroid but I can't get a doctor to agree with me on the matter!

The only time I am not cold is when I am walking! hmmmmmm could be a sign! lol

Can anybody say - gloves! socks! sweats! and hot coffee!

hug somebody and keep them warm!

So THAT'S why I'm cold! DOH! I thoughtit was my house which is older and drafty. I alos just run a woodstove and that keeps it nice and temperate (around 70 degrees) yet I'm an icecube! LOL

Hmmm. I haven't experienced that problem yet (but then I've only been back OP for 2 days). Question: Are you all taking your multi-vitamins/minerals? Could be your iron count is low. When I was anemic after giving birth to our son, I was freezing (and it was 90 F outside!). Just a thought.

Default good point jdoneil !

I stay anemic so maybe that explains the mystery of why I stay cold! I just thought it was poor metabolism and probably a low thyroid! Thanks for clarifying that in my mind!

I have heard from another user of PP that her doc which encouraged her to eat Low carb has told her to go off it when the winter is here. I am NOT gpong to do that. I am going to ask the professionals about this so i can get a clear answer. yes i do take my vits. I am far from anemic and really do not have a low metabolism i think I exercise atleast 45 min daily. I am clueless!! I really do not think i am hypothyroid. but that is a thought. last time i was checked it was not that so i am fine that way there has been no changes in my energy level (till today). but that is a temp thing.

I will pass on anything that i come accross.

Ok! so I am cold alot...but then I have these moments when I seem to generate a tremendous amount of HEAT ....is this a perimenopausal thing???? Menopause thing? Hormones and all that good junk? (I have no shame)
